J&H comes from a time when people wanted to look nice out of respect for others and themselves, and the tailors reciprocated in that they could not allow themselves to provide anything but the best. Jurgen's still provides this level of care and attention to their customers. Months, or even years after a sale, they will still be there to help in any way they can. There are two reproductive strategies in animal evolution, one that invests heavily in ensuring each offspring receives optimal care, and one that sacrifices care and time for quantity, accepting that many will be left to die. Sadly, the fine menswear world has become dominated by the latter, with corporate mens shops offering low quality factory made rack options waiving "buy one get four!" deals yet leaving you to fend for yourself once you've handed over the money. It is difficult for a family store catering to gentlemen to exist if there are no gentlemen left in this world. Juergen is still a place where a father can take his son to get dressed from top to bottom, with all custom tailoring still in house. I beseech anyone who is looking for menswear to not succumb to the smoke and mirrors of corporate chains and give Jurgen's a try, you will have a suit worth its weight in Persian gems.
