The mens department is a joke. Why cant all macys carry the same inventory? I shouldnt have to drive to SF if i want luxury. I went looking for shoes for work. They had like 6 little table displays for Mens shoes, all were awful. I needed something however so i bought some CK driving shoes that are OK... There was one attendant, she was the only saving grace. She worked hard to juggle all of us in the dept by herself. Id write her name but her name tag was upside down, so no reason for the effort. I'm reviewing the MAC counter in particular. Rude ladies working this counter. I waited a while for someone to help me and they finally noticed that I was buying quite a few things and then they decided to help me...for what? The commission? About a week later a couple of items I bought did not work for me. No one was there to help until I asked a worker that was counting money at the MAC register. The girl that helped me ended up interrogating me as to why I didn't like the product. Really?! She implied that I was using the product wrong. I was planning to buy more product but wasn't about to help give this girl her sales goal. I know this makes little impact on Macy's and MAC sales but these companies need to know not to hire rude and invasive staff. I plan to just shop online from now on. No hassle and no rudeness. read more

I came in to buy my first MK products. I got myself a crossbody and a wallet to go with it. Lynn, really nice person, helped me out the whole time I was there. If you go during the week it is nearly impossible to find an employee for help or to initiate a purchase. I usually walk to every department with my item like a lost child trying to find a Macy's employee. read more

This is possibly the worst Macy's I have e ever entered, and I'm giving it any stars because after searching...and searching... and shouting for help...I found a great customer service rep so I could pay for my few items and she hooked me up with an extra discount. It was my birthday. I expect that from a store. So, my birthday, my Mom & a friend wanted to take me shopping. We drove to Macy because there was a super sale, Mom has a Macy's card, big discounts, why not? My bday was in October, I always buy a few Charter Club Cashmere sweaters around the holidays, so that and whatever I wanted was the plan. I'm 40, so I was also going to buy myself whatever I wanted. I left with 5 items, and 4 of those I bought just to buy something and make my Mom happy. I wanted a new frangrance, and asked for what I was looking for. This was the response I received when I asked if they sold A certain perfume--" I'm obviously makeup--? I don't know about perfume." Clearly, she knew nothing about customer service, either. The store itself does not have a great selection. I found a pair of black flats, and a cute jean jacket. There was a sweater on a mannequin on a stage display in the middle of the store that I wanted-- it was the only one in my size. I searched hi and lo for some help in that store, and even yelled "Help!" In my frustration-- at this point I was trying to have fun because the experience was really dismal. After ten minutes, I climbed up onto the display stage, removed an arm off the mannequin so I could remove the sweater, and left a half naked mannequin, waving to no one, in nothing but Joes Jeans. AT NO TIME DID ANYONE STOP ME, LET ALONE SPEAK TO ME! IT was like being in a ghost town! Mom and I were weirded out, wanted to leave, and after rotating to every register found someone folding towels who would help us. She was a great customer service rep, gave us an extra discount for our troubles, and was the only reason I can say anything nice about this store. I would have to say not a huge fan of this Macys....every department seems so cramped up to each other....especially the make up and fragrance counters. It does not have the same inventory as other macys for sure. read more

They have little bit of everything. However their customer service is terrible. Sales associates gather around talking and ignore customers, U ask questions or need help on sizes and they seem to get irate. This store needs to work on customer service overall. The store is clean most of the time. read more

I guess Macy's is a nice edition to the lack of great shops here in this crappy town called Tracy. Considering our "mall" is embarrassing. However, this Macy's is a smaller version and it is easy to tell. It appears like everything is crammed together in small sections without any true organization. So if I shop here if at all it is usually for something from the Mac counter and that's about it. Otherwise if I want to shop shop I go elsewhere. read more

