Shopping in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... I went to exchange a gift from my coworker and got a dress, a pair of earrings, and a pair of shoes! Either: 1. My coworker is very generous 2. The sales were really great 3. I'm a good shopper Or... all three statstatements are true! Pearlridge Center's Macy's seems to have more inventory than the Windward Mall location and is less crowded than Ala Moana Center. The environment appears more spacious and less cluttered. I looked in the LAST ACT area. There were many deals, but they were not my size... except the last dress I looked at! Yay! The workers were very friendly - especially Julius in the Women's Shoe Department. He let me try on the other side of the floor model to make sure I liked the pair. I walked around and felt alright. My Easy Exchange card had a few dollars left on it and he offered me cash so that I can get rid of the card. Thank you! That's one less thing that I have to remember! read more

The department store... Once a place that id go to find just about everything and as it has evolved with the times with rewards program and card club to join...I did none of that as I remember back in the days you need to keep countless coupons that even the sales clerk had no idea and took that roulette chance to scan and see if I'd work...I ain't got time for that and the hair salons have gone as well so that's more of a reason I'm sad. Luckily and sadly the discount stores has arrived so it's been forever since I shopped let alone bought anything from here, yes it's a place where you don't need to do the hunt and not sure if it's worth the value these days but know that it's holds many reason many want to shop here and it's great but searching for the deals here is not my idea of time spent well. I haven't been inside a Macy's store since before the pandemic not to say I haven't shopped at Macy's because I do regularly on line. A lot has changed there. I remember when they gift wrapped and you left with a beautifully wrapped present ready to gift someone. I remember when there was a checkout counter in every department and you only had to turn around and there was a salesperson right to help you...or was that Liberty House? Anyway, I really loved their kitchen department and this trip was probably the only time I've been in the store and didn't at least walk through it. I needed a gift for a man friend, wasn't quite sure what so just went in and looked through the department until I found a shirt that would be perfect for him then had to hunt down the check out station. I know stores have been parring down costs but it's really a pain to have to wander around trying to find a checkout cashier then to pay one price, higher, because I don't want to open a Macy's account (cash apparently doesn't warrant a discount) then go to customer service halfway across the store to get a gift box. Used to be the boxes were at the check out counters along with tissue to line the box....now they don't even supply a bag for your purchase unless you buy the bag. I wanted a box for my purchase and was told I could go to customer service and they would give me one..:how convenient is that? Oh well at least it was the same way I came in so into another line I went....while I was in that line a picked out a gift bag, a birthday card a six Godiva bars to give the my dining mates. read more

Well did a little Christmas shopping today at Macy's Pearlridge. I left early and it was a good call because I got there about 9:45am and the mall wasn't crowded yet . I pretty much covered all my family in one store Macy's. Especially right now Family @ Friends discount additional 30% discount. I also purchased some bath towels for my grab bag gift for my Family Christmas party . I normally buy Martha Stewart's bath towels at Macy's but according to my sister Deborah P. Martha Stewart discontinued selling her towels . These towels were the best to dry off your body nicely and you can hang it up and use it for the next day and it doesn't smell. Other brand towels have that pungent smell and also stay soaked the next day . So anyway I seen this brand Hotel Collection and I thought to buy an extra set for myself to try . Not only having that lucky grab bag person to experience it. So just to let everyone know that the regular price is at $36 for one bath towel but there's a sale of 60% off so it drops down to roughly $14 I thought I could get an additional 30% family and friends but the cashier said no only the 60%. I missed the Martha Stewart bath towel because when it was on sale it was only $7 a towel . read more

