If you like Macy's but hate people, then this store is for you. This place actually has life in comparison to the zombie wasteland of a mall in which it resides (I'm talking about you Orlando Fashion Square). And by Life, I mean you may see a handful of other people shopping here. Parking is awesome at this place as I'm rarely 1-2 spots beyond the first one, and it's usually to leave a gap between my car and the other car that's there. They even have a cool overhang on the East side of the store so if it's raining, you can drop people off or pick them up. Once inside, the store is yours! The merchandise is kind of spread out like they don't have enough to fill the store properly, but I kind of like it in comparison of having clothes jammed into tight spots. There's rarely a line to check out and you can usually order something if they don't have your size (which is a big possibility). I usually end up here in the afternoon as I would probably be murdered here if I came at night. But in the daytime, I feel comfortable here. read more

Do you have filet mignon taste but McDonald's budget? If you answered Yes then this Macy's is for you. This particular location has a ton of great finds with a fraction of the costs. I believe this is a discount Macy's. I would certainly hope so since it's located inside what I would call an abandoned mall with only a few stores left helping to keep the lights on. I came here specifically for a blue dress that I needed for an event and I really didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it especially since I was more than likely going to wear it one time. Well guess what? I found the blue dress and it only cost me $35. It was originally $119. It was perfect for the blue and white themed December to Remember event we had at the office. I got a lot of compliments on the dress which I paired with a faux fur white coat (also a budget purchase) and some chucks. I can't wear heels all day... don't judge me. I must say I was skeptical because most people really make me look scary, but everyone I ran into after Yari did my makeover was impressed! I love Macy's and right now they have a great promotion going on with star money rewards. I set up my makeover appointment last Saturday and went to the counter completely bare. Yari is an extremely talented makeup artist and consultant. She is also beautiful and charming. The store was busy for s summer Saturday the week after July 4! Though this location is significantly smaller than other locations, I find myself here often. This does have a lot to do with proximity to my home, but it is also like visiting an old friend and the familiarity of this location. Service has always been friendly, I cannot recall a single issue in all of my visits here, and they do have some quality brands. The manager of the men's department should be fired. And their manager. What a disaster of an area. I went before noon on Friday. I would expect at that time that the department would be clean and well organized. Nope! I know it's hard to keep the racks sorted well. But things were everywhere! Oh and the Levi's jeans looked like it was rummaged through on a Black Friday sale. The cashier areas were also just piled with clothes. I'm just going to assume they make little money and have little staff and just have no time or desire to have a well organized store. And yes it's in a dead mall. RIP Macy's. read more

This Macy's store used to be the jam. I realize the pandemic has impacted so, so, so many businesses, so to some extent I can forgive a less-than-excellent experience, but this store has gone down the drain in so many instances. First of all, the inventory is noticeably decreased. The floor actually looks quite empty, so it makes finding things you're looking for much for difficult (or even non-existent). But that's ok - I can always search for those items on Macys.com. The really, really big disappointment here is the service, and those folks working in the store. Recently, I went in to purchase an item and as I walked up to the cashwrap to purchase the item both employees BEHIND the counter walked away to take care of other things on the floor. I mean, I'm a relatively patient person, but I know they both saw me standing there, and left me waiting for over five minutes. I nearly just walked away and didn't make my purchase, but decided to stay until one person returned. They didn't even acknowledge the fact I was left standing there for said amount of time, and didn't even act like they wanted to be there. Look - I've worked retail many, many years in my life so I know it's not easy, but this Macy's experience was a major letdown. On top of all of that none of the employees I've encountered speak very good English which makes it difficult to hear and communicate through the layer of a mask. I've been a dedicated customer of Macy's for many years, hold one of their credit cards, but am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere in the future...at least to a different location. read more

A huge anchor location found at Fashion Square Mall on Colonial. This spot front faces out to Colonial, so it's easy enough to find. It has the normal giant retailer vibe, and is broken down into easier to shop sections. It's a bit awkward to go between said sections though, and you'll find some empty / half empty areas throughout, which lead one to believe that this location isn't getting fully restocked regularly. The staff is pretty nonchalant, and doesn't usually engage you when you walk by. There isn't too much foot traffic in general here, unless there is an event or something big going on. The busiest space in the whole store is the MAC counter, which has several people shopping it on the regular. Overall: B Like all things Fashion Square, it needs some upgrades / updates. read more

