I was at the Macy's iMAC Cosmetics's in Canoga Park. I was looking to find someone to help me with my make up. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. I saw MAC and I asked this beautiful lady Kaylyn, I approached her and asked if she can help me with doing my make up. I wanted a Smokey eye look since the wedding we're going to is in the evening time. Thankfully she had time to do my make up. Honestly she did such an amazing job with the look I wanted and nailed it. I have an appointment with beautiful Alyssa tomorrow morning at 10:45am and I'm super excited to get a fill make up done on me. They were both so sweet and kind and make sure I felt beautiful. She was incredibly helpful with all sales deals available, and also provided me with excellent references for the best mattress and best bed frame available. She was constantly in contact with me about delivery dates and when I contacted her about price matching? She handled it right over the phone, no fuss whatsoever! Today I came here to return the shoes and polo shirt that I ordered on line at the customer service the lady their is so rude I just asked if she can find how much is my balance on my credit Macy card I need the total and she said, do the math and she give me an attitude, you find out how much is it ? I could not let this experience go by. The dressing rooms have not been open to try things on since Covid. Today they were. It's been a whole year to basically clean, get things up to par, paint if you need too. Not the case. I go in with at least 15 items to try on. The employees are literally acting scared to touch items that are from the floor of the store they work in and have to touch everyday. I'm told 6 items. Cool. But then they can't exchange the items for you, you (the customer) has to keep coming out the dressing room to exchange items needed to try on. The rack they want you to put unwanted items on is way outside the dressing room location. At that point I had to ask "Who works here, me or you"?!? The dressing rooms are FILTHY!!! Old bloody bandage some one left looks like Last year March 2020. The walls are stained and need to be painted. The Mirrors are dusty and you can't even see what your trying on. I spent $350 in Macy's. I want to at least feel like I'm appreciated as a customer and card holder. Addressed it to employee Dannik he looked bewildered and unbothered. Addressed it to Supervisor David. He didn't apologize. He just said Thank You. SMH. Then another employee with braids, kept staring at me at the register. Because she seen me addressing to the supervisor the issue. Again she did nothing either to help solve the issue. But kept staring at me. Then when I looked at her looked away. I'm so irritated with the experience today. It was all of horrible! I can't say I will be back. I'm thinking should I even keep the stuff I bought. NOT PLEASED. These fucks deserve negative 1000 stars. Purchased a sofa recliner here 2 years ago. I have a 5 year guarantee. The recliner stayed in the reclining position after 2 years. I called the company who handles these problems and they tell me to call Macy's customer service. I called customer service. They told me it will take 4 weeks before we can send an inspector out. So here I'm waiting with a reclined recliner for 4 weeks. Technician comes out and looks at the problem. I also told him the leather on the headrest in badly discolored as well. I don't use hair products in my hair because I'm a dude with relatively short hair. He tells me Macys will call me. Don't hear jack from these Dufeses. I call customer service. The lady there has a Philippine accent which I don't have a problem with. .She kept me on the phone for 30 minutes and kept putting me on hold. I explained the problem to her. Then I became really pissed but laughed at the same time. These fucks at Macys outsource customer service to people working from home. Every other minute talking to this woman I heard a rooster crowing in the background. WTF What's this world coming to. Finally she says she will have to order the part. The part takes 4-6 friggin' weeks to come. They ship it to your house. Then I have to call the customer service back to set up another technician appointment. I loathe and despise shopping at a department store. I avoid it like the plague. My recent shopping experience at this Macy's location just reaffirmed why that's the case for me. First off, I've been here several times since childhood. This place hasn't changed. It's busy, it's overcrowded, and there aren't nearly enough sales associates to handle all of the people who come in and out during holiday rushes. Everything is in a disarray more often than not. You'll end up digging in piles of crumbled up clothing, just trying to find something in your size. You might run into six kinds of shirts all stacked up in the same area. The fitting rooms aren't always cleaned out as well as they should be. There's quite a few of them, though, and I don't recall ever having to wait for one to open up. The worst part of shopping at a department store, though, is waiting to pay. There are a number of registers, and yet every one has 5-10 people waiting. I waited in line for 15 minutes recently, all because the sales associate was having a pleasant, casual conversation with a customer. She could see the line building up behind me, but she carried on with her chat well after the customer was already taken care of. Sorry, but that's just annoying. No sense of urgency. No apology for the wait, too. You know where that never happens? Macy's dot com. I'll revert to shopping online and avoiding the hassle of a department store. read more

I went to Estée Lauder with my empty jar of cream and had to wait 29 min while the Hispanic girl chatted and laughed with her girlfriend.I got fed up and politely asked if someone could help us. A sales associate actually YELLED at me while I was waiting to be helped at your jewelry department. Yes, you read that correctly. I approached a female associate, who was going through a book, that told me she couldn't help me and to go on the other side of the counter. Which I did. There were a few customers there, one being checked out at the POS station. No big deal. Another customer was standing a few feet back from the counter. At this point there were a few associates bouncing between customers and counters. I stepped up to the counter to look at the merchandise, and still not knowing who was with who or next. But had seen something in the jewelry case that caught my eye. As I'm looking at the item, the female sales associate yelled at me, "You are not next! You need to wait your turn! That woman has been waiting a while!" I was absolutely stunned and embarrassed. I had done nothing wrong, I hadn't spoken up or knowingly cut in. The customer she had been working with, looked stunned, looked at me, made eye contact, both confused. The proper way to handle this? "I will be with your shortly, I have one customer ahead of you." That is polite and gets the exact information across, without yelling or making anyone feel bad. I left, in near tears. I had simply wanted to get sized for a ring for the holidays, which would have been a gift from my partner. But to be treated like that? Unacceptable. read more

