Was recommended to check out Dechoes by one of my friends, because they thought it would be right up my alley. They were 100% right! I swung by the Dechoes on Colonial yesterday to see what I had been missing out on, and I wasn't disappointed! They had a nice selection of women's clothes, shoes, accessories, as well as a men's section too. I found an absolutely incredible vintage Nike tshirt, that's truly a piece of history. From the prices I saw on everything, even nice name-brand pieces didn't seem to be priced too badly. One thing I would note is that if you hope to sell clothes at Dechoes (as they buy in addition to selling), that you'll have to make an appointment up to about two weeks in advance online. I didn't know when I walked in but definitely will be looking into selling my old styles in the future. read more

The extremely rude and condescending individual who handled my sale, (sadly, I believe this may be the owner or the manager, black hair, fair complexion), was about as unprofessional as a person can get! She clearly had no idea of designers or high end fashion and behaved as if the entire transaction and job was beneath her. She did not just do this to me but another customer that was there, she treats the customers as if they are all stupid. I was completely shocked at her behavior! 4 Stars for a great local "thrift" shop that is beautifully curated, so you can find statement pieces easily and look totally hip with just one shopping trip. Ok, so I mentioned this spot is highly curated. That means the prices will be quite a bit higher than the Goodwill, but you won't have to sift through dirty oversized Hawaiian shirts to find that special gem. They've done the work for you and saved you hours of potentially fruitless thrifting, so that is worth the price. Additionally, this means they won't take just anything. With limited space in the shop, they need to be picky, and that's what we love as customers, but often irks people wanting to sell them their clothes. We can't have it both ways, people! ;) I truly believe that if I went in to this Dechoes (which is dangerously close to my house) and had one of the uber chic staff members curate a wardrobe for me I'd be the hippest chick in town. AND, I would have pieces that no one else in the area has (you know you're like me and shed a tear every time you find something cute to wear at Target and then see EVERY OTHER WOMAN IN TOWN wearing it...). This place has tanked since my last few visits. Quality of items in store in comparison to other near by places has gone down significantly and prices on high end items are not as competitive either (i.e. prices too high for the brand/quality). Also I HIGHLY recommend you don't sell here. I feel bad for people who bring in high end stuff and then get offered 10% or less of the original purchase price (even if barely worn) for their items. They take and offer very little. Many items get passed that you may try to sell that are unworn too which is unfortunate because as a buyer, I would appreciate an unworn piece over an overly worn hot topic synthetic dress...like make it make sense. (Btw no shade towards hot topic, but when you compare the condition of what they'll purchase to unworn pieces is just a dumb missed opportunity) read more

I have always passed by this store many times and recently I ventured in to try to sell my Authentic Coach bags. The store is small but stocked with vintage to trendy pieces and also Upscale pieces such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Etc .. The "authentic" pieces are inside a glass window shelf where the cashiers stand. The non authentic items (high end luxury) - are placed all over the store. The staff here are nice and dressed punk rockish type. This store gave me about the same buying price as Plato's Closet however they store credit is Higher. I opted the cash value however I decided to come back next time as I rethink the decision of selling all my bags for about $200 (9 pcs of authentic coach items - brand new with tags) - the buyer in which I assume was the owner was nice - She offered me water or lemonade from a styrofoam cup as she looked through my brought in items - she then quoted me the $200 cash or $360 store credit option. The items here are def decent. I was eyeing a Louis Vuitton Bag priced at $699 but I was debating if I really needed it - The employee states the bag has caught many customers - but it hasnt been sold as yet. I also saw a pair if YSL sandal heels for $99! I would def come back here every 2 weeks perhaps to see restocked new items coming in - But so far I hear some items that are posted on instagram - Those items sell out fast they do nor hold items! Layaway service is avail with 25% down and 2 months to pay. That service is useable for those high end luxury items! read more

This is a higher end resale shop. If you are looking for designer (and some non designer) duds this is a good place to find it. I love the fact that they do have some GREAT designer accessories. We found a Burberry bag that is such a statement piece at a decent discount. This is after looking at all the new designer resale apps, they had the best price. read more