The pre black friday sales are great. I was shopping on line and saw these beautiful gift baskets made by Harry and David. I was sold the original price were at $130.00 a piece but on pre black friday sale it was $64. 00 each. What great deal. Now to pick up my order was a little frustrating I went to the car curbside pickup at the store Pearlridge and did what the sign says park in the stall and if you have g problem call the store number posted on the sign. Well I did what it said to do and couldn't get through. Did it again for the 2nd time same thing. Waited in the car and tried the 3rd time and nothing. So I had to physically go into there store to pick up my merchandise I did mention to the customer service rep that I was getting problem getting my merchandise delivered to the car and she told me maybe they had technical problems. I said well this is not the only store that I had problem with the curbside pickup. Ala moana store is also the same. I was here with an Aunt, and Uncle, and a cousin, looking for clothes to wear to a somber event. A white shirt and black pants was my intended outfit and I found both in a few minutes at the men's section. It was easy to find because the men's section is only about a tenth of the women's...Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! There's a great selection of things you can find here in store. The staff were also ever so helpful! My Uncle needed black shoes and a staff member was there to help him find his size...not to mention, give him a discount on his purchase. The store was clean and organized. You'd normally find discarded items on the floor coming from disrespectful customers, but at the time I was in the store, it was spotless! The prices were very reasonable. Apart from the already discounted price, and a further discount at the counter, what more can a person ask (short of being free! Ha-ha-ha!) This was the one place I could always depend on finding a great pair of shoes. I didn't mind driving in from town to get something I really needed. Like many folks, I have island feet which can run big and wide. The last few times I have come to Macy's over the last couple of years, I have been sadly disappointed. They barely have size 10 shoes and even rarer are wide shoes. It's quite disappointing to come to a store where I used to shop for so many things and am now just highly disappointed every time I try to get a pair of shoes. Even the associates seem rushed to get away from customers. I watched them from afar and how fast they duck behind shelving. It's just different from ten years ago. On the upside, it is a pretty clean store and the AC works well which makes it nice to shop. I guess I shall mark Macy's off my list and look for a store which sells a larger variety of shoes. read more

This location is a bit dingy and has less selection than Ala Moana... but more than Kapolei. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my experience here simply for the great customer service from Keith. He went out of his way to help me look for my shirt size on the floor and in the back. And he later ordered me a pair of pants to be delivered to my house. He clearly takes pride in his work and providing the best customer service. Wish there were associates like Keith at all of their locations. read more

I love browsing around this department store, I jist don't buy much of anything here. On the rare occasion I'll find something worth paying the price for, or catch a pretty good deal for what its worth. Otherwise, most times I feel many items are over priced. With Ross and TJ Maxx just on the opposition end of the mall, why not check out the bargains there? Before MAC and Sephora arrived in the mall, this used to be an awesome spot to find name brand makeup. But again, sometimes you could find similar items elsewhere (if you want to take the risk...). I definitely still give the store a good browsing, especially the shoe and bag sections. Clothing, I'll pass. Jewelry, er, every now and then I'll glance at the watches and some accessories. All in all, I think Macy's had its glory days. But the bargain stores definitely do give them a huge run for their money now days. read more

I hardly ever go to Macy's, but I decided to purchase perfume the other day which was about $60 because I keep getting these Macy's gift cards for X-mas. I handed 2 gift cards to this older Asian lady that was working behind the counter, and asked her to check the balances of both cards before I buy. One card had $100 and the other card had about $25. I said great and then SPECIFICALLY requested to use up the smaller GC first and then the rest on the larger GC. Instead of listening to me, she just IMMEDIATLEY ran the larger GC and handed me back both cards! She seriously pretended like she didn't hear me! She either didn't care or just couldn't be bothered (even though it was DEAD that day and i don't think my request was that outrageous)..... I should've wrote this review earlier and just ordered online.. and now I'm STILL stuck with 2 gift cards. Worst experience ever.. read more