However, I had such full service fantastic experience I needed to give kudos to Kamil! He works in the home decor or home good Deparment for the Macy's Northridge fashion center store. This review is solely on my experience with Diana in the shoe department. Every time I shop here for shoes it is really difficult to get anyone to help me. In fact during my same visit a guy working there looked the other way when we made eye contact. He didn't want me asking him questions maybe because he was busy. Without really looking for anyone else to help me Diana approached me and asked if I needed any help. She was determined to help me find the right shoes for a wedding i was attending. I was pleasantly surprised that she stayed with me until I made me purchase. She was kind, attentive and I never felt rushed despite them being busy. Overall for the shoe department I would give them a three. Five stars for the overall store. There are plenty of options between brands, women and men all sizes, watches, purses and home selections. They take care of their customers with great discounts and reward program. The one thing I find odd is that their men and furniture department is on the other side of the mall. read more

Did you know that a gift card purchased from a store can already be compromised, allowing a thief to spend your balance without your knowing? WHAT HAPPENED: -------------------------------- Last June, the wife and I received a gift that we returned to the Northridge Macy's for store credit. The gift amount of over $150 was loaded onto a Macy's gift card. Then at Christmas time, we received a shocking "present" when we tried to use our gift card at the Sherman Oaks Macy's and were told it had a zero balance! After some helpful investigation by Sherman Oaks Macy's, we found that our gift card was used in October at the Macy's in Montebello, a city we'd never even heard of. But how could this have happened when the gift card never left our possession? Clearly, something fraudulent occurred. THE SCAM: -------------------------------- So I did some research online and found that this type of gift card fraud is getting more common. And as recently uncovered, there's a whole crime ring that's been targeting Macy's: http://www.dailynews.com/general-news/20130621/norwalk-man-connected-to-macys-gift-card-fraud-arrested-in-las-vegas One method I read about involves the thief cloning a gift card. Macy's is ripe for this scam because they leave their gift cards on top of counters, often unsupervised, open for anybody to grab. A manager helped me, and after 45 minutes of him making calls and taking my information, he was able to hand me a replacement card with the original balance. PROTECT YOURSELF: -------------------------------- I asked the manager if my new card was secure, and he replied that there should be no problem with it since it was taken from a new box in the back of the store. Implicitly, he was admitting to the fact that the cards left wide open on the counter are insecure. So if Macy's and other stores aren't going to protect your cards, how can you protect yourself? First, understand that though this type of fraud is very rare, it still does happen. Consider not buying gift cards and instead giving cash. If you still must buy a gift card, try to buy one that's locked behind a window or is in large packaging, which is harder for a thief to have snuck out of the store. And if you're the recipient of a gift card? Look for signs of physical tampering, try to use your balance quickly, and check your balance frequently for signs of fraudulent use. And keep all receipts, especially the initial one that shows how much money was loaded onto the card. If it wasn't given to you, ask for it. Retailers love gift cards because they generate instant revenue and bring shoppers into the store. Retailers don't address the dark side of the gift card industry for fear that people will stop buying them. But if a store fails to reasonably protect consumers from gift card fraud, maybe it's time to rethink whether those gift cards make sense to buy. read more

Don't do curbside pickup with Macy's Northridge... I used the Macy's app, let them know I was on my way. It acknowledged that. Getting into that 2 story ramp was a nightmare to get to Macy's, most entrances are blocked off and you have to circle around the block and make a lot of twists and turns to find it. I get to Macy's, park in the pickup spot and tell the app i'm here. It confirms my order will be out soon. 15 mins later, nothing. I call the number posted on the sign out in front and nobody answers, nobody. I go inside and there is a line a mile long. I ask the lady at the front in between customers to call curbside so I can pick up an order that is ready. Wait 10 more mins, nothing. I ask the people in line and they said 1 person is working the department and the line wasn't moving. What's the purpose of curbside pickup to stay safe for elderly relatives, if stores like Macy's can't even provide the curbside pickup when you use their app and they tell you it's ready. read more

Who greeted me with a smile and asked if I was looking for anything in particular she helped me pick out what I was looking for. Therefore, she directed me where to go and that I was going to be helped at the register once I was done. I usually tend to shop online since COVID and coming into the store being greeted and Precious being very attentive really exceeded my expectations of how all staff members should be. I filed a fraud and they sent me new card to use then after a week they started to call everyday! The funny point was that they made me to pay for the fraud charges while I was not even in town on the time and date that the fraud have happened.(I had my ticket as a proof) but they said its not necessary for me to prove it as they are doing their own investigations(don't know based on what)!!!!! Watch out for the middle middle aged woman in men's cologne! She's as rude as it gets with a bad attitude! We even emailed the home office and they never responded. We went there after our large over $150.00 6oz Dior Men's Sauvage Eau de Toilette Spray arrived with no small samplers which they have sent in the past. We wanted the samples for a trip we were going on. We asked a young lady if we could get samples or buy a small travel size. She calls over this middle aged Hispanic woman with shoulder length wavy dark brown hair who immediately pulls out a 3oz bottle and says "The is the smallest they make!". My girlfriend points out that they were selling a promotional gift set that clearly has a very small travel size. This rude person says "you either buy this (The one she put on the counter) or nothing". I told her that we had bought the 6oz and just wanted samples if possible and this bitch basically called me a liar right in from of my girl and her other employee saying "your wrong! This bottle if the biggest!". WTF? REALLY? We've gotten quite the reactions on social media about. Guess Macy's promotes this type of behavior because we're not the only ones that has had a problem with the men's cologne section. read more