This store is small and has limited clothing. They have given more room for purse and shoes than clothing options. The staff in the shoe department today (1/5/2012) were extremely rude. It appears to have no staff, then I saw a lady step behind the cashier and didn't see anyone else. I walk around and came back, still the lady I first saw was still sitting in her chair waiting to get a shoe. I asked her if she was waiting long, she rolled her eyes and said yeah, I'm thinking of leaving. I asked the cashier if she had anyone helping her with shoes, she said, 'we are helping our other cusotmers right now'.....really, gee, I thought it was a normal question, so I put my shoe down (not on sale either) and walked out. I'll drive to Nordstroms, it is worth the positive experience compared to this treatment. read more

My complaint isn't specifically with Macy's but the Clinique counter at Macy's. I stood at the counter for probably 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledge my presence. I asked for the lipstick color I wanted and she told me she didn't work at that counter but that she will look around. She looked for 10 seconds and said "it looks like we don't have it" (barely opened a drawer) I was tired of shopping so i decided to just leave and come back in a few days when there might be someone working the counter. when i came back there was a young woman helping an older woman at the Clinique counter and she bought something and went on her way. As i started asking the young woman about the lipstick she rudely interrupted me and said " I actually don't work at this counter so i can't help you" after i literally watched her help a woman and check her out at that counter! I was very irritated but kept my nice tone and said "ok is there someone who can help me then" she pointed me in the direction of the mac counter so i asked one of the women there for help and she pretty much told me the same thing (although i learned later that mac girls aren't hired by Macy's so i don't blame her). She politely pointed me in the direction of someone else who was very rude and snippy to both me and the Mac girl and said "its not my problem" So i left because i was honestly really mad at this point. I found my mom and she went to the counter and immediately had someone help her and find the lipstick i was looking for, but i refused to buy it due to their poor customer service and ended up buying it in Stoneridge where they were very polite and helped me instead of just trying to put me off on someone else. I am very disappointed in there poor customer service and not to mention just plain rudeness. read more

The clinic counter, me thinks not...me wif says to me as she is unhappy...please do not make my lovely wife unhappy...so she goes there and buys you know ...stuff for the facce and its expensive as all get up, but hey its your wiffy, and you have to keep her happy, so she goes back the next day and hey - she buys $20 bucks more ... but wait ... to get the free gift you have to spend $21 so the lady says NOPE! - "no soup for you" or in this case "NO GIFT FOR YOU"; so the gift nazi refuses my lovely wifes gift, ok fine I fix it, hehehehe so I said I'll fix it, so I took everything back the next day and said ...NO SALE FOR YOU LOL ....did you have the gift to return sure...the dog ate it read more

Try to find help in that store and you'll spend all day trying to find someone. Rude workers. Cheap looking clothes. Macy's has really gone down hill over the years. read more

wonderful place to go if you want to Window Shop and great place to look if you're looking for name-brand close and great place to register Four Weddings or baby shower but the service sucks until you get up to the register the people at the register are extremely nice but even when something's on sale it's still way too expensive read more

This is a very nice store with a great selection. They keep it very neat. The men's dress pants section could use a few more options. The baby section is a bit pricy but the quality is good. read more

I went in to Macy's because I was looking last minute for a dress to wear to my high school reunion. I was in a big rush so I grabbed a dress and a pair of shoes and was out the door. As I started to put on the dress, I noticed there was a makeup stain on the front of it that I didn't catch. I decided to look at my shoes and discovered that I had 2 different sizes! The fact that someone did not catch either of these major issues makes me want to shop elsewhere from now on! read more

I can see why Macys is losing sales. Hard to shop there when there's no one around to ask for help or ask a question. There's barely any checkout cash registers and I had to walk around for awhile to find one and when I did, it was closed down. More walking around! I'm disabled and by this time my leg was in pain. A sales lady in shoes sales carried my stuff for me clear to the back of the store. More walking‼ I waited in line with another irate customer who had been waiting for awhile since the only cashier was having problems with another customer and was on the phone for quite a while. What brought it to a Head was when the lady finally got help, she couldn't use a coupon on her merchandise and stated she had never been able to use a coupon at this store. Well I lightened up on my complaints since I saw the sales lady was starting to get stressed out and was showing remarkable patience for someone so young. Uuuugh!!! read more