Black friday shopping! It was so crowded and loud in this macys, every where actually. There was a huge line at the watches area and I really just wanted to check out a watch. I had to put my name down on a little roster they had and wait my turn to be called. About 15 minutes later a woman called for me and showed me what I wanted, she was very polite and didn't seem to be in a hurry like I was expecting her to be. The lighting in there was a little off though. It wouldn't matter and I wouldn't care for it unless I wanted to get a closer look at the piece of jewelry before buying. This Macy's has been here for as long as I can remember, which makes sense, I guess, since I can barely recall Liberty House in this location before. We walked into the bedding department just to kill 30 minutes while waiting for a family dinner. We were immediately greeted politely and with inviting smiles by the three workers in the department. After a couple of minutes, we were approached by one of them when he saw us taking interest in some pillows. He gave smart suggestions and helped us to decide on an upgraded selection. Then he informed us of a great sale that would start on Friday (we were there on Sunday). Of course we would wait and return but he also informed us of the option to pay in advance and we would still be able to take advantage of the sale five days in the future. We would just have to pay, leave the merchandise there, and pick it up any time after that Friday. We didn't return to pick up the pillows until Wednesday of the following week. We walked in, was greeted by one of the ladies working the day of our purchase. "Oh, you're here to pick up your pillows!" HOW did she remember?! Then she even remembered my name as well... Shopping for mister is so hard, he is super picky and I so dread shopping with him. This time around he was extra picky because he had to shop for his class reunion. So he decided first place we will check is Macy's, they change our their clothes frequently, and they have great sales. I was able to spot a great outfit instantaneously, it was all he required according to what he was looking for; dark, but no blacks or gray (check), will match his favorite shoes (check), different style, and not too youthful (check! sorta?). He doesn't like it because it's "too different". We spent a half hour in one section before he finally gives in and agrees to try on something, eventually decide to check another store. So we leave, and go to store X, and finds a top he likes, but freaks but out on the price. An hour + later, we end up back at Macy's where he got that first outfit that I picked out. This just isn't my year with Macy's. For about 10 years now, I've been an Elite member and enjoyed the cute clothes and great perks. This year, I've been to Macy's (Pearlridge, Kahala, Ala Moana, Windward) 4 times, with no luck. I ordered about $300 online, returned everything and ended up buying two tops, 1 kimono covering and 1 necklace at Eden in Love Ward for $239. The cashier at Eden in Love was so helpful and bubbly!! I was in Pearlridge Macy's but would not have known I was in a Macy's store by the salespeople's attire. I used to be in a Liberty House (before it was Macy's) buying office and the dress code was definitely different. The dress code today would not have been tolerated. C'mon; yoga pants and T-shirt, jeans and T-shirt; Croc shoes. Also stacks of help-yourself shoes? Like it used to be at Sears? Not a higher-end store that's for sure. read more

My family and I have been shopping at macys since it took over the liberty house building. This is by far the worst location, I'd rather drive an hour to Ala Moana or 30 to Kapolei before coming here. The staff is awful and so extremely rude. Whenever I want to use star points or a coupon they always make it seem like the hardest thing in the world. I've been told on multiple occasions that I can't use a coupon (that for some reason works at Ala Moana, Windward and Kahala but won't appear for them on the computer), or that it'll only take off a few cents so I shouldn't bother. I've even been told they can't look up if the item is in stock at another location, this is after driving there from Kahala where they had seen the pearl ridge location has multiple of an item I wanted in stock. I avoid coming to this macys unless I have to get a hair cut at their salon. read more

My sister had bought a pair of pants that busted on her first wear so I was chosen to be the one to take them back. I walked in the store and an employee approached me asking if I needed some help. I explained I needed to do an exchange and she directed me where I needed to go but not before asking me if I had a card and did I want to sign up for one. Made my way to the women's department and another employee asked if she could help me. I explained to her what was going on and she directed me where the pants "should be". I found the pants and proceeded to the counter to do my exchange. I didn't have the receipt however the lady was extremely friendly. She even wrapped up the new item which I kept telling her wasn't necessary but she continued on anyways. I wasn't sure what to expect but was happy with how smooth the experience went!!! What a fantastic shopping experience! This is the first time I have gone shopping since the pandemic. Brandi, in the shoe department, is THE BEST associate I have ever experienced! I had not bought shoes in years and the brand I bought was discontinued. She helped me find shoes that fit, very comfortable and ON SALE!!! She helped my sister find shoes as well! I mentioned that I needed to buy white shirts for my husband, step-son and sister. Brandi said no problem and took us to the men's and women's department. Brandi helped us find these shirts that looked like they fit great and was ON SALE!!! Brandi knew about the brands, the fabrics and what men preferred. She helped my sister find what she liked too! Now we know how celebrities feel with their personal shoppers! Who knew Macy's had associates like Brandi! She saved us time and money all for free! I really thought she was sent from heaven and when we turned around she would be gone. Nope she is real but she is an earthly angel.
