There is a reason they only take cash & It's because they're so good they can. Mine was loaded by my choice with light mayo, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed sweet peppers, hot peppers, and sautéed green peppers with sharp provolone and some shredded lettuce on a perfectly soft and toasted chewy bun. It's not exactly around the corner for me so it took a while to get there, but I would say it was worth the drive. My dining buddy and I started with two cheesesteaks. One with whiz and the other with Cooper Sharp. Both of them were terrific and made exactly to order. We also ordered a medium french fry and onion rings. The onion rings were good, but came out a little more well done that I am used to. The fries were fantastic --- extremely good and very fresh. They actually tasted like potato, which is not a given with french fries from most places today. We also had two fountain drinks, and that was fine. Service is good, food came out fast. This place is not cheap, but the quality is definitely there. As for a realistic cheesesteak compared to a Philly cheesesteak, I'd say it's close but not precise, the roll was fresh but not today fresh and the seasoning was good but not Philly good. Definitely hits the spot! So far, these are the best cheesesteaks. I've had in the Tampa Bay area since moving here years ago, and I expect Delco's will be hard to beat down here. Highly recommended

It has a friendly neighborhood vibe, with easy street-parking and a dogs-allowed enclosed patio. We call it Sandy Feet :-) The fried grouper sandwich was very good and reasonably priced. And they'll cook your catch. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They have a full bar, too. And weekend live music. We just never drove down their little street before! It's right by the bike path . You could probably say it's hidden gem, because we would have never found it without our friend tipping us off. Well, now you have been tipped, too :-)

A family operation, Mom and Dad are the cooks, working the kitchen. Their young adult children work side by side waiting tables, tending bar, washing dishes... My personal fav, the fish tacos. Hearty seasoned filets wrapped in a warm tortilla, topped with a fresh homemade picante and chipotle sauce on the side. Throw in their own special recipe (not out of a box) rice and beans and it's a plate full. And a value too. For American fare, their burgers and fish and chips are tops! Can't say enough about this hard working family making a go of their restaurant dream. Don't go for the atmosphere. Go for a culinary (value) experience.
