Just wanted to share our experience working with Macbet Pool Company during the plaster phase of our owner-built pool--and it was a great one! From the start, Betsy was fast to respond, professional and a HUGE help in narrowing down the right PebbleTec shade we had in mind for that perfect resort-style look. She had a lot of great insight and her recommendation to add shell for extra sparkle was spot-on. You can truly see the shimmer in the sun under the water--exactly the effect we were hoping for! If I had to mention one small hiccup, it's that a small crack appeared on one of our spa tiles in our overflow section during the process--something we confirmed wasn't there prior thanks to a video I had taken shortly before pebble (for a different grout related issue that I had wanted to show my husband). Betsy acknowledged this isn't typical and never happens when they work, but to her credit, she assured us they'd keep us on their list to come back and replace it (as we have extra tile) when they're next in the Murrieta area. We appreciated her accountability and look forward to the fix! All in all, my husband and I are very pleased with the quality of their work and how the finish turned out. The PebbleTec color really brings the entire look of our pool together! I'll be sure to update this review to a full 5 star once they return to swap out the cracked tile--but for now, we're genuinely happy customers. Highly recommend Macbet Pool Company to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and attentive team! read more

Betsy and her team at Macbet were great. She was very helpful with things along the way including giving design advice. The prices were fair. She was always in touch and responsive to questions and came out to inspect the work as it was done. We did a full pool renovation, added a gas line and gas fire pit, an L shaped bbq island and they stained the cement. Her team was professional. Any issues along the way were addressed. Betsy and team at Macbet came highly recommended from a contractor. They did a fantastic job with our pool, deck, hoop, and outdoor shower at reasonable pricing in Orange County. After permits were approved, the job was finished in a little over 2 months, often working weekends with permission. Communication was excellent and helped make the job smooth. Remodeling anything is stressful and a pool is no exception, with minor and major bumps along the way Betsy and her team provided excellent communication and reassurance. They came highly recommended from another colleague and i'm glad we did our homework. If you prefer small businesses we recommend using Macbet. Customer service was on spot and when you are spending any amount of money, you want to make sure you are heard and have correct explanations for where your money goes. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn't get everything we wanted but what we did get, ended up looking amazing! Thank you to Macbet for helping us navigate this journey! read more

We had such a great experience working with Betsy and her team. From the first time we met, their knowledge and experience was evident and they had great suggestions to accommodate our desires and wishes for our pool. Communication was great throughout the construction process. Betsy did a great job of keeping us up to date each step of the way. One of the greatest benefits is that they don't sub out any work (with the expedition of the engineering plans)...they have their own architect to draw up the plans, and have their own crews for everything else. So there is no waiting on the schedules of other sub-contractors to complete work. As a result, Betsy and her crew stayed true to their timeline...even with a huge concrete shortage! From the point we broke ground, to putting water in our pool, was under 7 weeks! Macbet also stayed true to their contract and budget. Once the contract was signed, there were no more additional costs. The payments are made upon the completion of each step along the way. Overall, we had a great experience. We would certainly recommend Macbet to anyone looking to build a pool. Our family loves our pool and we will continue to enjoy it for years to come! read more

