Located in the cherry hill mall. I prefer this Macy's and mall over Moorestown hands down. This Macy's is bigger with a much broader selection of brands. I also love that the entrance is located in the men's section. It makes my shopping much easier. The deals at Macy's cannot be beaten and if you get a Macy's card you can save even more! Provided you pay off your bill before interest. I don't know how Macy's stays in business. I never pay full price, most of the time not even half price. My shopping at this mall always starts with Macy's. read more

Isidor Straus is rolling in his grave. Ten days ago I went to the cherry hill Macy's to browse the watch department. A kindly Indian woman came to assist me. I tried on a Hamilton and a Tissot, and after some badgering, reluctantly purchased the Hamilton. Before I could offer a word to counter, our lovely saleswoman was hammering the links out and sending me on my way. But not before absolutely *insisting* that I apply for a Macy's credit card. I offered in passing that this was a birthday gift to myself from my *late* grandmother. The saleswoman asked me "are you okay or can I go home" and then promptly walked away leaving me standing on the counter with the box. Having got the watch home, I decided, having never worn it, that I don't especially care for it - it's something that I wasn't going to get real pleasure out of using - and I decided to return it. So I put the links back in the watch, (with a Breguet non-marring tool) boxed it up and went back to the store. After being sharply asked "why don't the sku numbers match" (referring to the manufacturer reference number on the hang tag of the watch) and "has this been sized!?" I responded to tell her the other tag was in the box, and that it had but I put the links back in. This associate then went to find our lovely Indian saleswoman, who began on a tirade about how long she spent with me, and about how much I loved the watch and about how "it was a birthday present from my grandmother" making me look like a scum bag in front of her colleagues. After explaining everything, including that I purchased the watch for myself with inheritance and that Lowell would have wanted me to get something I really liked, the manager kindly looked over the watch and, after discovering the tiniest of scratches on the back side of the buckle, informed me that the watch was no longer saleable and cannot be returned. It has never left its box. I think the scratch came from the saleswoman, who is not a watch repair person nor a jeweler, hammering the links out of the watch (and for what it's worth she didn't remove enough to begin with). It is evident she knew that having removed the links, the watch would not be returnable. I shudder to consider what she might have done had I purchased the Tissot, which was on a rubber strap. So now I'm stuck with an $800 disappointment after being treated like a criminal when all I wanted was a token of remembrance for someone I miss terribly much. Macy's used to be known for customer service and a satisfaction guaranteed attitude towards all their customers and products, but now all they care about is sales commission and nothing else. I will never, under any circumstances, ever, ever, ever buy anything from this disgrace of a store again, and I would urge even my worst enemies to do the same. read more

Most of my wardrobe comes from Macy's, I love INC, Jones of NY, Michael Kors just to name a few. And the shoes........... gee whizz. I spent close to $1,300 in shoes last yr. with sales and my coupons. LOL!! I did! Everthing is made over seas and I've had to return some Jones things. I can tell the quality is down from 10 yrs ago. It would be great if they would shampoo the carpets. And get some newer updated furniture. Some of the women that work there really know their stuff. "Jo" in Jones NY, awesome. The King of Prussia is really nice place to get your Diva on. Macy's has many things for professional women. 20-75 Macy's has over the yrs, fell off in the look of their stores. Get some new paint, redo some floors and carpets. Get back to what you did 10-20 yrs ago. You can beat out Nordstrom at the Cherry Hill mall with some easy fixes. Nord hasn't kept up in the sizes of women who are 14 and up. I haven't had fun at Nordstrom in Cherry Hill with cloths. They can't accomadate my top half. Love the shoes tho. read more

Hmmm, I know for a fact I had a review up here for this place so I'm calling shenanigans on Yelp, but let's put a new one up anyway. The selection since I was last here has been expanded to include XL and XXL sizes, which, considering the growing size of American men, was a smart move. It was summer closeout when I brought my son here for back to school clothes. He's 15. 6'1, and wear men's large, so there was plenty of selection. Pricing was surprisingly good on most items, with quite a few specials running. I was also able to pick him up a nice fall coat while we were at it. In short, a new pair of Khakis, a coat, and a dozen shirts and sweaters for under $450. The appliance sections in the basement are kind of sad these days, and almost makes you wonder why they still try and don't just abandon these types of products and do a proper men's floor. Not the best Macy's I've been to as far as staff help, but heads and shoulders above the JC Penny there. read more

