Came in yesterday to get a graduation gift for my little bro, and the experience was great. Walked in, asked where the tie clips were and off to hunting I went. They asked if I needed assistance and the girls gave me the low down on which ones they would prefer to see their men wear (come on we know it's the lady's opinion that matters). I'm a tie clip amateur so I had to ask about the proper way to wear one, but the girls didn't really know. That's my only complaint, that they had girls working the men's section. But it wasn't a huge problem I just walked to a different department and got my questions answered there. Macy's customer service really depends on which department you're browsing in. I get prompt service when shopping for accessories/arm candy. I get fantastic service at the makeup/fragrance area. There are young and trendy artists that work near the makeup. It's been some time since I stepped into a Macy's. I saw that they now carry MAC and I felt that it was only appropriate I use all my Macy's gift cards [I hoarded throughout the years] on some quality makeup. In the men's department, my husband waited at one of the registers as a sales associate was just a few feet folding clothes. He saw us and didn't even walk up to us. He helped out another gentleman after we gave up and started looking at some clothes. When we saw that he was now at the register, we returned only to have him tell us to go to another register to be helped, "so you don't have to wait." Honestly, you spend most of your time at Macy's, (ANY department store, really), WAITING! The sales associate that later helped us was an older gentleman and was very kind. Macy's has terrific sales, but you really need to prep for it. They have coupons out before their big one-day sales, usually for an additional $10 off. Overall, I find Macy's to be a great department store to shop at. The mall is an overwhelming experience for some, (not to mention a money and soul-sucking experience), so having big department stores with everything under 1 roof helps ease the whole task of finding a new outfits/arm-candy/shoes. Terrible terrible customer service. Not so much in rude or annoying but lack of experience or knowledge of problem solving. This goes for their phone service and in store service. First stop outsourcing your CS department. Especially when it comes to billing inquiries. Number one rule is good communication between agent and customer. If the customer can't understand the agent then that agent needs to be moved to a none speaking job. Period. Secondly teach everyone the one correct way to do something. I talked to 5 people who all had their own way of attempting to solve my issue. If the person you are connecting me with has no clue or can not help me with the specific problem then don't be an idiot and pass me off to them. Third if you do have to pass me off to someone at least be nice enough to explain the issue to that person so I don't have to spend 15 minutes explaining the entire problem for the 5th time! Finally if the last person I talked to can solve the issue in less than 5 minutes obviously the last 4 people I talked to (including the UTC Store Manager) have no clue what to do and should not be working there in the first place. Or send them back for training. Macy's... seriously get your head out of your asses and get your CS team in gear. Or at least create a dedicated office where people can get issues resolved without having to deal with regular customer purchases. The customer service you have is nothing more than a cash register with employees who act as if they can help solve issues when in reality they can't. Also tell that manager when he says he is on his way down to actually show up as if he cares. He's the manager for christ sake! Act like you care or GTFO! read more

Large selection for clothes, jewelry, shoes... But, it's always hard for me to find clothes that fit me and look good. However, I do love their watch section which is large and cheaper in price. Macy's usually have coupons, so it may be wise to wait before you buy. I like this location because you have 3 parking lots surrounding the store. read more

Needs more workers during night hours. Lines get long and it takes forever for some people to check out. And I noticed there is a new Starbucks inside this Macy's. Super awesome ! But one of the workers made a comment cause I touched her drink. I just wanted to see what the name said on the cup. I don't know if she had a germ problem or something. I feel like they're always having a crazy everything-must-go clearance sale. not that i mind. i was able to pick up 2 more suits for less than the price of one. i got an additional 20% mark down from an already marked down price, just for asking ("so, is there anything more we can do with these prices?"). I basically snagged $1,000 (pre-tax price) worth of suit for $400 and change (post-tax price). basically, if you walk in knowing almost exactly what you want, you can probably spend some time in here digging it out and walking away with a steal. but if you're there to browse, this place may be a horrible and frustrating waste of time. read more