To me, the selection is greater for handbags compared to the other location however, I prefer the clothes at the other location because it's more modern versus vintage. Although, I had a 1920s Gatsby party to attend and I found a fringe dress, menswear peep toe heels, and jewelry. The staff there is always so sweet to offer water or lend a hand. You will always find an LV bag and among other designer brands. Don't forget to search high and low above the racks to be sure you are not missing out on anything. I had a great time today shopping considering this was my first time shopping at dechoes. They had a deal going on which was 15 to fill up a bag of clothing. They assigned you a number which was very organized in the order to go shopping. If you are into vintage clothing and unique items this is your place. I was able to get anything from beautiful dresses vintage unique accessories and expensive hair products all for the price of 15 dollars. Definitely one of the best thrift stores in Orlando. They sell quality items from Hanes graphic t shirts to Gucci shoes. The store is nice and clean which is a plus for thrift stores. I've have always enjoyed going into Dechoes and shopping it's a wonderful place to find cool vintage or gently used high end items . When I moved away from the area a few years ago I would make special trips just to come in and shop. I have always found it to be a warm and inviting place .BUT this recent trip will defiantly be my last. The employees could not have been more uninviting , it seemed that I was the only customer who was not acknowledged . I don't know what going on here but I felt so uncomfortable that I put the items that I wanted to purchase back in their spot and immediately left the store. I love this store! Everyone is always so friendly and attentive when you walk in. Not only is the staff great, but so is the merchandise they have. I brought in six bags of clothing, all items just a couple of years old in good condition, some with tags, several brands they claim to "love," and some boutique items, and they didn't buy a single thing. I have been a fan of Dechoes for a long time (their Instagram is the best for online window shopping), however I really haven't shopped there in a long time. I need to change that. While getting ready for a garage sale I found a bunch of my grandmother's old costume jewelry. Right away I knew it was too good to go on a garage sale, and I thought to take it to Dechoes, since they specialize in vintage stuff. I called and made an appointment. To get the time and location I wanted I had to book a few days in advance, which was fine with me. When I went in I was directed to the counter at the back of the shop where they price the merchandise. Since I had a lot of jewelry it took close to twenty minutes for the employee to go through. During that time we browsed the store, which is super awesome. When she was done she told us what they would offer for the pieces they wanted (they took a little over half of what I had). It works out to half the resale value if you take store credit, and a bit less if you take cash. We went with cash since we are doing our sale for a fundraiser, but the store credit is a much better deal. So, selling was awesome. I'm really happy with the experience, and I feel the price they gave me was very fair. As for the rest of the store... If you haven't been, you need to go. They have a wonderful assortment of vintage and high end items. They really do a good job of picking items to sell. Everything is super cool. Of course, you'll have to search, but it's worth it. read more

The stock here usually includes a good collection of trendy mall brands, vintage apparel, a smattering of hipster duds and all the accoutrements you could possibly need for any of the aforementioned, including hats, shoes, bags, and jewelry. There is absolutely no telling what you will find in a given trip, whether it's 90s-flashback Bongo shorts, 5" Louboutin heels or a wall clock built into a wooden slab-carving of Jesus. Yes, those are all things I saw on a recent visit. Floor space is about 80% women's/20% men's, and while this store is smaller than its College Park Dechoes counterpart it's about 150% of the size of the former space they occupied in this same strip-mall. Staff is always super-friendly and helpful. I've both bought and sold items here, and have been happy with both processes. Tip: if you want to sell, make an appointment! It seems like half the time when I'm there, someone walks in randomly looking to sell a bag of stuff and has to be turned away because the store is booked or there's no buyer on hand. read more

