I went into Macy's yesterday while dress shopping and their dress sections were a mess. Nothing was in size order and the same dresses were placed in multiple spots on the floor. The employee in the fitting room snapped at me when I came in to say to put the dresses I don't want on the rack, which I do anyways. When I went to checkout I had an online coupon for 25% off and the employee wouldn't honor it. She was also talking in another language to another employee right in front of me and not interacting with me while she rang me up. I ended up purchasing the dress I wanted online with my coupon for pickup at the same store. The coupon saved me $30, but now I have to go back to the mall to pick up the dress since the employee wouldn't apply the coupon in person. read more

I think they don't have enough employees. I saw it especially in the shoe department, so it wasn't the guys fault it was busy, but he clearly didn't know how to handle it. As well, keep in mind (and why I'm writing this), they don't respect the people buying from the sale rack so don't bother. It was a mess so no one is putting the right sizes accordingly. If you want a pair, why are the mates not nearby. Why waste your time for something practically non existent even if you do find what you like in your size as I did? He did do 3 things showing his lack of ethics or the companies failed training. He was from another country & maybe that's how they treat people there. (I worked in Lord & Taylor yrs. ago so I know how people should be treated, not so much by their staff as to my own sense. The young ladies there just looked at what you were wearing.) In picking out an item from the sale rack to get the mate, the first girl didn't seem to want to help & understandably, the expensive shoes needed to be transacted, so the guy stepped in. He was in the back searching while I waited 20 min. 1) he didn't come out to say, "I'm still looking" or "I can't find it." So I called in, "I think you're having a hard time finding it." No response because in looking up, he was with another customer transacting at a register so I walked over. He didn't look at me to act like we were in the middle of a possible sale together, so I waited until they were quiet and interjected, "Did you find it?" He told me he'd help me after the current transaction with a clear upsetment on his face, like a scowl to blow me off at the disruption. This time I asked him, "yes or no, did you find it?" He said "no". I wasn't planning to stay longer if he said "no"; I said "thank you" & I left. What kind of employee & situation would you say this is? He evidently didn't know how to handle the busyness or have the ethics to finish with his first customer. They needed someone else at the 2nd register. How do they know they'll miss out on many possible sales after you tell people not to bother. As well, the "made in China" clip on earrings were mostly $24-28.00! read more

April 20th I had an issue with my Macys CC and called Customer Support to assist. The call with the first rep I spoke with (guy) between 2:30 and 3:15 PM did not go well so I asked for a supervisor. I believe her name was Lee (not sure). I fell totally on deaf ear. The issue itself became secondary to the lack of interest too who I was speaking with. My issue was not settled. I wanted to stay on the phone to answer the survey questions.... That did not happen either. The supervisor realized I did not hang up and come back of the line and asked me to hang up. I explained I wanted to take the survey. She said you will receive an email. She disconnected my call and to date no email was received. In the number of decades I've been a repeat customer I have NEVER encounter such lack of customer support. I used a different credit card to make my purchase. read more

What the heck happened to the Macy's I remembered? It's been years since I've stepped foot in this particular store and I remember it was kind of a place where you did some sort of upscale shopping. I stopped in not too long ago and the place, particularly upstairs, was a roaring mess. I walked into Macy's at Cherry Hill Mall today at 6:00PM there was one young lady working in the lingerie department. She didn't speak or address that I was there. I asked her where were the Miracle Suits brand and she replied on the wall well that was not the case the wall only had Maiden form. I was in a hurry but after searching I found the item myself. I walked to another department to pay for it because I can't stand rude customer service! When I left the store she was still standing in the same spot. The lingerie lady's are so lazy they refused to open more then 3 fittings rooms in a busy Friday afternoon at 3pm. At least 2 employees at the register. I put my bras down and left and the grumpy, old, short one said SARCASTICALLY "have a nice day!" I was there for over a half hour and no one offered to help me. I am severely immunocompromised and had on a n95 and shield. Lost 100 pounds and could have used a hand. But no. I got the trolls of Macys Lingerie Dept instead. If I could give them 0 stars for customer service I certainly would. I went to Macys Sunglass Hut inside store. I liked a pair of sunglasses but they only had the display pair. They said they can order and have them delivered to my home. So I paid for them. I never received any delivery or a delivery notification. I called the Macy's sunglass hut location and they told me that the order was canceled. Then my bill came. The charge was on the bill. I called customer service they said I had to go to a website for Macy's American Express Citi bank to do a billing dispute. No confirmation from them they received the dispute and receipts I had sent. Weeks later I received a letter stating that the glasses were delivered with a UPS tracking number (smart post) which means they hand it off to the United States Post office for delivery. I pulled up the tracking number it said Left in mailbox, my town and state. No street address. Called customer service again - I shouldn't have to pay for something I never received. They told me to do a dispute with ups (their Job!) Went to USPS and cannot file a claim because the package was not insured. Macy's will never see me as a customer again! They have gone down hill - the store has no customer service its farmed out as everything is these days. Unhappy former customer. read more