We opened an account and spent 1000.00 and didn't know that we could earn money cards back with a simple 25.00 contribution to make a wish. REALLY? Would have been a no brainer also asked to get receipt for boots being shipped discounted as there was a sale the day after I bought them. Was told had to bring my boots in when I got them. Defeats the purpose. We opened our account at 8:30 pm making it impossible to reap the rewards of getting an extra 20% off. Wouldn't give it to us 2 days later for another 300.00 +++ purchase. I am so disappointed with Macys lack of customer service, unless you are directly in front of the person. Don't bother calling and asking if they have something, you will get NOWHERE. I have attempted calling 9 times now, all to different departments, because once you ask someone to get you to the correct department, they place you on hold and never return, even the operator. Wasted an hour of my time, because I can multitask, but looks like I have to go there and find it myself. This is why Amazon is killing it. Yesterday, I purchased $100 Adidas sneakers for my husband. We had family pictures that day and I wanted him to have new shoes for our photos. When he went to put them on for the photos, the shoelace eyelet tore right through the other side. I went back to Macy's this morning to return the defective shoes. The Finish line employee with the beard wants to sit there and lecture me on how my husband is putting his shoes on incorrectly. He continues on- explaining how others have also broken the shoe but while in the store trying them on. (You think maybe it's the shoe? No? Okay) I told him we've never had problems with Nike and he gives me the biggest eye roll ever. "Nike's products are so cheaply made compared to Adidas...." Um. Okay? I received a christmas gift I needed to return that was purchased from Macy's. It had a return label on it with a bar code. I searched on Yelp to see if there would be any problem getting a gift card reflecting what the giver originally paid . I came across a long thread about how Macy's tried to screw people and only credit them with the sale amount etc. My experience was pleasant and profession and took just a few minutes. She scanned the bar code into the computer and quickly had all the purchase information in front of her. She issued a gift card and I was on my way. As long as you have a return label on your gift it appears the return will be nice and easy. read more

This review is mainly for Macys.com online. The store is OK if you want to wait in long lines and with sweaty people. I just had two back to back bad experiences with Macys.com that wasted so much of my time that I'm compelled to write a review. 1) Ordered two sheet sets online on sale - only one was shipped and it was the wrong color. Packing slip said quantity 2 and there was no way you could even fit 2 into the package. They also charged me for 2. Tried to call but there is nobody to talk to on the phone - it's just an automated phone tree with no option to talk to anyone. Used that contact us feature online and they promise 24 hr response - 3 days later nobody ever responded. Finally had to go to the store and talk to 4 different people and waste over an hour to have them finally call someone in the online department - they did refund for 2 and supposedly will be sending the color I want but with all of the wasted time, I might as well have bought a full price item elsewhere. 2) A friend wanted a Macy's gift card. I wanted it delivered by email. Went online and paid with paypal. Next day I get a call saying I have to call their fraud department with a special code. I call and, after 30 min on the phone, they say the order was cancelled because they couldn't get a hold of me on the first try - they can re-order but I'd have to do it online because I used paypal (how do I know it will work the 2nd time) - I offer to pay with credit card and they say ... sure, but we'll have to send you to another department and put you on hold again. Never again Macy's - I'd rather pay twice as much and get decent service. read more

