I have a hard time when a sales associate is hired to be that way as well, but is not. This was the case yesterday. I walked into the store and browsed for a good half an hour. Bobbi, the sales associate, made eye contact with me the moment I came in, but then walked away to fold clothes in a pile. I walked all around her a few times while she proceeded to tidy up the place, and not once did she greet me, or ask to help. I found quite a nice bundle of clothes to try on, and went into the changing room myself. A few moments later, another associate, Krista, asked to assist me, and was very friendly. The problem is, by then I was upset that Bobbi had no interest in assisting me while Krista was busy, that I decided to only purchase one top and earrings, and not the dress, jacket and skirt I was originally going to buy. I figure I'll just wait and buy it at another WHBM where they will appreciate my business. When I left, my daughter told me that she asked Bobbi a question about a silk top while I was in the dressing room, and Bobbi talked to her like she was an idiot and walked away from her also.