This Macy's is now the only game in town, unless you want to head over to the Philly Macy's. This location is located inside the Cherry Hill Mall and consists of 3 different levels. You can enter through the mall, or from outside. The entry level floor hosts a variety of departments including juniors, shoes, purses and make up. Upstairs you will find the Women's section. Throughout the store there are various "Last Act" sections. Here you'll find clearance items at low prices, coupons cannot typically be used on "last act" items. While I'll miss the Moorestown Macy's, this location will do. read more

Macy's Cherry Hill is on one helluva downward spiral. It's almost like Nordstrom arrived and the whole place just gave up and waved the white flag of defeat. The only area of the store that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out is the downstairs home area. I'm sure it's in Macy's best interest to at least keep the bed, bath and kitchen departments up to snuff - they'd be reduced to nothing without their bridal registry business. The shoe department is always a zoo, the lingerie/pajama department is stocked with items I'd imagine could be found in a Kmart (cheap- and tacky-looking) and the women's department is a minefield littered with detonated clothes explosions: articles falling off of hangers, draped over racks or just on the floor. Dressing rooms are outdated and just kind of gross. It would really take a miracle to get this place back on track. read more

I'm with Michelle on this one. If you want to go to a real department store, go to Nordstrom's at the opposite end. Hell, just go to KOP for a real live version of Macy's. This store is filled with lots of stuff people could care less about for prices they are certainly not willing to pay. The few exceptions are hidden gems among the junk on the sale racks. I found a nice lace shrug for only $10 and was able to find the guy I'm seeing a nice new dress shirt for a mere $7.99. The cherry on the top of this downtrodden shell of a store was the woman that rang us out. Not only were her fingers overshadowed by the acrylic talons she was sporting, but she also decided to make them multiple colors as well. She was fun, she laughed and joked with us while ringing us out, but would I really have said if she had done otherwise? I have no desire to get into a cat fight with a woman who already has 3 inch claws already unsheathed. read more

The men's department operators and employees are very rude and say "there is no such thing as over the phone purchases with item number and Macy's credit card." Macy's cherry hill I worked there in security and was terminated after 2.5 years for just doing my job at my post when I was approached by a worker who started dropping the F bomb on me for something about the walkie talkie which I corrected him and sent him to my captain who told him that yes I am right about what I told him. This worker was only there 4 days and I am there 2.5 years and was told by management and employees that I am the best security worker that they ever had. I been doing security for over 40 years. Well this young kid said that I cursed him. I said he came over to me I didn't go over to him. Now I am out a job and he still working there. Unbelievable. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing cause I was at my post not bothering anyone and just doing my job. Please don't support Macy's as they are a horrible place to work and treat there workers horrible and there management is low classed and despicable. Stay away from Macy's for good. read more

I'm still mourning over the closing of the Moorestown & Echelon Macy's. This has always been my least favorite Macy's around, but now it is one of the only options. The store is really big and has all of the typical departments you would expect in a Macy's. As a part of the Cherry Hill Mall, the parking lot can be crowded and inside the store can also get pretty busy. I've had to wait in line for a dressing room here, but you can walk around to try to find different ones. On my most recent visit, there was only one person working the shoe area which led to inconvenience and delays for people wanting to try shoes on or check out. Overall, I still love Macy's but I'd rather just order online. read more