This place has some great stuff. From homemade flour sack shirts to bad 80's gothic nightmare prom dresses. You can find some pretty nice Coach stuff and some really cool hats. I tried on a 70's style bright orange polyester pant suit that was just ... well let's just say I didn't buy it. But I still loved it. The staff is super friendly and there's always some interesting tunes playing. If you're looking for some vintage stuff or a neat-o one of a kind item that someone's mom probably made this is definitely the place to go. So, I have been going to Dechoes since I moved here in 2009 but as of late, I am not as much of a fan as I used to be. Don't get me wrong, the customer service is great. The clothes not so much. Every time I go in, most of the clothing is left overs of fashions that I wouldn't see on most people. They are so picky when they pick their clothes but almost none of it is that great. Let me lay some knowledge on you. You can get legitimate amazing high-end designer fashion at a not-so-designer cost. I'm talking hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars less. And some really cool and unique fashion. I would equate Dechoes to a way cooler version of Plato's Closet. People sell their gently used clothes so you can go on a shopping spree on the cheap. But there are several things I love about Dechoes that set it apart from other consignment shops, in my opinion. 1. The styles. Dechoes is a place to find the quirky and unique. You won't find any American Eagle or Abercrombie & Fitch up in this joint. A lot of vintage and retro-looking items, in addition to unique modern looks. If you're looking to make a statement with your clothing, Dechoes is your consignment shop of choice. It is worth noting, though, that some days it's hit and miss. But there are new things coming in regularly. So if you don't find anything you like the first time around, be sure to go back! 2. The prices. Like I said above, you can get designer fashion for a fraction of the price. And you can get non-designer style for mere dollars. Seriously, I've purchase and entire new awesome outfit for less than $10 before. Choice! 3. The staff. They're awesome. Super chill. I can't say the same for other consignment shops I've been to. *cough* Plato's Closet *cough* Real talk, though, the staff at Plato's closet was hard-core judge-y and rude towards me when I went there a few years ago to sell some close. I wasn't preppy princess enough, apparently, because I wasn't presenting them with pristine Hollister clothing. Barf. In serious contrast, the Dechoes staff are super nice and judge-free. Because they're quirky too! I also love that they give yo a nice greeting when you walk in, but they don't hound and hassle you as you're browsing. They have the most incredible buys! You can dress in designer clothes for a fraction of what it would cost new. On top of that, it is so much fun to browse the shop. They don't have trash like most vintage stores. Top quality resale stuff and the staff is always so nice. Although they carry a lot of todays styles, it is still like a walk back in time to see the vintage decor and clothing. Dechoes is an amazing vintage/resale shop here in Orlando with three locations for which you to choose from. Each location can very in selection so if you ever have a pretty open Saturday I would suggest hitting up all three. Make an appointment first to have one of their experienced buyers sift through a few of your older things and see if they offer you any store credit or cold hard cash for your things. The Colonial and Bumby location is a little hard to find and get to unless you have been there once or twice. right next to the Win Dixie on Bumby, Dechoes is slightly tucked away and their selection is a little limited in comparison to the other two. It's my favorite location to sell at because it's rarely packed and its a pretty quick trip. read more

This location is pretty similar to the one on Edgewater Dr. (that's the one I go to the most since it's within walking distance of my house), though perhaps I favor the one closer to me not because of the convenience but because of the selection. I'd guess about 85-90% of everything I've bought from this chain has been purchased at the Edgewater Dr. location simply because it seems to have a better selection. I did see a lot of stuff I wanted at the Colonial Dr. location when I stopped in today, though, but since I eat too much I couldn't fit into a few shirts. (Ugh. I need to go on a diet. Damn you, food trucks!) The Colonial Dr. Dechoes has a nice selection and the prices are just as they are at the Edgewater Dr. store, though it's just my opinion that the latter has a better selection, at least as far as stuff for men goes. The staff at the Colonial Dr. store is very friendly. I purchased only one t-shirt here today and it came to a little more than $5 after tax. She let me take a few flyers for Wally's that advertise you can get one free drink/day with the flyer, so I took a couple. I thought she might've only let me take one, but I took 2. There only were 3, so I left the last one for whoever's lucky enough to spot it on the counter ... and also brave enough to go to Wally's! Anyway, back to my review of Dechoes - yes, I recommend going here and checking out the inventory. You're likely to find at least a few items of interest either at this location or at the Edgewater Dr. one.
