    Very inexpensive and varied menu

One of the last remaining restaurant and car hop in the upstate New York. Very fun to go to car hop and be waited on for your food. Menu is various fast food served quickly and very inexpensive. I ordered the sausage sandwich and a side of onion rings. The sausage was a nice thick patty with peppers and onions on a roll. Onion rings were a large helping of hot and tasty onion rings. No matter how busy the place seemed, the staff was able to take care of all the customers in a timely fashion. Food came out quickly and hot. Nice place for good and inexpensive food. And don't forget to order their famous Root Beer!

Gritty, old-school ambiance! "The root beer barrel on the counter still pours Richardson's root beer, just as it has since 1961"

I love this place so much. So cute and simple. Food is decent, well priced. That's not why I come though, best Diet Coke of my life. I'm from California and visit Buffalo yearly. I go out of my way to get this Diet Coke. In a chilled beer glass comes this kiss from heaven. Fries are fresh, burger not bad. Mac's come to Los Angeles, you can charge twice as much please. I will have to wait another year before I can once again enjoy this Diet Coke I fear.

What a nice Road stop. Old fashioned Prices in a real drive in with car window service. Rock n roll music. Shakes n Malts & a Philly Steak Sandwich and a red hot. (That's a Hot Dog in New York Lingo) At the back of the property there was a vintage custom car auto show. Great stop.

Hot fudge sundae with soft vanilla ice cream

I've driven by here many times but did not stop. Decided to stop with my sister. Inside they had seating but I found it to be too hot and greasy smelling from the open grills so thankfully it was a nice day and we sat outside. Our server greeted us fairly quickly and were given menus but we could also see menus that were listed inside. The prices are very reasonable. I decided on a hot dog and potato salad and hot fudge sundae for desert. The hot dog could have been cooked a little longer for my taste (should have requested that). The potato salad was very good and tasted homemade. The sundae was good but I prefer hard ice cream and they only have soft. If your looking for a quick and reasonable meal that is good give this a try. It's like picnic food.

Absolutely wonderful diner. The fish and chip dinner was delicious. The fish was nice and crispy and it came with shoestring french fries. The tartar sauce was nice. The poutine fries were wonderful. The onion rings were great. The honey buns were nice and chewy.

Stopped to try out this local drive- in favorite. The sign said "beep for service" so the servers know you're ready to order or pay your bill! Hubby and I split the Mac Special with burger (not hot dog). It was a layered dish of 2 burgers, french fries and Mac salad (macaroni salad) covered with chili. It was good but not the chili flavor or macaroni salad flavor I prefer (still good). Hubby had a milkshake that he said was just ok. (Syrup too sweet and artificial tasting). Meal was served on tray which hung from window - total retro. We loved the experience and would return for a good ole cheeseburger! Cash only.

This is my favorite restaurant ever and I feel like there are very few places that are like this place anymore and amen it still stands today as they serve the best burgers and fries

Lots of good comfort food very reasonably priced. A blast from the past! Curb service available, but never on roller skates.

You can't beat the prices for the quality and quantity of food you're getting! Will always recommend the honey buns, my favorite menu item.

Good food great prices. However, sundaes are baby sized. Still, the rest of the food was great.

There was a small sign saying too go to the bar to order food off menu, but we were fine sitting at the Bar. It was a Monday evening. Staff/Owners were friendly and attentive. Customers where friendly. We see that Alot here in your small village of Waterloo NY. We were told they smoke there own meet for pulled pork sandwich's. Make there own Homemade mac and cheese. I did not try them yet but they make there own empandas!! Everything sounded so good. I choose a philly steak sandwich. It came loaded with meat, cheese. Onions and peppers! Hot and Savoy. Bread roll was very fresh. Meat was juicy and tender. I loved it. I choose Mac and cheese for and up charge over french fries that came with the sandwich. It was not a disappointment. Hubby choose pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and coleslaw. He raved to them on how good it was! They have a drink that is marketed with an elevating ingredients. Pre packaged cans. He said they are not over powering but 2 will get your just right. He had a special license to sell them. If you know what I mean. We heard him explaining it too other custumers about the drink and they can not mix them with alcohol! You can it home but not in the bar! Needless to day we were impressed for your first visit to TK Tavern. Just goes to show your, you have too step out of your normal to find new and exciting places to dine. Simple yet enjoyable night. Thank you for making us feel comfortable at your place and new we are hooked!#

The older woman who took care of us gave us the service you would expect from going to grandmas house. It was wonderful, I miss it! The food was what you would expect. Typical diner food, but with a home cooked feel. I remember getting pancakes and bacon. It taste like home.

The place was busy and when a table is available, you seat yourself. Service was very friendly and attentive. Reason for 4th star. Worth stopping when in the area and will return, next trip to the outlets. Just no lemonade or turkey dinner! Private parking, large lot. Milk shakes oh my. Unique menu, with interesting toppings. Vanilla milk shake was excellent. Stay away from their lemonade. Very disappointed. Pepsi machine and tasted poorly. TURKEY DINNER WAS JUST OK. SIDE Salad came with the dinner. Very fresh. Next trip getting their Julienne Salad. Looked amazing. Roast Turkey Dinner - Just like Thanksgiving, Not! Oven roasted turkey breast with our homemade stuffing (don't think it was) & gravy (so, so) over it all. Served with cranberry sauce 15.99. French Fries were very good. Fried Clams - Deep fried to perfection, on a bed of lettuce served with our cocktail or tartar sauce 16.9 Was large and very good. Chicken Caesar Salad - Chilled romaine tossed with caesar dressing, parmesan cheese, croutons and topped with grilled chicken 13.99 Was extra yummy.

Long review! Ok,…read moredrinks were perfect. The house white chard I would def recommend. Wings: 10/10 crispy how they should be and it's a true mild, not spicy st all. Pulled pork sandwich: I love the vinegar base that didn't overpower but complicated the sauce. The sauce did not overpower anything. They gave the perfect amount of sauce. We opted to put the coleslaw on the side. Coleslaw: perfect amount seasoning and sweet and tart. Po boy sandwich: the seasoning was delicious. The spice crept up but on in a very slow building way that was enjoyable. My only issue, and it's why we couldn't give a 5 star in the Food category, the shrimp was a little too salty. But because of the base seasoning, we ate the shrimp anyway (its base seasoning is so so good!!!).The roll was a white French roll, not toasted which I didn't mind at all. The All American Classic cheeseburger: He requested medium well, and the burger was cooked exactly as requested. So no worries if you prefer a medium burger. The veggies were fresh and condiments on the burger was the perfect amount. Friendly staff. The gentleman who greeted us could tell we weren't sure where to sit, pointed us for two options of seating. The young lady who helped us towards the end was friendly and attentive, but not over attentive where it makes you feel weird. When we left, everyone said goodbye! I've never had that happen and it was such a pleasant surprise! Overall: if you come thru the area (my military peeps you know you looking for an area to visit!), stop here. Great people, yummy food, and friendly people who couldn't be more welcoming. OH ! The TV we're playing spots (of course it's a pub!) but one tv was playing Wonder Woman 2. I really appreciated having something else to watch. So did my daughter.