You also send out lots of coupons, but you cannot use the coupons on ANYTHING because all your merchandise is on sale. Of course, the one item I purchased was not on sale, but a Polo brand so of course, you exclude THAT from the coupons too. Then I hand you my Macy's Gift Card that my uncle sent me for my birthday, and your computers are down and cannot accept any gift cards today! Give me a break!! I'm done with your store. Ordered cookware for pickup. It was ready for pickup quickly and they got it to me very fast. So far, so good. But when I got home and opened the package, it turns out they tried to pawn a used, dirty set as new on me. Unbelievable. I went to macys last week and saw multiple employees with their masks half off their face, either under their nose or they were actually pulling the masks off to talk to people. Also, I waited for 20 minutes in the shoe section and asked THREE separate workers for help for a size of a shoe. First worker literally shh'd me away with his hand. Second worker cut me off and said "give me a second" and never came back. Third worker said she was too busy. Will never be returning and also I never got my shoes. I left them there and walked out so angry. Also when I wast upstairs in womens clothes I saw the cashier take her mask off and itch her nose and then not use sanitizer and continue to take peoples items and check them out. read more

I've never had such an awful experience as I just had at the Customer Service desk at Macy's in Cherry Hill, NJ. This review should be ZERO stars. I ordered several pairs of shoes for my son last week in different sizes. I returned one pair which did not fit him, with my email receipt. Without a greeting or a request for the receipt, the young woman at the Customer Service desk whose name is Nedra opened the box and told me the shoes were scratched on the bottom and she would not return them. I was so stunned and taken aback at the accusation that the shoes were worn. I informed her they were never worn and that they were just delivered less than a week ago and that we kept the same pair of shoes in the other size. Without looking at my receipt, or a word to me, she left the area with the shoes and appeared to speak to someone in the women's shoe department. She returned in silence and never said one more thing to me. She rudely asked for my receipt which I gave her and the return was made back to my credit card. I will never shop there again. Shame on Macy's for failing to train their employees and for allowing them to treat their customers so poorly. I have never had this experience- ever- and I've been shopping for over 30 years. It's unacceptable and should not be tolerated. read more

I normally only give reviews on businesses where I either receive great service or horrible service. Unfortunately, this review is due to the horrible service my daughter and I received, or should I say never received, at the Cherry Hill Macy's. Let's make this quick. 1.) My daughter is tall and thin and I was looking for her a winter coat. When I walked in the junior section the Macy's associate never greeted us. I had to approach her and ask her for help. I need a winter coat for a tall teenage girl (the sleeves has to be longer than regular sized coats). Well the associate said Macy's only sell that size online. Why?? Ok let's move on and shop for mommy. 2.) I picked up a small black leather jacket that I was very happy with (25% off YES!!). I then went to the shoe section, waited and waited, no help so I left. I then walked to the Michael Kors section to pick out a handbag. I picked out 2 Michael Kors bags and a Michael Kors charm. We waited in the section to checkout for 22 minutes and no one ever showed up to cash us out. There were 3 other women waiting as well. After waiting that long we just left without buying the jacket or handbags. This was a horrible shopping experience. Mind you, I just shopped at the Macy's at Time Square and it was an amazing experience. The Associates were so helpful in every section. Maybe my $730 means nothing to a large corporation like Macy's. I'll never go there again. I'd rather take the 2 hour ride to NY to get what I want with exceptional service. read more

