THIS STORE SELLS STOLEN ITEMS! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!…read more I've been a loyal customer of Dechoes for years, but I can no longer remain silent about my frustrating experience. Back in 2023, my belongings, including my deceased grandmother's priceless shoes, were stolen by a young lady. I filed a police report, and the state picked up the case, but the situation has only gotten worse. Screenshots and pictures below show that this young lady entered Dechoes and sold my stolen items without any proper verification. It's clear that they have no policy or procedures in place to require identification for high-value items. Do they not care about selling stolen goods? I literally had to REBUY my own items back from this store. After speaking with the state attorney today, they informed me that, regrettably, justice will not be served due to this oversight. The state may have to drop the case because Dechoes does not mandate ID verification for sellers. I've lost over $10,000 in valued belongings, including items of significant sentimental value. I reached out to the owner today to address the issue in good faith. She claimed she tried everything to cooperate, but this is not enough. Dechoes has provided proof that the young lady made appointments to sell my items and even has an eyewitness who saw her do it. However, the state prosecutor informed me they can't use the eyewitness testimony due to legal technicalities. It's infuriating to know that Dechoes continues to operate without proper safeguards in place. At least pawn shops require ID for every item sold. I've urged them to implement a policy mandating sellers to show identification, which could prevent these issues in the future, but to no avail. Beware of Dechoes and their practices! Protect yourself--think twice before selling or buying from a store that clearly prioritizes sales over ethics! #BuyersBeware #Dechoes #StolenGoods

I swung by the Dechoes on Colonial yesterday to see what I had been missing out on, and I wasn't disappointed! They had a nice selection of women's clothes, shoes, accessories, as well as a men's section too. I found an absolutely incredible vintage Nike tshirt, that's truly a piece of history. From the prices I saw on everything, even nice name-brand pieces didn't seem to be priced too badly. One thing I would note is that if you hope to sell clothes at Dechoes (as they buy in addition to selling), that you'll have to make an appointment up to about two weeks in advance online. I didn't know when I walked in but definitely will be looking into selling my old styles in the future.

Who doesn't love an Avalon Exchange?! I have been to a few different locations across America (one…read moreof my favorites being in Pittsburgh), but this one comes in close to first place. Every time I come in I'm sure to explore every single item, ensuring I don't miss something. This last time in I was trying to pass time before meeting a friend for dinner. When I got there it was pretty busy for an evening right before close, but I was still able to score big! I found a lululemon align dress (typically $100-$150) for 18.50!!!! I mean that is a steal of a deal! One thing I love about Avalon, is they always seem to be overstaffed so anytime I come in I always have people to ask questions to or to help with anything!

Dear sellers, Please…read moreDON'T waste your time selling here. In my experience, you're better off taking your items to a Plato's Closet or a local boutique. They pay very little for quality, up-to-date, and even unused merchandise. On top of that, they are extremely strict about the size of the bag and the number of bags you can bring in you're limited to one bag of merchandise. There are also so many rules and restrictions that, in my opinion, the selling process becomes more frustrating than it's worth. I've been here many times as both a shopper and a seller, and I can honestly say the seller experience is by far the worse side of the business. Of course, you can try it for yourself, but consider this my warning before you spend your time sorting, packing, and bringing your items in. Your quality clothes may be worth more elsewhere.

I won't lie. Some of the prices for things are a little bit expensive. The store is almost always…read moresuper empty which I think is due to online shopping. I actually came here specifically for an Amazon return that I could not return to the UPS store. I totally forgot that they had a Sephora in here, but I made sure that I did not go in there because I would've left homeless.. we ended up getting a few things for my daughter and I picked up a little bar of chocolate just to make the specific amount in order to obtain a reward coupon. We ended up making it and then we left and as soon as we got to the car, we realized there was something else that we needed, and we could probably find it here. So lo and behold, we found ourselves right back inside the store making another purchase and trying to make the amount so we can get another reward coupon. I walked right by the Sephora area and started to get tempted, but I am very proud of myself because I have never had so much self-control in my life. I could literally feel it seeping out of my bones. It did not feel good but once I got outside I was so proud of myself and got a warm tingly feeling-no I didn't have to use the toilet.. Anyways I had a good experience, the staff were friendly and kind. They talked to me about rewards stuff and convinced me to apply for a credit card that I'll probably rarely use because I'm afraid of going back lol. The tingly feeling didn't last long enough to combat the feeling of the seeping from TRYING to have self control. We will see how it goes. I will eventually have to come back for something. I'll find an excuse!!

I have gotten wayyyy cuter items at ZARA and H&M for lesser costs than what this store is asking for their items. Even the clearance racks are still steep in prices. I am surprised this store lasted after COVID19 with the price tags this store offers for items you can get cheaper elsewhere. BTW the staff are not friendly when you walk in - pretty high nose staff. The caveat to this spot is they are limited in their offerings to petite sizes 4 and lower and it's off of Park Ave (parking is a nightmare). I have never experienced such appalling customer service as I did with Louise James…read more This so-called "boutique" clearly doesn't value potential customers. After trying a dress on, and looking at the dress in the mirror, the English lady running the store approached me and rudely dismissed me, outright saying the dress I was looking at "wasn't for me" and it "wasn't appropriate to try on the dress" when her associate literally opened the dressing room for me. Her tone was condescending, her attitude unprofessionally petty, and frankly, it felt like she went out of her way to be aggressively rude. Honestly, she did me a favor because the quality of the dress was garbage anyway--cheap fabric, poor stitching, and nowhere near worth the price she was charging. If she spent half as much time improving her merchandise as she does belittling potential customers, maybe she'd have a business worth supporting. Save yourself the insult and the waste of money--shop anywhere else.