Bought a couple of nice suits on sale when I was at the Macy's in Plymouth Meeting. Unfortunately the one jacket I really liked did not have matching pants in my size off the rack. I ordered them from their warehouse. The ones I received in the mail still didn't fit well. Decided to try this Macy's for a return or exchange. And despite the bridge toll it's closer to my South Philly 'hood too. Once I found the Men's Department I was pleasantly surprised. The layout and ambiance for checking out the suits was way better than Plymouth Meeting (they had very poor lighting making identifying colors a problem) and the selection was way larger. They had plenty more sizes and colors of the brand/cut of suit I liked. In the end I wish I had come here in the first place. The one salesman was helpful with finding the correct set of pants, making sure they fit well and with the exchange. He also informed me this is the 3rd largest Macy's in the northeast after New York and King of Prussia. If you're looking for formal wear - particularly a suit - just the size of their selection may make it worth your time to check out this Macy's. read more

I really want to love this Macy's because I'm a lifelong Macy's customer...but...this one is a little overcrowded, and the dressing rooms are often dirty. A year ago I submitted customer feedback and spoke with the store manager who followed-up on my input. Since then I've noticed that it continues to be crowed, a little dirty, and not in keeping with the Macy's brand. I'm exceptionally disappointed. The center city Macy's gets 900x the traffic and is so much nicer. This Macy's is in a really nice neighborhood and the staff are sweet, just not enough of them to keep it clean. There is also far too much stock on the floor and you feel crammed. If they could just balance a little less stock to manage their footprint and spruce up the dressing rooms (or at least clean them more frequently) I might be back. So sad. read more

We came on a sale day (25% off just about everything in the store) and managed to battle the choking throngs of people to get bras & shapewear. The shoe department was so overcrowded that shopping was just not possible. Great values (on sale day) but be prepared to power-shop! read more

NEVER answer the phone in the COAT dept. After purchasing a very expensive "Michael Kors" coat, the zipper stuck. Seriously stuck. My wife was in a panic. I told her to call the store. After 3 failed attempts to reach "anyone"; she left headed to Macy's in a fury. I tried to call myself to reach the COAT dept. They put you on "silence" as they try to connect you. NOTHING! Then they say "there doesn't appear to be anyone picking up. Would you like to REMAIN on hold while the "machine" tries again. I did this TWICE. So, that makes FIVE attempts. Next I called and asked to speak with the STORE MGR. I ended up in "human resources". I defy anyone out there to try and reach their COAT dept. HORRIBLE for this day and age with stores closing down all across the nation to have such terrible customer service. They should get a better system. read more

This Macy's is pretty rough. The store's very disorganized, the staff aren't welcoming. Spend the extra few minutes and head down to Moorestown. EDIT: Moorestown closed so you're stuck with this one. I wish I could get away from Macy's, for some reason I keep going back. My husband got me a Kate Spade watch as a gift, it didn't work. He returned it, they shipped him a new one, it still didn't work. We went back to the store and they told us we could only get store credit. Long in the short of it, we took our money to Time After Time to get the same watch, which actually worked. read more

Don't use dressing rooms! I was trying on a dress (with my 1yr old daughter with me!) and I opened the door to see if there was someone around to help me and there was a man in the dressing room(trying to peek in). I grabbed my kid and went out to leave and he quickly followed to run out I was yelling and screaming and neither employee helped because they were only trained to call security. cops and macy's security came but there were no cameras facing dressing rooms and no one seemed to be fazed by it. I find it amazing that with all the technology and cameras everywhere that a big department store like macy's does not have cameras facing dressing rooms. I will never go there again! I hope this guy doesn't try this again on someone else or do worse! read more

I generally avoid Macy's since the few times I've gone to stores in LA, DC and Center City Philly, they've been unkempt, unstaffed zoos. I took my elderly mom here for bras - never a pleasant experience when it requires fittings and lots of changes - and it was a pleasure. The dept was organized, well-stocked, spacious and Eileen, who assisted us, was terrific - kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I've never been to this particular store before but will come back. read more

This place still has great finds. Found out starting on Dec. 21 it was open 24 hours, Wow WTF! I had to exchange something & I didn't want the Crowds or wait til after the holidays . I got there around 8 am before the gym,no crowds. I figured out what I wanted told the associate the size of shoes. & they had it. The tags were still on it from gifts my neighbor given to me. I came all the way from Center City, Phila for the maternity section. Sadly, I was not impressed. The selection is targeted more at the frumpy minivan-driving set, not the young urban professional. I found a couple of generic, okay-looking staples (skirts, pants), surrounded by a lot of "ugh." At least some of those items were cheap, though. I hate the idea of paying a lot of money for clothes I'll only wear for a few months. read more