I felt like I needed a new shirt today and instead of just heading home, I continued down Route 38 to Macy's just to browse around. The men's department...oh, excuse me, "Would you like to open a Macy's charge card account today?"... As I was saying, the men's department was the same as it always is; over-crowded with junky clothing that no one would ever wear but on a rare occasion you can find a diamond in the rough...if you're willing to spend the time digging through the cluster-f*ck they call displays. As I browsed...hang on..."Would you like to open a Macy's charge card account today?"...through the clothes, I was told for the millionth time that I could save an additional 15% if I opened a charge account. No, thank you. I tried on a pair of plaid pants that I thought might look smashing but they ended up looking like a couch on my lower half. I ended up with a Polo shirt on clearance. "Would you like to open a Macy's charge card account today?" Store inventory aside, if one more f*cking person asked me if I wanted to open a charge card account, I was going to hurt someone. Most likely the woman in the fragrances department who couldn't stop walking beside me to explain all the wonderful benefits of having a Macy's charge card. I guess she didn't agree with me when I told her that I felt charge cards were the single most detrimental component of our modern society's economy. This is a great department store overall and quite large. It's clean and well-organized inside, and the shelves are stocked with the right amount of merchandise (never too many hangers on a row, even in the clearance area). Other than Nordstrom's, I would say that Macy's is probably the Cherry Hill Mall's strongest anchor store. The store always has great sales going on, especially if you have a store card (I succumbed to the temptation recently). My biggest complaint is the customer service here. The employees are friendly enough, but more often than not, too few people are working. It can also be hard to find a register unless you know where you're going. read more

This has been my favorite Macy's to shop for handbags and housewares. The handbags department has a pretty large selection of various designers including Michael Kors and Kate Spade (yayyyy!). My most recent visit and purchase was during Friends and Family. The sales lady in the handbags section was PHENOMENAL! The housewares department makes me want to continuously redecorate my house. In the past few years, the cosmetics department has expanded to include Philosophy and some other brands carried at stores like Sephora and Ulta. You'll take your life into your hands when you enter the shoe department. I avoid that department like I avoid plague. Ladies clothing is on the upper level -- it's much bigger than the Macy's in Echelon (aka the Voorhees Town Center). All the usual suspects have their own sections -- INC, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, etc. Service is meh on this floor. A bit snobby and pretentious. read more

Macy's is one of those stores where you can get all your shopping done, or get absolutely nothing. Macy's is your typical department store set up, that is always busy. I do like their shoe department but I wish their clothes were a little bit better. They try their hardest to stay on top of fashion, but when you go to the store; their selection is not the greatest. Isidor Straus is rolling in his grave. Ten days ago I went to the cherry hill Macy's to browse the watch department. A kindly Indian woman came to assist me. I tried on a Hamilton and a Tissot, and after some badgering, reluctantly purchased the Hamilton. Before I could offer a word to counter, our lovely saleswoman was hammering the links out and sending me on my way. But not before absolutely *insisting* that I apply for a Macy's credit card. I offered in passing that this was a birthday gift to myself from my *late* grandmother. The saleswoman asked me "are you okay or can I go home" and then promptly walked away leaving me standing on the counter with the box. Having got the watch home, I decided, having never worn it, that I don't especially care for it - it's something that I wasn't going to get real pleasure out of using - and I decided to return it. So I put the links back in the watch, (with a Breguet non-marring tool) boxed it up and went back to the store. After being sharply asked "why don't the sku numbers match" (referring to the manufacturer reference number on the hang tag of the watch) and "has this been sized!?" I responded to tell her the other tag was in the box, and that it had but I put the links back in. This associate then went to find our lovely Indian saleswoman, who began on a tirade about how long she spent with me, and about how much I loved the watch and about how "it was a birthday present from my grandmother" making me look like a scum bag in front of her colleagues. After explaining everything, including that I purchased the watch for myself with inheritance and that Lowell would have wanted me to get something I really liked, the manager kindly looked over the watch and, after discovering the tiniest of scratches on the back side of the buckle, informed me that the watch was no longer saleable and cannot be returned. It has never left its box. I think the scratch came from the saleswoman, who is not a watch repair person nor a jeweler, hammering the links out of the watch (and for what it's worth she didn't remove enough to begin with). It is evident she knew that having removed the links, the watch would not be returnable. I shudder to consider what she might have done had I purchased the Tissot, which was on a rubber strap. So now I'm stuck with an $800 disappointment after being treated like a criminal when all I wanted was a token of remembrance for someone I miss terribly much. Macy's used to be known for customer service and a satisfaction guaranteed attitude towards all their customers and products, but now all they care about is sales commission and nothing else. I will never, under any circumstances, ever, ever, ever buy anything from this disgrace of a store again, and I would urge even my worst enemies to do the same. read more
