Lucky for me, that shop was Forema and they have not succumbed to the Park Avenue tax (which only exists in my head and not with the state or city) so there were affordable options! There are plenty of racks of clothes and gifts but what called to me was the jewelry. Each piece was unique and there was something for everyone. Though it leans pretty boho chic, I imagine even the preppiest of sorority girls (Rollins) would find something to fawn over. I ended up buying a few necklaces, each priced at under $20, and a few tiny rings. Though the necklaces aren't real gold or silver, I see similar designs at stores nearby (and online) for ridiculously inflated prices. One necklace I wore even into the shower eventually lost its gold sheen and turned a dark silver, but I actually dig the look and am still happy with it. Overall, I'm thankful for a place on the avenue that caters to a broader economic audience at least.

Upon entering the boutique I immediately noticed that there were no Prom dresses on site (oh no)!! It is a very pretty little boutique, that not only offers women's clothes, but also for kids and of course accessories. That's what I ended up getting, a nice new makeup bag that I needed, and some hair accessories. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

There was a Llama Poncho that was handmade in the '40s on the same rack as other items ranging from the 20s to the 80s, so cool to see history through clothing! It's a small shop, so it only needs one worker at a time. She did a good job engaging with everyone and answering any questions. The items are vintage and many are one of a kind, so expect boutique prices!

I could honestly spend hours browsing here, but I do need to be looking for something specific in order to have success. I love to shop here for shoes and clothing brands that I love at more affordable prices. Most recently I was looking for leather loafers for work and shorts for summer. I was able to find both! I got some very comfortable Cole Haan loafers and a couple pairs of athletic shorts/skorts, plus a pair of jean shorts. They had some really cute pajamas as well, but I used self control and did not purchase them. I also love to shop here for toddler shoes for my son. They have discounted Adidas, Converse, New Balance, etc. in his tiny size and they are just adorable.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Nordstrom Rack location today. While I was using the…read morerestroom, there was only one available stall because the other was out of service. Several customers became impatient, knocking loudly on my stall door, rattling the other stall door, stomping outside the stall, and creating an uncomfortable environment. I understand that the behavior of other customers is outside the store's control. However, what was disappointing was how the situation was handled by an employee. Instead of checking on me with professionalism or helping de-escalate the situation, the employee came into the restroom to tell me there was a line waiting, rolled her eyes, and made facial expressions that felt dismissive and inappropriate. Rather than making me feel safe or respected, I felt embarrassed and pressured while simply using the restroom. I later contacted customer service and spoke with an assistant manager because I felt the employee's behavior was unprofessional. I hope this feedback reaches corporate so employees are reminded to treat customers with respect and sensitivity, especially in situations involving privacy.

Parking is awesome at this place as I'm rarely 1-2 spots beyond the first one, and it's usually to leave a gap between my car and the other car that's there. They even have a cool overhang on the East side of the store so if it's raining, you can drop people off or pick them up. Once inside, the store is yours! The merchandise is kind of spread out like they don't have enough to fill the store properly, but I kind of like it in comparison of having clothes jammed into tight spots. There's rarely a line to check out and you can usually order something if they don't have your size (which is a big possibility). I usually end up here in the afternoon as I would probably be murdered here if I came at night. But in the daytime, I feel comfortable here.

I believe this is a discount Macy's. I would certainly hope so since it's located inside what I would call an abandoned mall with only a few stores left helping to keep the lights on. I came here specifically for a blue dress that I needed for an event and I really didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it especially since I was more than likely going to wear it one time. Well guess what? I found the blue dress and it only cost me $35. It was originally $119. It was perfect for the blue and white themed December to Remember event we had at the office. I got a lot of compliments on the dress which I paired with a faux fur white coat (also a budget purchase) and some chucks. I can't wear heels all day... don't judge me. So if you're looking for something nice but on a budget like me, check out this Macy's. You'd be surprised at what you can find. Happy shopping!