At first, we were thinking about building our own pool and had hired MacBet to help us out with part of the project. Little did we know that when Betsy showed up at our door our world was about to change and for the better! Her radiant smile, positive attitude and professional knowledge wowed us instantly! Believe you me we did a ton of research and read reviews before making this huge life altering decision. We decided to let MacBet handle the entire project. It turned out to be one of the best choices we made for our home! Betsy's professionalism, attention to detail, and knowledge made the whole process go smoothly and quickly. The tireless work, hand holding, thorough follow up, and amazing timeline - from start to finish made what had been initially a burden and complex task to a weight lifted off our shoulders. Betsy & MacBet are a joy a blessing and answer to our prayer. I cannot give enough praise to how beautiful and wonderful our backyard looks . They transformed it into our own oasis with that luxury feel ;) will post pics) MacBet worked tirelessly, kept us informed every step of the way, and stuck to the timeline perfectly. My pool was about 30 years old and the concrete foundations were cracking and starting to crumble. It was time to remodel. I did my due diligence and researched all pool remodelers in the Inland Empire area. Based on a combination of location and user reviews, I settled on about a dozen companies. I called, interviewed, and collected cost estimates. Weighing all of my options kept pointing to Macbet Pool as the best choice. I have to say now that my conclusions were correct. Macbet Pool was the best choice. For starters, Betsy is a great person to work with personally. She is highly friendly and informative. She's also very frank about what needs to be done and the costs. Some people seem to inflate their costs, and some seem to hide their costs with overly optimistic remodel estimates. Betsy's estimates were very competitive. Most importantly, those estimates turned out to be the actual costs in the end. She was competitive and honest in her price estimates from start to finish. The next benefit with Betsy and Macbet Pool is that they set a very compact and reliable work schedule. You can count on her timetables. No delays or scheduling errors on her part. The delays and scheduling errors were actually on my part. She was very gracious in handling them. Finally, the workers themselves were really topnotch people. They did their work in a very professional manner. They were very courteous, communicable, and highly efficient. They knew what they were doing. The finished pool is more than I expected. My entire family loves the completed work. Those 30 years of aging concrete and tile were replaced with a bright, clean, modern looking pool. I would recommend Macbet Pool without reservation to anyone looking to remodel. It was a great experience for me. RN read more

We used MacBet Pools to remodel our pool, deck, patio, and retaining wall. We are very happy with the end results. Our experience working with Betsy and crew was also good. We hired Betsy and her team with Macbet Pool to build our "spool" and wall at our house. We are very familiar with construction and from our experience, they are the best of the best in terms of quality of work, reliability, and communication. There was always clear communication on timelines and project milestones. And the quality of work was amazing. Daniel and his team are amazing at what they do. I also appreciate their overall demeanor and customer service approach. End to end I think we landed at about 9 weeks to completion and we had some setbacks from our own sewer issues that were delays of our own doing. Highly recommend them. read more

We are so pleased with this pool company. Our original pool was build 18 years ago with a medium grey. The pool was still in great shape, because of the original pool company, but the grey had faded terribly. Since we had such good luck with our first pool builder I called him to get references on companies to re-plaster. He uses this company and gave me the number to Macbet Pools. So many pluses to this company and we're so glad we picked them. Since they have their own equipment your pool isn't contracted out and isn't sitting for days between processes. There's absolutely no excuse for that. Our pool was done in four days with a high quality pebble tech finish. That's also counting the draining of the pool and refilling it. 1st day to drain 2nd day demolition 3rd day re-plaster with pebble tech 3rd and 4th day refilling the pool DONE! Every other company told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks to finish. Meaning it would have been sitting for days between processes with no work being done. Another plus was Macbet Pools was $2,000 cheaper. Since they have their own equipment they don't have to contract anything out. NO middle man. I thought if my original pool builder used them they'd be great! They didn't disappoint! Great price with quality work. Can't beat that. read more

My husband and I started searching for pool companies to remodel our backyard. I had interviewed three. When I met Betsy and she saw my vision and understood everything I needed and wanted, that was it! We were Slotted for January but a cancellation came up in October which we were super excited about. And the next seven weeks or so awesome, I can't even tell you. They always knew what we wanted and made sure we even upgraded. We did have a few issues with our retaining wall but with Betsy's suggestions, they were the best and we are extremely happy and pleased with our end results. So super happy with Macbet Pools I cannot give them any more praise than i already have. Come by and see the success of their finished product. We love Macbet Pools and every employee, especially Greg! read more

