I truly feared all of my files were gone forever. Wedding pictures, baby photos, and vacations we'd taken over the years. Plus all my music and video files. Adam and the Nerd Rangers saved almost everything for me on a 5TB drive. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable. I'd called a couple services that would have needed me to mail off the drive and they quoted me much higher rates as their minimums. I'm so glad I found Nerd Rangers. They're local and kept me updated every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks again guys!

They ran their tests, charged me a fee and could not replicate the failure. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. Later that day he reached out to let me know that he believes he found the reason the game crashed (as it did for him) and he felt confident that he fixed the issue. When I went to pick up the computer he reassured me that if for some reason the fix didn't work he would continue to work with me to identify the problem. Happy to report that I've run multiple games with zero crashes and everything is running fine. The level of service, detailed questions and customer care was excellent. Thanks Adam!

DPC Computer Repair to the rescue again!…read more I got tripped up when upgrading my laptop computer to Windows 10, version 1903. After the upgrade, I got a message that the Intel driver for the hard disk needed to be updated. An update was available online but some people were reporting that it would not install correctly if the previous version of the driver were was still there. So, in preparation for the driver update, I renamed the existing driver (rather than removing it). After doing this, I rebooted the laptop so I could install new driver - at least that's what I intended to do. Since I had renamed the existing driver, Windows couldn't find it and therefore couldn't access the hard disk and therefore the computer could not boot up - not even to safe mode. DPC Computer Repair to the rescue. I took my laptop to Adam. He worked his magic - he got the laptop to boot, completed the v1903 install and applied all the available updates. Voila! I now have a functioning and updated laptop computer Again, if you're looking for a computer repair business in the Naperville area, I highly recommend DPC Computer Repair. They are easy to work with and do very good work.

I took it to DPC after driving by the store and then looking at the reviews. Adam was great when we first spoke over the phone and so I brought it in to the shop. Such a rare thing to overcommunicate. Will definitely be taking my PC's to DPC when I need help!!

He is professional. He is friendly. HE is VERY knowledgable. He removed the center monitor from my three screen set up. He replaced it with a new top of the line Lenovo with windows 11, a built in webcam, etc. He loaded Windows 11, reconfigures the three monitor setup. He cheked it all out to ensure everything was working perfectly. We said goodbye and he went his way. Then...the next day he sent me an eMail just to confirm that everything was still working 100%--(which is was, and still is). Whenever I need onsite tech services I never consider calling anyone other than My Computer Guy. Doesn't that sound like a seven on the five-point scale? Yeah, I thought so too.

I learned that my internet comes in from the outside, to my router, to a switch, and then to the access points throughout the house. This is the setup for businesses, colleges, etc, and not really for the home users (which must be why Lennar changed to a different setup now). For the most part, it would work seamlessly, however, once every few months, something would go wrong and it would take me a day or two (of luck) to get it running away. I was sick of it and wanted a system more like a home user even if that meant a downgrade with how it worked. I contacted My Computer Guy for an SOS, and he replied immediately. He asked for more details about what I could let me know and we made an appointment a few days later due to my schedule. On the day of, My Computer Guy showed up and was very polite, proper, and professional. Also, ironically, my internet/wifi died after our initial conversation. If Tom had one goal, it was to, at least, get my wifi back. Happy wifi, happy wife, and then I have a happy life. We both headed to the basement so he could troubleshoot the issues. To me, it was just a bunch of wires connecting somewhere, someplace. He figured it out right away and started to troubleshoot the system. He would share some tips to improve my wifi/internet. After about 30 minutes, give or take, he found the problem, fixed the problem, and helped me install a normal user-friendly wifi system. Also, he gave me some recommendations to improve the overall system and helped me set it up. Overall, I would rate this business an A+. Friendly, professional, prompt, and very knowledgeable. Will continue to contact in the future for other IT-related issues and more.
