Cosmetics department was the only one who asked if I needed help. All the other employees scurried off like rats. I found a cute Michael Kors purse I wanted to buy. When I finally tracked down two people who remotely looked like they were employed by Macy's, one took off like a bat out of hell & the other told me I had to wait for the cashier who was busy ringing other people up. What the he'll Macy's???? read more

A+ for service quality! Purchased items both in the mens cologne department and the womens purse department. The female staff in the cologne area was both patient and helpful in finding just the right scent, and the female staff in the purse department was very helpful and informative with all the different sizes and colors. This is a very large location that is central in the Valley. read more

I love Macy's but this go out to the ladies shoe department . There so unorganized they have 5 employees at that department but only have 2 people working 3 of the employees were behind a register idk what they were doing but they sure could've helped out the other employees . I went today to get my mom a gift I knew it would be quick since I already knew what I was getting but Idk how a quick run to the store turn to a 30 min wait and leaving with nothing ?!? I asked for the size of the shoe and waited a couples of minutes I understand it busy . As the gentlemen comes back and say we have the size it's just the display I said it fine . & says I just have too look for display shoe when I had just handed him the display shoe how does it go missing it short amount of time ?!! And says I'm pretty sure it's on the chairs thrown but doesn't even go check . So I said it's okay can you see if any other near Macy has it for me since you can't find the shoe . And he said no you can just call your self ?!? Ok first I understand it's busy but I'm a paying customer that just wanted to be quick so I can just go ask for it and pay for it . You can do something simple as just to place it on hold at another store . Ridiculous . read more

Bought a bed a year ago. Thought it was sagging more than it should, so I called Macys. They sent someone out, he measured and agreed, and Macy's approved a replacement. I went to the store; tested out the replacement bed, and it arrived today, which was as soon as I could fit the delivery into my schedule. As I was instructed, I was careful during the past year to keep it clean. Used a waterproof bed pad and had no problem with them taking it back. They will not replace it if you spill or get spots on it. They also sell an insurance with a waterproof pad, or you can buy a waterproof pad elsewhere, but you won't have the insurance. Regardless, they were great about replacing the bed after a full year. read more

This a review specifically for Mindy in the lingerie department. We were very impressed with her patience and kindness in fitting my disabled sister for a bra. My sister was so thrilled to finally have a well fitting quality bra. Mindy is a gem. read more

Customer service is usually not good. I mostly shop online from Macy's but when I have to go to store I'm never happy with their customer service. read more

Wow- Very Impressed! Tonight i was searching for a velvet sport coat for an event I'm planning to attend on April 8th in dowtown L.A. While they did not have my jacket in the store, the salesman in the men's suit department guided me through several different options, fittings, and even other departments. We ended up finding the jacket on Macys.com and it was already very heavily discounted. He then insisted on free shipping after an additional discount! Damn, I wish more places were this customer-service oriented! More buinesses should take lessons on customer service from this Macy's! Exceptional - I'm a 20 year veteran in the marketing research industry. read more

I shop on Macys.com often, but sometimes I am forced to go into the store to pick up an item and I consistently have bad experiences. If you need help finding any item, it is so hard to find anyone that works there/interested in helping. I feel like that store has no regard for customer service or their customer's time. I think I will stick to shopping online... read more

It's too bad that Macy's has become the only major department store and the anchor of most malls, because that means there is no competition for them and nowhere else for a shopper to go. And of all the Macy's in Southern California, the experience here is the very worst. The store is a mess, with merchandise on the floor, left behind in dressing rooms and stuck on whatever rack seems to be handy. The clothes are geared to those 35 and under, so anyone who can't -- or won't -- dress like a teenager is out of luck. If a shopper does happen to find something attractive, the range of sizes is very limited. (I was told by a clerk they are allocated just *one* size small in some styles.) The clerks do their best to be pleasant, but there's never enough of them so lines are long and it's not uncommon to have to wait a half-hour to check out. In an effort to make the shopping experience more *fun,* the store has started blasting hip-hop music at a volume that makes it impossible for customers or clerks to hear one another. If Macy's management wonders why customers are shying away from brick-and-mortar stores, they need to spend just 5 minutes in this store to find out. read more

