I am incredibly impressed with this Park Meadow's Macys store. They have a free Personal Shopper program that you can scheudle a time for help finding anything in the store (men & women's clothes, shoes, home decor). My Mom passed away the day before. I needed 3 black dresses for the funeral for my family. I didn't have an appointment, but due to a cancelation, Sally was able to help. We wanted items we could use for other occasions. We found perfect dresses, undergarments, & shoes. Sally had me try on something I would have never picked. I thought she was crazy but it was beautiful. It was a winning choice, on a very difficult day. I was pleasantly surprised on the price. 3 dresses, top for under the dress, undershirt, 3 nylons, & 1 pair of shoes was only $198. Wow! Sally went above and beyond. Because of this experience, I plan to buy more at Macy's and less at Kohls/Amazon. With these behemoth companies taking over, this personal way to shop is the future of brick and mortar companies. Keep it up! Also, thanks for keeping the Thanksgiving Day parade during covid! Don't usually go to the mall anymore after years of working in retail. But I do like to look at the holiday decorations and feel the energy in the mall from people shopping for gifts. Came to purchase my mother's gift at the cosmetics counter. The associate at the Estée Lauder counter was helpful and personable. We chatted and discussed options and I ended up with the holiday special and foundation. I'm sure my mother will like the items. I walked around to look at men's clothing and also shoes. I have a shoe weakness and some boots on final call caught my eye but I couldn't justify them to myself. Prices are comparable to other department stores. read more

Wow! I really should have read the reviews before purchasing on line. Well I'd previously purchased online during the holidays. And there was no problems then I walked in waited in line and picked it up. This time I ordered online because of the Convenience of location to my work. I purchased a dress online and planned on picking it up. Received multiple emails to come pick it up. They even gave me the last day to pick it up. Which according to my calculations. If I don't pick it up it would be refunded back to my card. Well me being a stickler. I check my account and guess what? They took it out and have no refunded my money. I called customer service to speak to someone. And the gentleman reassured me that they refunding on Wednesday. And I'll have the money back by next week. For now one star until I see if my refund was processed or perhaps I need to dispute the charge read more

As other reviewers have stated that this store is a mess. There was a pile of clothing by the changing rooms and just a general mess throughout the whole store. Customer service was little to not existent. Clothing on the racks looked like they were left over from 30 years ago and the styles were outdated. So disappointed. The make up counter employees act so disinterested in helping me. It was a slow day there and there were no testers that actually had any product in them they were all empty. I wanted to test one to see if I would like it before I bought it. They acted like I was bothering and troubling them as the employees all stood in a circle chatting and gossiping I overheard. I was looking for some holiday wear today, to attend a holiday party. After rummaging through my clothes, I found nothing exciting or nothing new that would seem fresh or and flair. Then it finally occurred to me to go to Macy's . Macy's offer of variety and styles. They have great pricing often have amazing deals and coupons during this time and above all amazing customer service and staff that can help you go around and help you as a professional shopper to find the perfect outfit that you imagined in your head . Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I left with the perfect outfit. I went home, accessorize it and put on some light make up. I left my house, feeling like I was on the way to a beauty pageant. I knew that I had made the right decision by going to Macy's. They have never failed me ,not only did I look good, but I held my head high and my self-esteem was in the atmosphere and my wallet did not have a huge dent in it. Over the weekend we decided to check out what's going on at Park Meadows . I like this Macy's. I found quite a few more goods than closer stores to me. What I loved was upstairs. The home goods are up there and I enjoyed the Christmas items. My other half LOVES collecting Santas and he found a gorgeous ceramic Santa as well as decorations for our home. I found an awesome Dutch oven and Waterford crystal ornaments. What surprised me was the large selection winter jackets. Heck, I even bought some makeup on this trip. Went to try to find perfume, walked by eight separate employees and not a single one asked if I needed help or how I was doing? We finally flagged down an associate that gave us the "we are closing soon eyeroll" I asked her how here day was and she said she was tired. Sure I get it working retail is hard. I had over $350 in my hand ready to buy and the associates would not acknowledge my existence. It was the weirdest shopping experience, like I felt like I was bothering the employees. I was tricked into signing up for a Macy's American Express Card at Macy's Park Meadows. I went to pay for some items and the server told me my Macy's card had expired, and that I needed to reactivate it. Since this was just after pandemic I kept my distance after I keyed in my social and showed him my license. He very quickly pressed on the screens that apparently warn me I am opening a new credit card. THIS IS FRAUD! I made a complaint with CFPB and got a letter from Macy's saying "I apologize if it was not made clear that you were indeed opening a new Macy's American Express credit card account." Not made clear? It was out and out fraud! And all they could do was say sorry? My credit rating could be affected, and I felt violated by that slimy sales person and the whole experience. The reply from Macy's also mentioned that I should have seen the screen showing I was getting an American Express card, but as I mentioned I was social distancing, and he very sneakily pressed the OK button on the screen twice in succession so I would not notice. Lastly, I called Macy's executive office three times to speak to the person who wrote to me in reply to my CFPB complaint, and my calls were never returned. I gave them a week, sound like they couldn't care less. I will be canceling both my Macy's card, and the Amex card, and will not shop there again out of principle unless they can do better than "I'm sorry you did not understand" I've spent thousands of dollars at Macy's for all my needs in the past. I went to return an item that I bought as Christmas gift. I was 2 days late for their extended return policy for holiday shopping. The customer service lady was very rude and condescending saying( what is the problem with people today; can't they understand the return policy). After getting the manager I go the item returned. As I was leaving she told me why are you still talking after getting your return. I felt so belittled and had to go up to the executive office to complain. The manager was on lunch break and so I was advised to write a complaint and that they will give me a call. They gave me a paper and pencil and so I wrote my complaint. Nobody got back with m and more than likely the trashed my letter. I am not surprised at bad reviews. If the executive office doesn't care so the other employees won't care either. So don't bother to complain to anyone if you have a bad experience. Just go in expecting the worst. Shop at your own risk !!! read more