I went here on my way home from ny having been to the white plains and herald square stores. I came looking for clearance winter but went for new spring instead. Was tired of dark and suede. I was greeted by a gentleman named Craig, he walked the show department with me and in the end I left with a fabulous pair of Michael kors, Carlos Santana wedges and a bcbg wedge. He was pleasant and helpful. I know the Santana's weren't well made but on sale and discount they were $54 and cute as heck for the summer and spring. I usually do delaware and KOP but I would make a stop here for shoes and Craig. He was great. read more

The bridal department was garbage. A bunch of judgmental older women whom have minimal class and even less customer service. First issue was harassing my mother while she sat in the seating area because she was there for support with the group of us being bridesmaids and bride. Second issue was the insinuation that I would only want samples because I couldn't afford the other dresses and the chuckle when I mentioned rush shipping asking who's paying for that. Third issue was the lack of options for dresses giving excuses that their dresses haven't come in yet and telling each other the jumpsuits we found right outside their doorway was horrible and they wouldn't let us buy them. There were quiet a few other issues but I won't be returning to that Macy's and have several friends and family getting married will be sure to steer them away as well! read more

I've had to run here a few times for emergency items during the day. It's huge, always has what I need, and the service is good. The restrooms are on the 3rd floor and are a hike, but they're pretty clean. A nice bonus is that the giant organ is in the center of the store, and in the middle of the day, they play it for a while. It makes something innocuous like buying a handtowel seem much more exciting and ominous! read more

What a service, I went to origins couple times, and every time I felt bad after purchased. Because the sales attitude are so bad!!! It felt like they don't care if you buy or not buy. I believe they are more comfortable seeing all creased clothes thrown all over the place but with their fancy formal shirt sections, they don't want the customer to try and buy. The selection is great and prices and sales are great when you sign up for a credit card and have coupons. But they could do better with service. I love looking at shoes but it is quite a headache to find someone to get your size and then finding another person to get you to check out is another headache. read more

I'm done with Macy's. I've been a shopper there since it was Bamberger's, many, many years ago. Went to buy two capris and they had sent me coupons - either 20% off or $10 off a purchase of $30 or more. The coupons did not apply to my purchase ($28 each) as they were Macy's every day low price. Really? Can't remember the last time I was able to apply a coupon there. Next time it's The Loft, Kohl's, TJ Maxx or Marshall's. Basically anywhere but Macy's. And the salespeople are always pushing (and I mean pushing) the Macy's credit card. No thanks. No wonder they're in trouble. read more

Last night I spent over 2 hours with my daughter as she tried on maternity clothes so she could take advantage of the all day charity coupon we purchased. By the time we were finished and ready to make our purchases we were both exhausted (her from trying on all of those clothes while pregnant with twins and me from retrieving and hanging up half of the department). The entire time we never saw a single salesperson to assist us. We gathered up the clothes for purchase and with coupon in hand we laid everything down in front of the cashier. We were thrilled and relieved that she would be outfitted for the balance of her pregnancy. Well the thrill immediately wore off only to be replaced by anger and disgust upon being notified by the cashier that they would not honor our coupon since Macys did not own the Maternity Dept., it was simply rented out to some unnamed person/persons. At expressing our frustration she called her manager who supported her commentary. As a result of their deception we left all of the clothes on the counter. Shame on you Macys for not having substantial help and absolutely no indication that this department has nothing to do with your store or your name. ALL BUYERS should BEWARE!!!!! read more

Oh Macy's... I used to love shopping in-store. But after last week, I'll never step back into a Macy's store again. I not only had a bad experience at the Cherry Hill location, but also the Moorestown Mall location. First off, let me start by saying that I will continue to shop on Macys.com. Their customer service is by far so much more professional and a whole lot NICER than dealing with these folks at the store. Literally, rude person after rude person last week! So I left a bad review on the Moorestown location, which happened on a Thursday. The following Saturday, I had to bring back one item in store for a price adjustment. I had a "$10 back on a $25 purchase coupon". I read the rules and restrictions, and saw that my item, a purse, was eligible for the coupon. I went in first thing on Saturday to beat the weekend mall rush and headed over to the purse department with the purse in hand. I noticed that there was no one at the registers, so I made me way over to a clothing department. I was greeted by a lady that immediate said, "You have to go to the purse department." Well, good morning to you, too! I told her that I just came out of that department, and no one was at a register. "We aren't suppose to take it but oooo-k." Already, this was off to a bad start. After explaining how I wanted to use the coupon on the purse, she said I wasn't able to use the coupon. Another Macy's associate over heard and said, "Nope, you can't use that." Politely, I mentioned that the brand was not on the excluded list on the coupon. "Well, when I scan it, it's going to say 'No coupons allowed'..... LOOK SEE?? Come over here and see for yourself!" Um, ok, I'm not trying to argue with these ladies.... I just want to understand why the coupon won't work when it should. After feeling awkward that these ladies made me walk behind the register to see their register screen, I honestly wanted to just stop and leave. Then the second associate lady said, "OK, I'll do it this ONE time, but I'll NEVER do this again." Ugh, ok... take a chill pill, lady. After all that, she rang me up and processed the coupon. I said thank you very much... and her reply? "Yeah, ok." After walking away from the register, I look down at my receipt to see only a $6 discount and not $10. At this point, I decided to deal with it. I walk of out of Macy's and never looked back. Sorry Macy's. I'll never shop in-store again! read more

