Just wanted to share our experience working with Macbet Pool Company during the plaster phase of our owner-built pool--and it was a great one! From the start, Betsy was fast to respond, professional and a HUGE help in narrowing down the right PebbleTec shade we had in mind for that perfect resort-style look. She had a lot of great insight and her recommendation to add shell for extra sparkle was spot-on. You can truly see the shimmer in the sun under the water--exactly the effect we were hoping for! If I had to mention one small hiccup, it's that a small crack appeared on one of our spa tiles in our overflow section during the process--something we confirmed wasn't there prior thanks to a video I had taken shortly before pebble (for a different grout related issue that I had wanted to show my husband). Betsy acknowledged this isn't typical and never happens when they work, but to her credit, she assured us they'd keep us on their list to come back and replace it (as we have extra tile) when they're next in the Murrieta area. We appreciated her accountability and look forward to the fix! All in all, my husband and I are very pleased with the quality of their work and how the finish turned out. The PebbleTec color really brings the entire look of our pool together! We had such a great experience working with Betsy and her team. My pool was about 30 years old and the concrete foundations were cracking and starting to crumble. It was time to remodel. I did my due diligence and researched all pool remodelers in the Inland Empire area. Based on a combination of location and user reviews, I settled on about a dozen companies. I called, interviewed, and collected cost estimates. Weighing all of my options kept pointing to Macbet Pool as the best choice. I have to say now that my conclusions were correct. Macbet Pool was the best choice. For starters, Betsy is a great person to work with personally. She is highly friendly and informative. She's also very frank about what needs to be done and the costs. Some people seem to inflate their costs, and some seem to hide their costs with overly optimistic remodel estimates. Betsy's estimates were very competitive. Most importantly, those estimates turned out to be the actual costs in the end. She was competitive and honest in her price estimates from start to finish. The next benefit with Betsy and Macbet Pool is that they set a very compact and reliable work schedule. You can count on her timetables. No delays or scheduling errors on her part. We are so pleased with this pool company. Our original pool was build 18 years ago with a medium grey. The pool was still in great shape, because of the original pool company, but the grey had faded terribly. Since we had such good luck with our first pool builder I called him to get references on companies to re-plaster. He uses this company and gave me the number to Macbet Pools. So many pluses to this company and we're so glad we picked them. Since they have their own equipment your pool isn't contracted out and isn't sitting for days between processes. There's absolutely no excuse for that. Our pool was done in four days with a high quality pebble tech finish. That's also counting the draining of the pool and refilling it. 1st day to drain 2nd day demolition 3rd day re-plaster with pebble tech 3rd and 4th day refilling the pool DONE! Every other company told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks to finish. Meaning it would have been sitting for days between processes with no work being done. Another plus was Macbet Pools was $2,000 cheaper. Since they have their own equipment they don't have to contract anything out. NO middle man. I thought if my original pool builder used them they'd be great! They didn't disappoint! Great price with quality work. Can't beat that. read more

We put in our pool last fall (2022). Someone in our community recommended them, but we got four other bids just as a point of comparison. When we met with Betsy and her team, we immediately felt excited, but also at ease. Our gut told us we wanted to go with them, but as other bids came back we started to feel we might not be able to afford them. As soon as the bid came back, our choice was set. Macbet and one other company came back at a similar cost. The other companies were at least 10k more for the exact same plan. Aside from our gut feeling of trusting them with our project, another factor that swayed us was that they do not subcontract the work, and they work one project at a time, from beginning to end. That meant the timeline was going to be relatively fast. They started digging on August 22 and we filled our pool in mid-October. That was even after a couple hiccups with the city along the way. At our final inspection, the city requested some reinforcement of our existing fence to ensure it wouldn't blow over if we ever got a category 4 hurricane (!!). It was really stressful for us to go backward and find someone to do that work, but Macbet came to the rescue. They drew up an architectural plan for the fence (not even within their typical scope), did the reinforcement work, and communicated with the city for us every step of the way. We couldn't be happier with the final result. I have no reservations at all in recommending them to anyone. We have already provided them as a reference to several friends. read more

After twenty five years I had my pool renovated. I was so happy when a friend told me about Macbet Pools Inc. After meeting with Betsy I knew I had the right company, finally. Pool was replastered with pebble coat. New Baja shelf redesigned after having to remove previous companies attempt at one. Dual drains added which are safety feature. The handrails I had wanted from the beginning, Macbet was able to do. Auto water fill was added after they asked if I wanted one. Yes! I just hadn't thought of it No more turning water on to bring level up and then forgetting to turn it off and flood yard. They were so professional, neat and clean with all work done. Betsy and Manny and the crew did an incredible job on a full remodel of our huge 1950s pool. It needed everything. Full demolition, re-plumbing (adding 2nd drain to be up to current code) new skimmer, added a heater. Concrete coping, new tile, and a pebbletech finish. They added a couple benches with umbrella holders. The pool is amazing. When we got into the project, we also had them demo our concrete pool deck, after installing proper drainage. We had huge rains this winter and the drainage was absolutely perfect. Our new concrete deck is fantastic. I was lucky to see their truck drive by when we were getting bids. They came in with a great price and all premium work and options. They work super clean and quick and precisely. I would absolutely use them again, but I think we are set for the next 30 years. LONG overdue review, but at least I know that their work is still great!! Betsy was a joy to work with from a business and personal perspective. We met with 3 other companies to take on our project which included tearing out our existing deck, redoing the coping and redoing the pool surface/tile work. Betsy truly has an eye for this and came up with a few ideas that no one else suggested. They actually ended up being the most affordable bid too! She came prepared with samples and was very patient with us in the process. Greg and his crew were fast, meticulous and communicative during our month-long process. Betsy was readily available for questions via phone/text and she stopped in at least weekly. We ended up adding on a few items during the process by choice (auto-fill, overflow, new skimmer and new lights) and only had one item (resolving some bad draining which we had a feeling would happen) that added onto the original bid. We also changed from a quartz aggregate plaster to mini pebble tech and Betsy was sweet enough to add in a few things without charge (say hello sparkly glass and abalone shell)!!!
