This Macy's is probably the smallest one i've ever been to. However, they do have a good selection to go through. When I went they had a lot of clearance items in every department, which was super exciting! I ended up getting a good amount of house items like, pots, pans, and cute oven mitts. ALL FOR MORE THAN HALF OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE! I also got to help my mom pick a nice bag that really fit her style. I had a lot of fun seeing which items were actually cheaper than marked. read more

I'm a Rep who has 21 Macys in my territory and let me say this for a small town Macy's this is nice! The store its self is bright and clean, newer counters and fixtures and displays. Newer price tag readers (that work!) newer registers and staff. Give the staff sometime to get use to things. For a Macy's being in Tracy, CA it will definitley boost local economy. Just look how busy that mall is now. The stores selection is very limited but if you look at it - do you really need Jessica Simpson shoes and Barbara Berry bedding. Dropped by the jewelry department to pick up a birthday gift for my mother. I was quickly approached by one of the saleswomen, Leonora, who greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any assistance. I was thrown off by her kindness and how attentive she was. She spent half an hour of her time helping me pick out a lovely diamond pendant for my mother. I am very pleased with my experience here, and my mother is very pleased with her new gift. read more

This Macy's is a disappointment in almost every area. The floor in the lingerie department covered with merchandise; you have to step over items to shop every time I shop there. Fitting rooms always a mess with clothing items strewn all over. Finding help is impossible. Make-up sections, more often than not, out of products. Quality of clothing merchandise is very poor; not what one expects from Macy's. Return counter gets the best review.....they have always been helpful, fast service and competent. Richard and Kevin at the shoe department are the reason why I will come back when I am in Tracy. They were professional, helpful, and Kevin "heard" me when I saw the shoe selection that he brought out for me to try which resulted in a sale. The shoe department is quite small compared to the other Macy's that I frequent (in and out of state). But I found what I was looking for and the help was better than most of the Macy's that I have been to. read more

I went to our Tracy Macy's yesterday with an exchange issue and for an advertised sale. I asked for a manager and was helped right away. The issue was completely resolved. It's a benefit to shoppers who like Macy's to use their card as they deliver the tiers of service outlined. There are so many gems to find at Macy's! A customer can really utilize their sales and offers to maximize purchasing power. The sales representatives definitely assist in this. The women's department is really stocked. I wish they had a greater selection for older boys as I like shopping there for my son as well. Keeping it at 5 stars but I do wish our Macy's would stock more Levi's Jeans and Epic Threads Tops for older boys. read more

I called this store tonight, I tried for 45 minutes, only to get transferred back and forth to different departments. I was calling to get an extension for some things I had on hold, only to be told, they were put back on the floor. However, it was only 7:30 p.m. they usually hold until closing. As kids, we'd come to Macy's to shop for our "nice" clothes. This was our last failed attempt at finding something nice for our kid at this location. This is a great place to find house brand, Under Armor, Nike and Hurley t-shirts and then a rack of formal wear. No button up shirts, no stylish woven shirts, nothing you could consider as "nice". So sad that retail sacrifices customer service just to save on payroll. Not impressed by this macys at all. It's so cramped inside and they don't have any nice brand clothes. It's literally like southland macys. I honestly rather drive the 45 mins to stoneridge. macy tracy is a store. macy tracy is only one floor. walking to there is a chore. macy tracy is a bore. **************************** sure, it's new, with its shiny fixtures and squeaky clean floors. but you have to stop and wonder why macy's corp hemmoraged money to open up a less than standard store front at this mall. it is more paired down than even the lacking macy's stores i've been in (here's looking at you stockton, and vallco in san jose)! the men's department is the size of a postage stamp lacking many brands; the home section is smaller than the college dorm room i shared my frosh year, and in the center of the store a partition teases the name "impulse" dept, but there are absolutely NO impulse items to be found. no bcbg, no citizens, no free people, no c&c, no ella moss, no bailey 44, no paige, not anything even remotely resembling the impulse brands -- which sets macy's apart from everywhere else in the central valley because they are the only outpost out here that carries this type of clothing. it is readily apparent that this macy's is comprised of 90% of their in-house brands. it's disappointing. staff seemed friendly and helpful, with the exception of a crazed employee by the name of melena. you could tell that the other staff members were pretty irritated with her, and i think the store had only been open for around 30 minutes when i encountered her. not sure if she was in a management position since she had a key around her arm, but if so, she seemed really clueless and just made everyone else's transactions (workers and customers) very chaotic. here's hoping she gets some much needed training and lays off the caffeine. read more

They have closed all women's dressing rooms except one. Associate said that is because they are remodeling the others. I have heard this same excuse for months, but nothing appears to be happening. Only one checkout and often the wait is long. They no longer care about their shoppers. read more

Very poor customer service! Would not honor a sale price of an item sitting with other products that were the same. Ruth the manager here in Macy's was rude , did not provide me with the best customer service a manager should provide to a customer. There is one amazing makeup artist at MAC in this Macys and she is the one reason I keep going back! JC is the most amazing person! I've never worn MAC makeup before and she was so friendly and willing to help me get exactly what I needed! I didn't feel pressured to buy anything either! She treats me like an individual instead of another customer. I love going to Macys in Tracy and seeing her smiling face! Her bubbly personality makes the trip such a fun one! The lady working at the woman's clothing next to the Young Men's dept at 11:50a.m 8/1/12 was lazy. She immediately asked if she could help and as soon as I said I had a return, he NO SERVICE flag went up! She asked what I was returning and I said a men's jacket so she asked me to move along over to a men's dept cashier. I can purchase any item with the exception of jewelry or cosmetics at any "CUSTOMER SERVICE" counter yet, the same doesn't apply to returns? BS! I worked at Macy's Valley Fair during my college years and this wasn't even the procedure back then when each dept had their own registers. LAZY LAZY LAZY!! Where has MACY'S CUSTOMER SERVICE gone? Not the biggest selection, but the staff is amazingly helpful and it's not as crowded as the Modesto or Stockton stores. I go here first and then will hit up my other local Macy's. I've gone here numerous times and have been pleased each time. The only reason they don't get stars is due to the limited selection. They should expand the store or break it into a men's and women's store (like Modesto) to expand the products / selection. read more

Don't expect to find much from their ads, you're better off going to Macy's Stoneridge for those. The mens department is a joke. Why cant all macys carry the same inventory? I shouldnt have to drive to SF if i want luxury. I went looking for shoes for work. They had like 6 little table displays for Mens shoes, all were awful. I needed something however so i bought some CK driving shoes that are OK... There was one attendant, she was the only saving grace. She worked hard to juggle all of us in the dept by herself. Id write her name but her name tag was upside down, so no reason for the effort.