To whom this may concern: I went into your location in Orlando at the Fashion Square Mall. I visited the customer service department to pick up my purse that I ordered..I asked an associate to open the box to check my item before I left the store. The representative by name of Tara was very rude and didn't try to assist. I explained to her that I didn't get a receipt. She told me it should be in the box and it wasn't there. I asked her if I could have one, she went back and forth with me. I told her that I didn't want to go back forth with her, I only wanted my receipt for a return if I needed it. She was very rude and walked off and mumbled under her breath. I feel that this very unacceptable. Another young lady proceeded to help me after she walked off. read more

The only anchor location found at Fashion Square Mall. This store faces Colonial and is the largest store at the Fashion Square. As most Macy's it is large but sectioned into specific areas for what you want. The staff never asked if we needed anything so not very helpful. They have remodeled some areas but it still feels outdated. read more

This place is in am old decrepit mall and it's a Macy's that since I did use the ladies room I can mention still has pink toilets. That screams old Florida. 3 Stars for a tiny Macy's that lacks the exciting, happy feel of other Macy's and doesn't make up for it with attentive staff. I know, I know, those holiday displays and cheerful employees at other Macy's are all just ways to get you to stay and spend money- but I've come to expect it. Unfortunately, this Macy's is small, lacks the inviting and appealing ambiance of other ones, and is also understaffed. Not a great combination. I recently went in with my husband to get him a tie and dress shirts and though there were a few men working in the department, they carried on a conversation and completely ignored us (even as we checked out... Literally talking over our heads). It was bizarre and unfortunately wasn't the first time we've had a lackluster experience at this store. It's also very old and just not pleasant to shop. I know that Fashion Square is often pretty empty and honestly kind of sad, but as a large chain that carries some very nice brands you expect more. Not terrible. But also not great. They do have pretty good customer service as stated and that makes me feel good when I walk in here. However, one big pull to Macy's for me is that they carry MAC Cosmetics. Well this location doesn't have a MAC counter. Booooooo! I guess this mall does have a negative connotation because of the location and it's older but it's not as bad as people make it out. My car battery died in the parking lot, and I had no cell phone since the battery died on that as well. AAA was able to come out and replace the battery within a half hour. Thank you again. This Macy's is the closest to my house, but unfortunately it's one of the lesser stores. The store is not that nice looking and has a lot of sections that are not very well organized. It's also hard to find what you're looking for unless you go here frequently. The staff is probably the worst thing about this store though. It's hard to find someone available to check out, and when you do they're not very friendly. Now, on to the good things about this store, they have a lot of clearance that is fun to go through. I especially like the men's clearance, which for a long time had nice items from Tommy Bahama and other name brands. I haven't seen as much from the name brands there lately, though. I also really like the clearance, or "Last Act" items in the children's section. They have a lot of items from Carter's and if it's on sale or on clearance the prices are pretty good. This store has a Motherhood Maternity sub-store located upstairs next to / within the children's clothing. The prices in this section are not good at all, but at least they have it. I actually found better prices for the same items on the Motherhood Maternity website with free shipping. My other beef about the maternity section here is that, instead of being located downstairs with the rest of the women's clothing, it's located upstairs in the children's department. The closest fitting room is the children's fitting room. That is silly and I can't understand why a store would want me to try on women's clothes in a children's fitting room. I do like in general the styles offered by Macy's and I will return here because I enjoy the sales and the clearance, however I think it needs improvement. read more

I love Macy's. I love the convenience of this store on Colonial Drive. However, the store desperately needs an update. It has a musty smell and is just not inviting. It also is very hard to find someone working at the register. You either have to stand in line or search for someone. Today I went Christmas shopping and shopping for myself, as the prices were just as good as what you would find on Black Friday. I ended up in the Men's Department and stood in line for several minutes, as the customer in front of me was being difficult. There was another sales person working in the department, but she never bothered to come over and ask if she could help. Once I finally got waited on, the sales person apologized for me having to wait. She was extremely friendly. This store definitely needs some work. read more

I was buying a swimsuit shirt that is supposed to be an additional 30% off, but he did not believe me. I told him to look and see it's a swim shirt and the sign above it but he simply said no. I've always been a fan of Macy's. When I was younger, I thought that Macy's was too expensive, so I never went inside and only glanced at the store displays. It was only when I was in graduate school that I learned that even though Macy's carries high end brands, they also carry good quality, affordable brands and items as well. During this most recent visit, not only was Macy's having a special Sunday sale, but my Yelp app alerted me to additional coupons. I was treating my mom to a shopping spree for her birthday and we were on the hunt for skinny jeans. Not only did she find the perfect pair of jeans, but she also found a couple of blouses that she liked as well and our entire purchase was a fraction of the original price thanks to all the coupons and sales. I'm already planning my next trip to Macy's - this time I'll be shopping for a dress for the upcoming holidays! read more

