However, I met such a patient and welcoming associate, Janela. She helped with locating my order and identifying it was a third party item and item number was different, reason why it was not registering for return. I hope they have more associates like her. I came to buy perfume. I'm a Dior girl all day long but I smelled Marc Jacobs and wanted to step out my comfort zone. Two ladies helped me but Donna stayed with me. Her customer service skills is second to none. She's a veteran employee there over 30 years and still going strong. She introduced me to another fragrance that I'll be getting next. They were running a Christmas in July sale so that was great. I'm pleased with the value. visited the store to return an item purchased via the Macys website, customer service rep kept asking me for the UPC code and stated the item was 3rd party.... WHAT???? Macys is now amazon??? I Had the order number to no avail... customer service rep either incompetent or rude or both... I grew up in Parkchester and this Macys is a disgrace. Poor customer service, horrendous management, scarce employee knowledge bases, and awful item selection. We went and picked up about $150 worth of work clothes on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at 4pm-5pm (Parkchester, The Bronx location). The girl who worked in the Intimate section in the basement was just obnoxious and utterly rude. She had this tired and uninterested look on her face as we walked towards her cash wrap to pay for our goods. My retail spidey sense is super acute as I was in retail for years with my own brick n mortar locations. This girl did not want to help us nor did she have any interest in wanting to ring us up. She didn't have to say or do anything. It was in how she acted and responded. What is your vetting process to hire employees? Maybe it's time to hire people who really do want to work to uphold your company's core values, image, and legacy...rather than crass unrefined individuals in need of a summer paycheck. Not a good Macy's store. When I went here I was immediately unimpressed. The store is so dull looking and the selection of products they have for sale is way too small and a pure joke! My goodness. Step it up. No kind of elegance or sparkle to this store location. Just because it is located in the Bronx does not mean it has to literally look beat down and the selection be that scarce. I have to say that although parking in the area is a nightmare, I find the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, as opposed to the Cross County location, which has offered to me, many bouts of frustration. I accompanied a friend shopping for a gift for her significant other and the gentleman that assisted us was very helpful and took his time. I came here for the first time because I needed some ties. This store is smaller than most other Macy's but I was able to find two very nice ties. First tie is a Tommy Hilfiger tie retail at $65.00 but on sale at 60% off. Second tie is a Michael Kors tie also $65.00 retail and also 60% off. When I approached the cashier he was very courteous and polite he suggests I make a donation for $2.00 and receive a further 20% off of my items. I ended up paying a total of $43.00 for both ties. I was a happy camper. The older gentleman that helped me was very exceptional. He went above and beyond to satisfy his customers needs. Although this store is smaller than most other Macy's department stores, their selections are still good. I would return to this store because of their professional staff. read more

*****FOR THE FINISHLINE DEPARTMENT***** Finish line department was unattended upon my arrival and after 15 minutes of waiting finally after wondering the small department I had to ask someone else for help in which they had to radio in someone (because they had this one person working two departments) to help me. Honestly, this should NOT even be considered a Macy's. The decor dates back to the late 70's, early 80's and the selection is terrible. The sales associates are no where to be found and when you do find them to ring you up, they are super slow. It is seriously a last resort. read more

Well their summer clothes were horrible and it was such a mess before! However, now that winter is approaching they brought out better clothes and cute coats to wear fashionably for winter. Okay to purchase certain items. Do not get a gift card from here, on two occasions I was given empty gift cards even though I was charged. The only reason I found out was because the gift cards were for my mom! Never again! Imagine if it had been for a friend or distant relative, that would have been embarrassing. Also the cashier pretended like she had no idea and closed her register and THREW out the gift card. I had speak to a manager!! ( I returned in less then 20mins both times.. I live nearby. ) the first time she pretended to fix the *issue*. I went to the garbage to take out the card with the manager however I was annoyed that he wanted to look at my ID ! Like his employees were not the issue. I made a formal complaint to Macy's but never got a response. He clearly checked the cameras later on, but never again will I make a gift card purchase. read more