Tim, in the Men's Department, needs a permanent break. Please please please do all the customers and Macy employees a favor and fire this guy. He is burned out. I helped my husband buy a suit and he needed to get it altered. The employee helping us who was so sweet, got yelled at and talked down to like a child, right in front of my husband and I by this guy Tim. Tim got overly agitated when the employee (who was a grown man too) asked him a simple question, making everyone feel super uncomfortable. Tim should absolutely not be in any managerial position, if he is, especially considering that every other employee was put together besides him. His outfit was sloppy and unkept. Either this guy changes his attitude and apologizes to every employee he's disrespected, or something is wrong with the company for keeping him around. read more

I went to Macy's looking for a formal wrap to wear with my black tie dress. I saw a style online that was supposed to be in stock in the store. I could not find it on the floor, so I asked an employee for assistance. Erin promptly assisted me in looking for the wrap. She checked online for the availability of the item, and then she walked me downstairs to help me look for it. We couldn't find it, so she called her manager. She began searching the stock room, and came back with the wrap I was looking at online, as well as three other options. I decided to go with one of the other options that she chose. The wrap is a perfect match to my shoes!!! I'm so grateful that Erin went out of her way to assist me. I would have never found the perfect wrap without her assistance! read more

Not quite as bad as they are saying- my current complaint about Macys is the lack of quality clothing for anyone over 25 in the women's department - I am not about to pay $125 for a pair of skinny ripped jeans. They just need to get back to the basics in some of their categories - well made sweaters, well made tees, etc. In this, they are no different from most any other store these days - prices are higher, quality is down. I would love to see the return of brands like Chaus, Josephine Chaus, Karen Kane, etc. I will say that their cosmetic department is still very good with a nice selection and service, their handbag department is really great also - lots of different price points and lots to choose from. Their socks/stockings/accessories department has great brands like Hue, and, I have to disagree with the previous reviewer regarding their lingerie department - they have an awesome selection. I bought two pairs of pajamas there like three years ago, and they look new after many washings. No, they cannot be faulted for having probably the only decent lingerie/sleepwear department in the area. I think Nordstrom has plenty of unattractive, overpriced tripe that I wouldn't buy for any price. They don't have a lot of stock as far as affordable apparel items. read more

I usually LOVE Macy's but I went to the Macy's in Cherry Hill in June. I was in the Women's Suit Separates Department & was at the register to make my purchase. As the price came up I gave a little groan to which the very nice sales lady told me about a PRE-SALE PROMOTION they were doing. She could give me the sale price that day, but I wouldn't be able to pick up the merchandise until the actual Sale was going on (in this case it was about a week and a half later). I was assured that my card would NOT be charged until I picked up the merchandise. I love my discounts so of course I jumped at it. Still this left me with a $242 bill. I later went shopping elsewhere and found some other items a bit cheaper and decided I didn't want to keep the Macy's clothing. I called and the representative said I would have to go back in the store to cancel it. I finally got back in the store about 3 weeks from the time I made the initial purchase and a week and a few days after the sale began. I went up to the 2nd floor with my receipt in hand. I gave it to the representative who went to the backroom - brought out the items (still in a plastic bag) did a few things on the computer and said all was taken care of. Now I have a Credit Card bill for $242 for items that NEVER LEFT THEIR STORE. I called the Credit Card people and after several attempts and many recorded voices saying we are experiencing high call volume please call back at another time, I finally got through to someone. Then, the man on the phone, who I could barely understand, told me that he made notes and sent it to dispute department and I should call back in 48 hours. I asked if there was a direct number to the department or if there was a ref# he could give me and he said no. I asked if a hold could be put on my account as disputed charges in effect so that it doesn't get reported to my credit - he said we don't deal with your credit. I said I know you don't deal with my credit but you deal with this specific account and I don't want an error messing with my credit. He wasn't understanding and just told me I could make a payment if I wanted to. Needless to say, I am furious. We'll see what happens in the next 48 hours. read more