Worst customer service ever !!! Nahid who works in the shoe department definitely needs some training or she needs to get a different job she started arguing with me in front of another customer she was helping after i asked for Ram which is another worker to help because she didn't know wtf she was doing after i was already there for 30 min Ram initially tried to tell her how to do a price adjustment and she apparently didn't want his help so after being there i told her just to have him do it as i had to go she then started being rude saying it dosent matter how i do it ur still gonna get ur money right and started arguing with me even after she had already called the next customer she was still arguing with me no customer service whats o ever .dosent she know customer is always right well apparently she dosent. she told me well am gonna tell ram to do exactly what i was doing and went to the back and started arguing with him we could hear everything. afer Ram came out he was very polite and even apologized for her behavior and help me in less than 5 min he called manager on the phone and got the approval. he definitely knew what he was doing. so if you come to this store make sure you get helped by Ram and not NAHID . read more

Shopped at Macys FOREVER! Even worked there for about 2 years when I was in my 20's. Cant believe the lazieness of the employees in the womans dress department! So Im trying on evening gowns and needed another size but obviously couldnt leave all my things in the fitting room. There were 3 people doing "go backs" in that fitting area alone and none of them would help me get the size I needed. I had to get dressed, take all of my things (and clothes to purchase) and walk back out to the floor only to return and do it all over again 2 minutes later just to find my room occupied. Since when do retail employess NOT have to HELP the customers?? I ended up purchasing 2 dresses, spending over $500, but only because I need them for an event. Otherwise I would have walked out. NEVER SHOPPING THERE AGAIN! read more

Macys "The Corporate Gangsters from Ohio" No, its not a reality show---Its "business as usual" from the entity that is being sued by The State of California" for "Bait and Switch" and being fined millions of dollars! Customer Dis Service disrespect, seems to be their mantra, apparently the customer is just an annoying entity with a dollar sign on their head----especially when shopping online---One has to deal with a call Center Overseas in the Philippines-who are: inept, rude, untrained, and have no understanding of the English language, in all venues--Its definitely corporate greed, as I can only assume they make $3.00 an hour---much to the frustration of the customer---who has to endure, anguish and frustration---I might as well be talking to my coffee table! lately, theseBULLYS have been harassing me at home during the dinner hour---several nights in a row---They use an Ohio number with no business name on the Caller ID---pretty sneaky---Why? I suspect: telemarketing, surveys, or fraud----When I called and asked them to cease the calls I got disrespected, and patronized---Finally I vented, gave them a lecture, and indicated I might be interested in legal relief ironically, the gift was for my attorney! who is quite aware of this scenario---as to the calls, loss of my time, interference with my business, and aggravation---I was able to remove my phone number---However, these Lowlifes froze my account so I cannot delete my account, and credit card data, beware Macys-as-I will not tolerate fraud---I told them that I shall never shop there again--after TWENTY years as a customer who has spent mega bucks----so that these Fat, middle American, large derriere, rude, zombies can indulge in their pathetic, clueless, unhappy lives with a low IQ, huge ego, anger issues, and indulge in perpetual menopause, false a sense of entitlement--attacking customers who have a valid complaint---They also froze me out of their site---and an attempted low class vindictive pseudo false complaint--Overreaction??? No wonder they are going out of business, they are also being challenged by thousands of customers who want Ivanka Trumps clothing out of the store---They have bad karma, and a bad attitude----I hope they enjoy unemployment---as macys has reached its expiration date read more