Well let me start off After I Finish my Shake Shack Yummy Meal !! Then I decided To try and walk off the Calories and walk in to Macy's . So I went in and look around . Knowing I have been here before . Just Looking and One of there Associate was nice enough to help us out . And not ignore us !! Me and my wife were just strolling around the store and no one approach us and ask if we need help except this one associate name Gus . He works in the Fragrance Department . He took the time to explain to us what types of deals they had going and to show us what kind of specials Macy's had going !! I would say Good Customer Service To Mr Gus !! If you want more Customers Coming back to shop then Serve Good Service !! This is one of my Favorite Macy's to shop at because of Location and The parking at UTC Westfield is Expanding and you can Allways find a place to park . I would say Macy's is a Nice Department Store that Carries Lots of Different types of Clothes that fits your everyday Needs !! Also good selection of Dress Shirts and Ties !! I like coming here to just look at there Clearance Racks because you can save lots !! Never again. I only went there because I got a gift card for Christmas and I needed to use it. (obviously it was from somebody who doesn't know me very well ) Anyway...... A few weeks ago I purchased a fit bit at this location. It was a steal at 89.99 and when I got to the store, there was only one left. We waited a bit, a lady helped us and we were on our way. We went home and wrapped it and never thought to open the box to make sure the fitbit was in there. Come Christmas Eve, my sister opened her gift and the box was empty. Since it had been two weeks we weren't sure if Macy's would take us seriously. I went in there after work yesterday bracing myself for being told there was nothing they could do, but the manager refunded my money. I know she didn't believe me, because having worked retail my entire life before now, I wouldn't have either. Thank you so much to Macy's at UTC for doing that. I wanted to buy tennis shoes for my son, I decided to try Macy's. They have finish line selling there. I bought some shoes 45 dollars. 5 days after my son used them they were torn. I tried to return them bit the "boss" Mellie or Nelly as she calls herself said the shoes were used and she can't accept them back. I told her My son used them for 5 days, and I expected them to last longer. She said she doesn't know what my kid was doing with the shoes . And she said probablu Then she said the shoes were atheletic, I told her he used them for running, what else can he do right? So she said because I bought them on sale they are not supposed to be good shoes. I'm not trying to be cheap here but I think 45 dollar shows on sale its a normal price for kids shoes. At the end, I dont know how Macy's takes this vendors to the store. They don't take responsability for anything. Worst place ever. I worked at the Sunglass Hut section and it was the worst 3 months of my life. The staff was unorganized and rude. Macy's need a better security team because a lot of people steal but the security team focuses on employees stealing more than customers. Macy's doesn't care about their employees even if employees work for more than 8 hours! The staff is unreliable and once you have a day off, the manager keeps on asking you to come in! Seriously, one of the worst place to work at. The men at Macy's won't stop flirting with the girls and it almost feels like harassment. My time is worth more than $10 an hour. So glad I quit!! I was doing my Christmas shopping in the UTC mall on Dec. 22nd. I was looking for a bottle of perfume for my wife. After trying a couple of places to no avail I went to Macy's. As expected on the Saturday before Christmas the store was packed. Fortunately a friendly salesperson greeted me at the perfume counter. He looked the perfume up and saw they didn't have it in stock, but a store in LA had it and it could be shipped to my house. He said it would arrive within a couple of days after Christmas. December 27th has come and no perfume. I did go to their website which was printed on the receipt www.macys.com/orderstatus (which was incorrect) and the order was shipped on December 26th standard from Nashville,TN Ummmm I don't understand this? Why is it coming from Nashville if it is available in LA? I could of driven the two hours and picked it up myself. Instead, my package is probably stuck in the snow somewhere in the midwest. Thank you Macy's for one less present for my wife the day after Christmas, providing misleading information, and inefficient shipping. Had a great experience I'd like to share! My boyfriend and I realized we needed to get him a suit for a wedding 5 days away and our schedules were swamped so the only time we could do it was around 8pm on Monday (an hour before the store closed). It looked like everyone was tidying up their sections for the night so we tried to make it a quick stop in. We finally made our selection with the help of a sweet woman named Lynn. We were just walking out of the store around 8:45 when he realized he had to have a pair of shoes that we passed. Guess who was also working the shoe department.. Lynn! Although it was almost closing time, she was happy to help us again and gave us the sizes we needed. I shop a lot at Macys and I know what the deal is when I go there - it gets crazy, there can be long waits, and sometimes the associates behind the counters are not having it. I get it. I also don't normally leave bad reviews, but this time I had such a bad experience I had to write about it. I was looking for a gift in the womens section, and I found a cute evening wrap that I wanted to get, but in a different color and a different size. I couldn't find it so I asked someone about it, and she just glanced at it and quickly told me they don't have it. I asked her if she could at least check, and she raised her voice and repeated that they don't have it and started talking with serious attitude about how she's very busy and doesn't have time to go looking for it. She was very condescending while she spoke too, speaking with a harsh tone and then saying "hun" at the end as if to make up for it. Afterwards she angrily walked away as if I was annoying her. I have never dealt with anyone so rude in a department store before and I hope Macys will do a better job of training their employees in customer service. I think the name on her tag said Kim. Afterwards a kind associate helped me with the item, and after actually CHECKING to see if they have it or not ordered it for me. It was a beautiful gift. But I was very disappointed that I was treated so discourteously in order to get it. read more

In addition to the insane deal I got at Macy's one day sale (3 name brand suits for the price of 1), the customer service I received blew me away. Lynn, Todd, and the rest of the Macy's crew were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Lynn took the time to help me make my selections while also helping many other customers as well. I was very impressed by her ability to multi-task and remain cool under intense pressure. Because of the sale, the store was obviously a madhouse, but the Macy's staff really stepped it up and provided a first-rate customer experience, never missing a beat. This kind of personal touch and attention to customer service are extremely rare these days, in my experience, and I very much appreciate them. Went yesterday to Mac at Macy's to do my makeup. What a horrible experience. First of all the gave me this new girl that didn't know much what she was doing. I didn't want to be rude so I stay still and pretty much told her the whole time what to do. . Ugh! To make things worse, she could not put my fake eyelashes, so this tall lady(wish I knew her name)come and did it for her. She not only poke my eyes few time, but also when I asked her some questions like (will the white glue show...since was first time putting eyelashes, I saw her rolling her eyes many time. I'm so so dissatisfied, and wish a supervisor will read this review and take an action. I love Mac , but won't go back to Macys no more, neither will recommend to others. Oh, when I asked for sample for the eyes moisturizer,that was it .....she(the tall lady) was super rude and said that the didn't have anymore those little container to provided.. I've been here a lot, spent time in every section, and have enjoyed it. I have received great service and the lines never seem to be too long. Just today I returned a pair of pants that my husband had ripped all the tags off. I was anticipating some hassle, but there was no problem at all. None. I hate macys with passion. The people in the jrs dept dont know english and are a pain in the ass to get any help from them. The shoe department sucks, you can walk around with a shoe in your hand for like an hour before they offer you help and the rude lady at purse area is a bitch. The makeup ladies are too busy talking about the party they were at and the boys they were screwing to even help you, and when they do help you, they act like you were bugging them.