We put in our pool last fall (2022). Someone in our community recommended them, but we got four other bids just as a point of comparison. When we met with Betsy and her team, we immediately felt excited, but also at ease. Our gut told us we wanted to go with them, but as other bids came back we started to feel we might not be able to afford them. As soon as the bid came back, our choice was set. Macbet and one other company came back at a similar cost. The other companies were at least 10k more for the exact same plan. Aside from our gut feeling of trusting them with our project, another factor that swayed us was that they do not subcontract the work, and they work one project at a time, from beginning to end. That meant the timeline was going to be relatively fast. They started digging on August 22 and we filled our pool in mid-October. That was even after a couple hiccups with the city along the way. At our final inspection, the city requested some reinforcement of our existing fence to ensure it wouldn't blow over if we ever got a category 4 hurricane (!!). It was really stressful for us to go backward and find someone to do that work, but Macbet came to the rescue. They drew up an architectural plan for the fence (not even within their typical scope), did the reinforcement work, and communicated with the city for us every step of the way. We couldn't be happier with the final result. I have no reservations at all in recommending them to anyone. We have already provided them as a reference to several friends. read more

After twenty five years I had my pool renovated. I was so happy when a friend told me about Macbet Pools Inc. After meeting with Betsy I knew I had the right company, finally. Pool was replastered with pebble coat. New Baja shelf redesigned after having to remove previous companies attempt at one. Dual drains added which are safety feature. The handrails I had wanted from the beginning, Macbet was able to do. Auto water fill was added after they asked if I wanted one. Yes! I just hadn't thought of it No more turning water on to bring level up and then forgetting to turn it off and flood yard. They were so professional, neat and clean with all work done. The pool was finished in about two weeks. Sooner than I had expected. I love it. Everything they did was perfect and they were such a pleasure to work with. My only regret. That I did not find them sooner. I would highly recommend Macbet Pools to everyone and I would use them again. I was blessed to find them and have them do my pool renovation. And I can't say enough when it comes to Betsy. She is so kind and thoughtful. She helped me so much. Thank you MACBET POOLS. Kelly A. Osborne read more

Betsy and Manny and the crew did an incredible job on a full remodel of our huge 1950s pool. It needed everything. Full demolition, re-plumbing (adding 2nd drain to be up to current code) new skimmer, added a heater. Concrete coping, new tile, and a pebbletech finish. They added a couple benches with umbrella holders. The pool is amazing. When we got into the project, we also had them demo our concrete pool deck, after installing proper drainage. We had huge rains this winter and the drainage was absolutely perfect. Our new concrete deck is fantastic. I was lucky to see their truck drive by when we were getting bids. They came in with a great price and all premium work and options. They work super clean and quick and precisely. I would absolutely use them again, but I think we are set for the next 30 years. From the initial consultation to the final touches, Betsy and her crew were always ready and willing to do an excellent job. All expectations and costs were clearly detailed. This was the only company willing to quote when the day they would start and complete the project, all within four days of breaking ground. They also promised and delivered a start time within one week of contract signing. And the pricing was fair and competitive. LONG overdue review, but at least I know that their work is still great!! Betsy was a joy to work with from a business and personal perspective. We met with 3 other companies to take on our project which included tearing out our existing deck, redoing the coping and redoing the pool surface/tile work. Betsy truly has an eye for this and came up with a few ideas that no one else suggested. They actually ended up being the most affordable bid too! She came prepared with samples and was very patient with us in the process. Greg and his crew were fast, meticulous and communicative during our month-long process. Betsy was readily available for questions via phone/text and she stopped in at least weekly. We ended up adding on a few items during the process by choice (auto-fill, overflow, new skimmer and new lights) and only had one item (resolving some bad draining which we had a feeling would happen) that added onto the original bid. We also changed from a quartz aggregate plaster to mini pebble tech and Betsy was sweet enough to add in a few things without charge (say hello sparkly glass and abalone shell)!!! I doubt many other companies would do this. I highly recommend Macbet and all of us were sad to see Betsy go (including our two year old daughter who loved Betsy!). read more

Macbet Pools did an amazing job on our pool which was completely redone with a pebble tech finish and new stone and tile around the edges. We have since refereed Macbet to several other friends and two have had their pools done by Macbet within the past 6 months.