If I could give it a negative number I would. The Macy's fraud department is worse than an abortion! I have been trying to clear unauthorized charges from my account for over 7 months. All I get is apologies, but no action. When I ask to speak to the head of the fraud department, they won't let you. I even recently finally got a letter from them accepting responsibility and then on the next billing cycle, they charged me for late charges of $175. They are the absolute worse to deal with. Their people keep you on hold for very long periods of time and never accomplish anything. I hope someone realizes how poor their service is and terminates the idiot that is in charge now. I can only hope that something similar happens to them and it take at least a year to clear and they are totally frustrated by whatever process they have to endure. I won't even walk into a Macy's store, I won't buy anything from them and I continue to tell all of my friends what a rathole of a company they run. I hope they go out of business. read more

Such a pain in the butt to check out. They are so desperate for these credit cards that they push and push and push. And if you don't open one good luck trying to use any discounts on your purchases. Even if the discount says you can use it in store or does not exclude your item they will give you some excuse as to why you can't use it. Oh but if you open the Credit Card they are happy to serve you. If you look like you come from money they will be all over you. I have gone there dressed down just to look at a shirt, never got a hello, never was offered assistance. Its crazy how they treat you here. The home section is a mess. I bought a sheet set and the size was off, so I went to return it and the cashier opened the packaging. She claims to me that I was missing a sheet, I told her I bought it on clearance and that I never opened it. She almost try to deny my return when I told her to look at the sheets and tell me if it looks like I have even opened the packaging. The clearance sheet section has so many packaging that looks like someone went through them. Don't get con'd into getting the CC, the APR is above 25% that with good credit. They offer you coupons that everyone should be given, They use this Technic where they tell you they can use coupons only with a Macy's card but in actuality this coupon can be pulled up on your phone. read more

We visited Macy's Westfield Topanga Canyon store in Woodland Hills, CA on 11/24/2017. We were interested in Nespessro black Friday sale offers for Vrtuo with Aeroccino, product number 044387071352. There was a person demonstrating the product (from Nespesrro) and we were told that sale price was $162.99. When we bought the product the cashier said the vendor demo person was wrong and the sale price is actually $169.99. The same product we later found was listed online for $161.99. The cashier refused to believe that we were offered $162.99 from the vendor. The cashier was not courteous. When we tried to call the customer service, our call was disconnected three times in a row. We can hear someone picking up the phone and then disconnecting. Don't trust this store. They make false representation and take advantage of the customers. I will never shop at this Macy's and will recommend to others not to do it either. We deserve better read more

Barbara the personal stylist at this store is THE BEST! She is extremely helpful and deserves a score of a 10. She is the ONLY reason that this store is getting a 4. I just spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to leave her a message. When the operators weren't transferring me to the corporate office, which is closed today by the way, they transferred me to voicemails that did not work or to other departments who then could not, apparently, transfer me to her. Their operators are completely incompetent and should all be fired. I am almost to the point on not wanting to purchase anything from this store ever again despite being a very good client for about 40 years because of this type of horrible customer service. PLEASE just let your incoming calls me transferred to a human being at the store easily instead of to what is clearly a phone bank staffed with people who couldn't care less about doing a good job. read more

I found a suit jacket that I wanted in my size. However, being a skinny and tall guy it was almost impossible to find my size. Finally after some digging I found a suit that fit but unfortunately it was dirty so I asked the sales lady to order me a new one. The sales lady told me that it would arrive at my house on 1/12/16 but a couple of days have passed since the the 12th and there is still no word on my package. So I tried calling the store multiple times trying to track my package just to be transferred from one department to the next and when I finally reached the manager, she hung up on Me!!! At this point I was extremely frustrated so I called Macy's customer service and they told me that the item was out of stock and my order had been canceled!! Why didn't anyone try to contact me or send me an email notification?! And now on top of that my money won't be refunded until after 10 business days. I have been a Macy's customer for a long time and I am very upset about this incident. I really wish that the employees at this Macy's would try to help instead of just hanging up on their patrons. Also, I wouldnt be so upset if someone had just told me ahead of time that the item was out of stock. Avoid this place and look for another location. read more