I went to Macy's with my husband yesterday to return a coach perfume set my mother gave me for Christmas. The boxed was open due to me testing out the smell of the perfume. I didn't care for it at all. I decided to tell my mom i love the gift but return it the next day. I called before arriving to clarify my return policy. once I arrived i meet Diana. A tall thin older woman with all white hair. She asked me what I would like today and I replied by saying I would like to exchange this gift box for a different fragrance. She gave me a look then called over Zulma. Zulma then looked at the box and asked me if I had the Black bag it came in....I told her no I received this Just like this. ( a Red shinny boy with a big red bow on it). She then looked at the box again( All the return labels with the sku number still attached to the boxes) she asked me What I wanted and I told her I would like the Ralph Lauren Set. We walked to that counter while my husband sat with the box at the coach counter. THAT'S WHEN THINGS GOT OUT OF CONTROL. While settling my details with Zulma, my husband walks over to us LIVID. He said then associate by the name NORMA started bad mouthing me while i stepped away. Norma said that 'She used the products" "Shes returning it for the money" Etc. My Husband said nothing. He wanted to see what else they do. Norma opened the box, inspected it and realized that I never even opened the other mini boxes inside the coach set. She then said "She may be returning someone else gift". My husband didn't want to cause I scene but I did. HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE SOMEONE OF THAT! I LIVE IN THE PARKCHESTER AREA. I shop here all the time but this was out of line. I spoke with the manager Carols regarding the situation and he confirmed that if the item was still in its packaging with all three return labels attached then this should have not happened. He apologies but the ladies were no where to be found. NORMA You are not professional. You need to learn some decorum. This is not how you treat your customer. We all hate returns but you are at work! You represent Macy's! This left a real sour taste in my mouth. Maybe my family and friends don't need to spend money at this Macy's if you will treat someone like a thief because They don't like an item. SHAME ON YOU! read more

The only time I'll come too this Macy's is if I'm in a hurry, most of the time I'm disappointed though. The restrooms are located near the sunglasses but on many occasions they've been out of order, which means you have to go to the basement. There's no reason why the woman should have to walk to the complete end of the store just to use the restroom, when the men's washroom is to the right as soon as you get to the basement right near the lingerie department, which doesn't make sense too me. There's never enough help in the cosmetic section so the wait can be long at times. The store isn't clean, it's extremely cluttered and very disorganized. The people in the shoe department look miserable. The dressing rooms in the lingerie department are way too hot too the point of being uncomfortable, so dress light ladies if you plan on trying things on. The last time I was in this section I needed help and there was no one in site so I decided to leave and come back 20 minutes later and still no one in site to help so I left. Shopping isn't suppose to be frustrating, it's suppose to be a pleasant experience, the kind that would make you want to come back again. I'm a regular shopper and I enjoy it good service with a smile. Whatever happened to customer service and employees that greet you when you come in. I hope this helped you. read more

this is my third visit ever to this macys in the parkchester section of the bronx and i am shocked they are still here , parking is horrible and unless you are a local you might not find this semi hidden store. it's not as big or stocked heavy as the city or burbs location but if you are looking for the basic or usual stuff then you will not be denied .i needed to pick up some queen size bed sheets that were on sale for 39.99 (reg price 79 99.)and was told this location had it still in stock and waiting for me . it's only one level so i recommend you browse the whole place which will not take long and just maybe you will find something along your journey (i did , rockport casual shoes on sale 49.99). overall a decent limited macys store that the locals still keep coming back to shop . read more

This will be my review on the MAC station. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MAC. I always go to MAC to get my makeup done for special occasions. The make up artist take there time and listen to what you want. The minimum for make up is buying $50 worth of MAC products. The make up last all night and I've never had a bad reaction to it. I just recently bought ruby woo, love it. The artist use clean utensils to put on the make up and they are always sanitizing there hands, cleanliness is a must. read more

I live in the Parkchester area so found it convenient to be able to return items I'd purchase in other Macy's locations here. I went to return a dress I purchased for $205 at The Herald Square store a week earlier. The cashier went to process the return until another sales associate told her to double check the dress to make sure it hasn't been worn. She then proceeded to discuss the fact that she believed I had worn the dress in Spanish as if I don't speak Spanish myself. When I addressed her in Spanish, she proceeded to ignore me. There was a small spot on it which had been there since I purchased the dress because I had NEVER even taken the dress out of the bag. I returned it because I found it in a different color that I liked more. The manager informed me that he could not process the return because of how "high" the price was and the fact it had appeared to be worn. I went to Manhattan and returned the dress with no problem. Best believe I will never return to this location, no matter how much closer it is. The overall customer service here has always been inadequate and it's a shame. read more

It was surprising to me that when I entered this location that I was in a Macy's. The store's appearance was messy, the floors looked dingy, and half the counters did not have a sales associate to assist customers. I went in to buy a gift card. The first counter did not have gcs!!! The associate asked me to go to the other counter which was only a few feet away. So I did. I waited and the associate was talking to another worker. I waited a few more minutes and there conversation continued. Finally, I ask if either of them can help me. The sales associate's response, "Oh, I thought you were just looking?". At this point, I was already regretting not ordering an electronic gc. I did get the gift card but they did not have the gift box the gift cards are usually placed in so I had to go to a card shop to buy one. Honestly, the service is HORRIBLE. The store does not embody the customer service or appeal that other Macy's locations have. I would never go back to this location again. I prefer to go to retail stores that I am not given an attitude because I want to purchase an item. This location seriously and desperately needs a customer service training. read more