I'm completely disgusted with the service received from this company. I spent over $6,000 with these people and received poor customer service. I ordered a dining room table with five white chairs. Each time the chairs were delivered with oily black dirt stains. The chairs were exchanged three times and the same problem each time. I've taken time off work to retrieve these exchanges, and Rooms To Go failed each time. Not to mention, multiple deliveries which puts my family at risk of contracting covid. I called this location multiple times and was directed to the call center. What are the managers paid for? I've always done business with American Signature and decided to try Rooms To Go. Boy, that was the worst decision. I haven't been offered any compensation for my time or anything. I can't even get a manager to address my issues. It's common sense, the chairs are WHITE!! Which means, you should be extra cautious with assembly. Wear gloves and wrap them properly. Why sell white merchandise if you can't deliver without stains? I am still requesting a refund for the $334 I spent on the extended warranty for the Radley Fabric Sofa purchased at Macys. Do not buy the worry no more extended protection program! It all started when we were looking at the sofa, and the salesperson told us that any stains would be covered by the warranty. Spills, pet stains, anything ! We were sold...a year and a half later we requested your services. Well we were told to use the cleaning kit ...Why ? Then we scheduled an appointment to clean, and Omar came out and talked me into requesting a replacement of fabric from Macys. They refused!!! Then we scheduled Omar again and he refused to clean the stains. His response was ok "I'll clean it, and be right back", he then went to his truck and left? I'm wondering why, the worst customer experience I've ever experienced. I'm not really a department store fan, but this place is ok. My husband received a bunch of gift cards here, so I looked around at things I can waste the money on. I actually found a dress and some jeans at a decent sale price. It's disappointing that they don't have a garden or appliance department like the other major department stores, but at least they have clothes, shoes, housewares, etc. It's also a bonus that parking is very simple and close to the entrance (especially compared to other malls in Central Florida). read more

MAKE-UP Review: Love the folks at Lancôme, they are pleasant, educated in their product and are helpful. If you need makeup consultation and cleansing, they will explain things to you. They will not pressure sell you, which I appreciate. Note, this Macy's does not have Mac products. I originally was coming into this store for Mac but the Lancôme team won my service that day since I was looking for one thing and they had what I needed generally speaking. SHOES Review: This store has a nice selection; however, I've visited other Macy stores where the selection is more plentiful. Due to the cooler weather, I stopped in today to get a sweater. I found something nice quickly that was also on sale. While waiting to check out my son was talking to me about my birthday which is in a few days. When it was my turn to check out, the cashier rang up an additional 30% off plus the 25% off and said it was because she heard it was my birthday. What a pleasant surprise! Poor experience. The ladies who are working in the michael kors shoes section, was annoying my mom. My mom was shopping there on Saturday, she wanted to check out for 4 pairs of sandals and the ladies (at least 2 of them) was try to recommend my mom to pay $25 more for the offer something. My mom can't speak English, but they just keep going and explain the offer for her. That situation was unprofessional at all and waste other people time. I come here from time to time to shop. They have some great deals on sale items. The store does not have the ultimate in selection, so that could be an issue. They do have very good customer service, and the location is very convenient for me. I am usually looking for things like jeans and casual wear, and can find what I want. This store used to be burdines. Then Macys bought it. Macy's is a good store with a wide variety of quality products. However Macy makes their workers compete for commission. So this Macys is continuously understaffed. Mainly the shoe department in the women's section. I waited a half an hour just to fit on shoes this happens every time you go to this Macy's. There are only two people for 45 women and it takes two to three hours to purchase shoes. This store is the most understaffed in the Florida area. Maybe in the whole world. So I just put my shoes down and went back to work with my broken shoes until I could go to a different store or the outlet mall. read more

This store is okay. There are several times when I go and there isnt any cashiers at any of the registers; one time I had to walk upstairs just to check out. Downstairs they have all the clothing for women and men. They also sell shoes, jewlery, perfume/colognes, makeup and glasses. Upstairs is the kids section with all of the home decoration items including kitchenware, room furniture and etc. From personal experience, the mens clothes are neatly displayed and have a wide selection of different designers as well. read more
