If you disregard the outside seating (which looked disheveled, with old food boxes and trash which appeared to be there for days) and head indoors, the first impression is slightly better although still not great. But... for a quick visit while in between meetings the food and service were more important. The Staff (including my waitress Janella) were very friendly and helpful. The food at BWW varies by location, and at this place it was decent. I ordered the Ultimate Appetizer where you pick for items, and chose boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and mini burgers. They taste better than they looked. 1 star for each of the patty melts they made me...The only reason the 2nd one was better than the first was because at least the cheese was melted. 1st patty melt - aoli and onions, no where to be found, cheese not melted. What compounded the issue is multiple entry points and no order to who arrived when to determine who's next. After a while we were seated in an area that provided a view of every screen so we could finish watching some games. After a short wait our server took our orders for apps and drinks. A short while later she took our orders. Our food arrived after a little wait. Not much to say. It's typical fair for this chain restaurant. The only reason I'm giving four stars was our server. Shawanda was great! She was responsible for a lot of tables and she seemed to perform her duties flawlessly, efficiently, and always smiled. This location does have it hard. Being in uptown their clientele really can range, which doesn't help them out. I've been when they've been so backed up that it's taken 1-2 hours to get your food even if you're ordering to-go. This typically happens during a game day (even just watching on the screens) or an event happening where a lot of attendees swarm in. They're out of ingredients for drinks and food at times. The staff really do try their best but dealing with people complaining all day and being backed up doesn't help make their jobs any easier. In the hour I was there I saw two tables leave (a couple after ordering drinks, but couldn't wait the time for food and the other table of 4 guys waited 10 minutes and no one spoke to them so they all left). It took 25 minutes for us to get a drink and over 50 minutes for food. Although there was baseball and fight night, my TV was on a skin care infomercial....again, lack of attention and no urgency.
