My grandniece along with about 13 other people went to the Crab House to celebrate her birthday. Our waitress was kind and did the best job of accommodating our party. The problem came when we were presented a receipt for the meal. The total of my meal was $19.44. A tip of $11.66 was add. Another person in our group had a $45 tip added to her meal. My niece had a tip of over $50 added to her receipt. We brought this to the attention of the cashier. They made the adjustments, but my nephew left early. He was charged a 30% tip. Unfortunately I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. Last time I got food at this restaurant my order was incorrect. I had to drive back to the restaurant to correct my order. When I was at the restaurant, the restaurant owner was very skeptical that an item had been left out and insinuated I was lying. Later the cook confirmed he had forgotten to add one meal to my order. Additionally, this restaurant is not have good allergy practices. One meal in my order was to be egg free due to an allergy. I called the restaurant and left a note on the form that the meal was for someone with an egg allergy. I was assured the food would come without an egg however once it came there were two eggs in the bag. I didn't even bother to fix the order due to the worst service from the first ordeal. I am so shocked how this restaurant has gone down with customer service. My friend Shwonder and her family went out last night 4/13/24 to enjoy a family night out and received poor customer service along with salty food. The music was so loud and staff were the worst. Now I knew about all the hollin they be doing and getting on the tables dancing while singing happy birthday but some of that other stuff I couldn't believe my ears. On top of that, her card was charged 31.21(20%) more for a tip she did not authorize. She showed me her bank account and the receipt. People think they deserve a tip even when service is not up to par. Not so! This is fraud!! Watch your receipts people. I told her next time she should go right up the road a little further to Red Claw, and hopefully, she will have a better experience. I haven't been here in a few years myself and don't even feel the need to return any time soon after hearing this and going back to read some of their most recent reviews of poor service. read more

When she brought the food out she handed me garlic butter mild with ONE cluster. I told her it was fine i would still eat it she can take off the other cluster i didn't receive. The assistant manager was pulling THE CAMERA footage didn't even come out to talk to us or anything then SCREAMED at our server for taking it off for us because she knew what was right. While traveling through Georgia we stopped in macon to spend the night. We got to the macon crab shack at 9:20 on a sunday night when they were scheduled to close at 10. Even though it was empty they still let us sit to eat! We were extremely grateful and even more so when the food came out! Our crawfish and crab boils were AMAZING. Another adventure with seafood in a bag... This is now one of my favorite spots for crab legs in a bag! The seasoning was just right. I had the Macon Crab Special with a medium spice. The bag included snow crab legs, corn and potatoes. We ordered boiled eggs on the side. The service was a little slow but our waitress Sabrina was amazing! We got there about 7pm and didn't leave until 930pm. I will definitely be going back here! Oh forgot to mention, had the Ciroc punch drink. I went there with two friend. I stood at the host desk and wait...and waited...and waited. Some one finally came out and said they were bussing tables and it would about five minutes. More people came in and were waiting. No one came out, then someone finally came and said it would now be 10-20 wait. People who had orders to pick up were left waiting as well. The phone kept ringing, no one would answer it. After about 30 minutes of us waiting, we finally finally left. I would not recommend at all. The staff doesn't seem to care. read more

Would have been nice to know before we dressed and traveled to location. The girl that took our order at the door was less than happy to see us; Stood back from the table on her side of the "window" and asked us to repeat the order. We asked if she could text us when it was ready as we wanted to wait in the car. (Four cars in parking lot, and we told her we were parked right at the door.)