Bad experience in luggage department I went to "browse" for an upcoming trip, sales lady politely asked me if I needed assistance, I said not at this time and continued looking at their selection. A few minutes passed and she approached again with more specific questions. Even though I was annoyed, I gave her my needs and she proceeded to take me to the most expensive luggage they had. Mind you, I didn't specify my price range so I get her need to sell but that's just not a great customer experience in my eyes. We looked around together for a while, English was her second language, which is fine, but I had to ask her to repeat numerous times. That's an embarrassing thing for both of us but again, you get through it. So we're getting close to making a decision and of course the prices displayed may not be final so she tells me to hold on and she'll be right back with a possible lower one. I wait ten minutes, she never returns and I leave. As I'm exiting the store, I notice a ton of what look to be corporate Macy's personnel roaming around doing inventory, quality checks, etc. of all days to leave a customer, I'd think that would be the worst. I love Macy's, shop there a ton and will continue to but they need to be better on a consistent basis. And when I say I'm browsing, wait for me to come to you. Today was the absolute worst possible experience you could have with customer service at Macy's. I went to look for snow boots in the shoe section and there was nobody there to be found. Everybody was servicing themselves, so I went over by the cash wrap and sitting on the floor. There was a sales associate looking in boxes. I asked her for help and showed her a pair of snow boots, which she took back and came back out and said we don't carry those anymore. The only pair we have is what's on the floor and then when I took her over to show her where I found them and she said oh yeah, we carry all these other styles and she was not willing to go back and put any effort at all into this experience. The other customers that were on the floor with me were highly frustrated and walking away just as quickly as they walked in this young lady should not be working retail. I would give it 0 stars, if I could. Macy used to be an upper end store in the good old days. Comparable to Wanamakers or Strawbridges. Most people have not heard of those stores because they are long out of business and Macy's will be soon as well. Customer service is horrible. I purchased two items online. on 11/29/2019. They sent an email that delivery was delayed and they couldn't guarantee by Christmas. So, I called to cancel my order as these items were my daughters main Christmas present. Thank God for Amazon, I ordered them there and got them in a few days. Then, to my surprise the items came from Macy's anyway weeks later.I also noticed on my bank statement that they charged me twice for one of the items. I took the items to Macy's Park Meadows. They returned one and put me on the phone with customer service to clear up the double charge on the other. This is where it gets worse. The rep could not speak english well enough to understand what my problem was. After 20 minutes of going back and forth, He said I had to write a letter explaining why I got charged twice!! I told him I don't know why I got charged twice, that is what I am trying to find out. The customer service people behind the desk just keep their heads down and pretended they didn't even hear me getting more and more frustrated and asking the Rep on the phone to repeat himself multiple times because I could not not understand him. In the end, I hung up on the phone rep. the two behind the desk avoided eye contact with me and acted like they were busy. I called my bank and disputed the charge. They will investigate and refund my account. I hope the Macy employees brush up their resumes because this chain will not survive the internet option with the deplorable customer service they currently have to offer. read more

