I am always on the lookout for a good Boba place closer to home, so while out doing errands, I Googled what was around me at the time. I found Bee's Boba was just across the street in the many shops and restaurants within the Plaza. The shop is on the corner and small but looked inviting while approaching with a menu board outside. Entering, there were three tables, two of which had other patrons already at. I took my time reviewing the menu of the Boba options and also saw that they offered a few other food options as well. I asked for suggestions on what would go well with different options but went with my favorite, tried, and true as I figured it would tell me the quality of the Boba tea. I stopped at Bee's to grab some boba to try as my sister has previously raved about Bee's. Everything about the experience was great. The inside itself was cutely decorated with bee decor. The owner was so nice, she let me choose what I wanted and let me know how long it would take. I was so excited to see they had mango sticky rice, it is one of my favorite desserts. I was so elated, I even ordered the taro boba tea. Tell me why it is the best I've ever tried, compared to Ha long bay. Not overly sweet, just right. The drinks definitely have a honey taste to them I assume that's the reason it's called "bee's" boba. I enjoyed the flavor, and wasn't expecting it. Everyone was super friendly here and we were able to eat inside -- it's a tiny place so I'd suggest getting your order to go. They have a ton of options for boba too. I am very basic and just stick to what I know. But they had a lot of tea, milk tea, etc to choose as well as diff types of boba pearls. Otherwise, we got poke bowls, dumplings, and seaweed salad. The woman at that was working was the sweetest lady and so patient as I tried to figure out what to get my husband (he got the strawberry tea slushie). They're tucked back in the shopping center near the hotel and next to the Thai restaurant. Today I tried two drinks- a basic black tea and boba drink, and a mango fruit tea with dragonfruit popping boba. They are both delicious. And, attention vegans or lactose intolerant people: they offer several types of non-dairy milk to choose from! That made my day. Oat milk just tastes more like the real thing and makes these drinks creamy and delicious, so I was glad to see it in their fridge. I love trying ethnic, culinary creations that are new to me. Bee's Boba made that happen. I'm already a fan of Vietnamese coffee. From my perspective it's incredibly fantastic. But Bee's Boba allowed me to take that to the next level. I ordered my coffee with boba "poppers". They are like boba beads. However, instead of being like solid tapioca ball bearings, they are tapioca shells filled with pockets of flavored syrup. This way when you bite one, they pop with a flavor burst. I went for it & ordered my Vietnamese coffee with Dragonfruit poppers. I can usually tell in advance when something is going to taste great. In this case I really didn't know. Once I tried it however, it was love at first bite...& 2nd bite...& 3rd bite. I wouldn't be surprised if I get addicted to ordering this. However, next time I'm at Bee's Boba, I want to try one of their numerous flavored boba teas. A steady flow of patrons was ordering them. So yes, I'm ready to return. One other thing to mention...the woman working there (who I suspect is the owner) was so nice & friendly & helpful & caring. I can't judge the food because I didn't order food but only the boba drink. The place is called Boba and thought at least hoping they would focus on their drink. No flavor. I thought it's Boba Taro milk tea. I asked for 75% sweet. This taste like it was 5% sweet with just boba balls and two table spoons of taro powder. I didn't taste even a splash of milk or cream in there. I wouldn't return. So disappointed it was like watered down. The boba balls had more flavor to it. read more
