Grabbed a vest off the rack, and went inside... greeted cheerfully by staff. Asked if I wanted to try on vest, so I did. Was surprisingly offered to be shown like 3 different ways to wear it. I was in a hurry so I didn't really get to look around. Traffic was steady with people constantly coming in. Staff were very polite, helpful and engaging. I'm not one to shop much for clothing but I'd come back here if I'm in the area again. Beautiful clothing displays and accessories. I honestly can't wait to get back to take a thorough look.

Went in today for the first and last time. Upon opening the door, I was hit with such a strong…read moremusty/mildewy odor. I can not imagine how this odor would ever wash out of the clothing. I did look around, just out of curiosity, but that odor was too overwhelming to even consider trying on anything. I can't figure how anyone can stand to be inside the place for more than a few minutes. It's atrocious. As for the staff, there were 2 older ladies greeting guests and a young lady at the register. When the older ladies asked if they could help me find something, I mentioned it was my first time stopping in and we'd just had lunch across the street, so I'm just browsing. The dark haired lady asked what we had and if we liked it. I said we'd been going weekly for the last 4-5 weeks and everything has been excellent. The lighter haired lady interjected (I didn't get to tell the other lady what we ate), saying she'd been there when they first opened (a year or so ago?). I asked if she liked it and she got quite agitated and said "NO!" I asked "Why? What did you have?" She went off on a tirade about how she "asked for a steak sandwich and it didn't come with sauce!" I asked "Sauce?" She continued "yes! I've NEVER seen a steak sandwich without SAUCE! I asked 'what am I supposed to put on it, then?!' And they told me ketchup! I wanted SAUCE! They told me they didn't have that!" She kept repeating that she'd never seen a steak sandwich without sauce. I told her "Well, they're not a pizza shop, so if they don't make things with sauce, they wouldn't have it and, also, that would be called a pizza steak -- a regular steak sandwich does not come with sauce." I made sure to repeat that we'd gone there every week lately and everything we've had has been excellent. She then claimed they charged her $2.50 for water and didn't believe me that I got ice water served in a large cup for free. Hoo boy! This lady is a piece of work. BTW, I don't know what the menu looked like when the place first opened but, in case she's reading this, they DO have a pizza steak on the menu now. I should have told her that, by HER logic, people should leave her a bad review bc she doesn't sell, say... Levi's and they wanted Levi's! Such a ridiculous reason to tell people you didn't like a place! Just like saying you didn't like a restaurant bc you wanted something they do not serve! But yeah... I would give her ZERO STARS if that was an option. Because her store reeks terribly and her attitude leaves a lot to be desired! Prices are ridiculous, too. Oy.

The woman said "What I'm I to do with this?" I said "Excuse me?" she went on to say that the garment smelled of smoke and asked if the gifter smokes. I said "no" and smelled the piece of crap and then had my wife smell the piece of crap.... no smell whatsoever. We said "we don't smell anything". She then said that the store tag was missing and questioned whether we purchased it there. I said "it still has a four inch manufacturer's tag hanging from it and you can't identify this garment as something you sell here?" She replied "I have seen it at other places and we can't have a return policy like Macy's". I said "we have the bag with your stores name on it and the $60 receipt right there on the counter". She said hesitantly "well I guess I could try to air it out". Conclusion- post this and forget about it !!! My Dachshund now loves it - the smell of crap and smoke doesn't bother her. You can browse through a rack of Massachusetts brand Penfield, Brooklyn's The Hill-Side and Copenhagen's fresh menswear line Norse Projects (the only place in Philly that carries this brand). P's & Q's also offers up home goods and skincare from eco-conscious brands like Izola and Baxter. The back of the store showcases beautiful hardcover tomes from Taschen Books and U.S. stationery brand Field Notes. The shop also carries their own line of T shirts with smart and bold graphics created in-house. What I like most about P's & Q's is not their stocklist but their overall vibe. The design of the interior is gorgeous. There is wood everywhere including the floors, shelving units and islands. There is something about wood that is just naturally inviting and warm. The occasional incense stick helps also to relieve the stress of shopping (it's hard for dudes sometimes). The entire staff is also super friendly and helpful, and most of all laid back and unpretentious. There is nothing worse than dropping a few hundred dollars in a shop and leave feeling like they did YOU the favor! P's & Q's showcases their own interests and sense of style as apposed to following the latest trends or letting blog posts from Hypebeast dictate their inventory. They also focus on brands that have eco and socially conscious business practices, this is something that is very important to me. I happened to be wandering Providence Town Center, checking out the latest additions when a cute…read morewindow display caught my eye. I ended up walking in to look around. The clothing is pretty eclectic and they have a diverse range of things from accessories to shoes to tops and jeans. An awesome burnt orange jacket caught my eye and I just had to try it on! In the fitting room, there was actually a sign "Selfies Welcome!" and a list of their facebook and twitter you can post to which I thought was pretty cool. Long story short, I ended up loving the jacket and can't wait to wear it as part of my new fall wardrobe!