The All-American brands have moved away from customer service and deeper into data science, artificial intelligence and advertising-algorithms. To big brands, we're pawns. CASE IN POINT: as I was shopping for a belt today, I saw a 20%-OFF sign above the rack. I figured, yeah, hook me up with a 20%-off belt! I grabbed one and headed to checkout. THE CATCH: At the cash register, Manager Poindexter McDoosh in the Men's Department at Macy's Littleton told me in a lovely patronizing manner, "Well, the sign actually says that IF YOU GET OUR CREDIT CARD, you get 20% off. Not much I can do, sir!" Well gosh Mr. Soulless Corporate Slut, aren't you a manager? Don't managers have authority? Heck, I'll bet there's a LOT you can do! First off, stop drinking the kool-aid! The BELTS 20% OFF sign had HUGE TEXT touting the discount. Then in teensy tiny print, "With use of the Macy's Store Credit Card." We've all become used to this deception. Stopped in to buy a new belt just recently. Thankfully I entered in the correct area of the store, so I figured I wouldn't have to search too hard. Wrong. Apparently I was just in too much of a rush or was just looking in the wrong directions. So, first things first, ask a salesperson. Ok, now to find a salesperson. Well this is about as hard as finding a belt. All I need is a finger-point in the right direction. Ok I find a guy, who looked about as creepy as you'd ever imagine in a Macy's store. Rather than saying a word to me, NOT a single word, he just starts walking. I honestly thought he was just walking away lol!! I follow, not necessarily because I think he's leading me to the belts, but maybe to say something to him. Honestly, I was too creeped out to talk to him again, so maybe it was just curiosity. He leads me fairly slowly, silently, to the area that has the belts. Without saying a word, he turns looks at me, looks at the belts, turns away without even a smile and walks away. WOW, creepy as #$*%&, but really interesting. Maybe that is a new training technique? Freak the customer out with a solemn walk, no smile, just crushing my mind -- all so that the expensive prices don't even phase me. Well done. I bought a pair of Alfani Capris today. The tag said 48 something. The sale sign said 37. Then I get home,peel the tag up, and they say $34.95. I'm not a big fan of this Macy's. I think that they've tried too hard to create that image of high-end. For example, their restroom layout is really inefficient. The first floor only has a men's restroom that is hidden away in the corner with very little signage. If you're a woman, you have to go to the 2nd floor to use the restroom. None of this information is posted anywhere... I also think that the staff at Macy's is really pushy. In the 30 minutes we walked around the store, I don't think we went 2 minutes without someone coming up to us and recommending a product that "they've recently bought and loved". It's hard to believe that three different employees have bought a $700 stand mixer... I just wanted to browse the store without feeling pressured or have to listen to a sales pitch. read more

We have always had very nice customer service experiences at Macy's. The fragrance department always has patient people willing to help us find the perfect scent and are actually knowledgeable about fragrance, not just where the Obsession is located. They just recently had a shoe sale and the shoe department sales people waited while I tried on no fewer than 20 pairs before deciding on the perfect pair. I was also able to find the perfect work skirt for an event in their enormous women's department. The BF was able to find shorts he loves in plenty of colors before our vacation, too. They always seem to have classic styles, plenty of sizes, and the right brands. I do love their online shopping experience, too, for when I don't want to venture out. read more

I am stunned. We have been shopping in the womens/petite section for over an hour now and we haven't seen any signs of a salesperson. What's up with that? Also, the items for sale are mostly helter-skelter. I see piles of clothing on a sales position that obviously hasn't been used in a looong time. Okay so this is my first time in the city. The area is nice and this mall, Park Meadows, is really nice. The people working in Macy's are super nice and friendly and shout out to Linda in the shoe department for taking excellent care of me, but... For all of the shops and restaurants at your fingertips in the area, this Macy's is small and kinda sad. The selection of goods left me wanting and I don't go Macy's to want. I go to Macy's to get my retail therapy fix. I did buy a cute INC skirt for work and an even cuter Free People sweater. And that's the other thing. This store is by far the worst. I was a regular in the beginning. And I love wearing free people accessories, but the past few times I've been in it felt like I was being watched more than helped. I went to try on some clothes recently and out of all the empty dressing rooms they put me in the one closest to the register, they kept asking me is everything ok? Before I even had the chance to try anything on yet... and then I overheard the girls saying in a condescending way "oh she hasn't even tried anything on yet?" Then not even 3 min later the same woman checked again. Once I was done I didn't choose anything and hung it up on the hanger outside. Afterwards it was dead silence when I came up to the register to check out and look at some rings. While I did that they carefully examined the dressing room as if I stole something. I have never stolen in my life. By far the worst shopping experience I've ever had, I'm happy with the purchase THAT I PAID FOR. I'm not happy with the terrible customer service watching me like a hawk assuming I'm stealing is by far the worst. I even opened my purse wide when I paid because I was so fed up.
