Yesterday I dropped off my winter clothing (sweaters, jackets, etc.) to Mac Arthur cleaners. They told me to come pick it up the next day. I went to pick up my clothes and was asked to pay instantly. I asked to check my clothes first and then I will pay. However, when I started to check my clothes for damages, the lady sheepishly came from the back with my sweater in hand saying "I want to show you something". I was confused as she showed me, my banana republic sweater, that my wife gifted to me for my birthday a few months back, with big huge holes on the front part. I was bewildered and demanded to know how could this happen. She said maybe you don't get your clothes dry cleaned enough to know that this is normal. Mind you, I regularly get my clothes ( especially sweaters) dry cleaned and very well know that this is not normal. On top of that when I asked the lady that am I supposed to wear this sweater like this, she suggested "yes, no one will notice". I demanded that I will not pay for my damaged sweater and she snatched my clothes from me, and told me she will call the cops on me. I was so agitated and thought this was not worth my time, so I paid them and left. Honestly, they didnt even feel sorry, and on top of that blamed me that maybe I gave them a ripped sweater to be dry cleaned. Why would someone get a ripped sweater dry cleaned??? I would highly suggest everyone to steer clear of this business. Their cheap prices may entice you but it's not worth getting your expensive clothes ripped. read more

In September of 2009, it occurred to me that I have been going to MacArthur Dry Cleaners for the past 10 years. What you need to understand is that I am very particular about customer service and consistency. And these guys are both! If you get you order in before 9am, it's done by 5pm. These folks are fantastic, excellent service, super friendly, very fast turnaround times. They are miracle workers, best tailor we have ever used, and superb dry cleaning service too. We have been using them for 3 years since we moved to Las Colinas and will never go anywhere else. Many times we have asked for complicated alterations to pants, shirts, jackets, etc., and they always make it happen. We recently moved to Valley Ranch and this cleaner service was recommended by a neighbor via NextDoor. I've been very happy. The woman who runs the place is always very nice to me and finds some reason to compliment me each time I come in, whether it's my hair, my clothing choice for the day or the fact that I've recently been losing weight. I've been happy with the prices as well. We tried another local cleaners prior to going to MacArthur Cleaners and I had sticker shock there. The prices are competitive and the service is very nice. I went to this place today and the lady who works here is extremely rude. I asked the lady what the price was for dry-cleaning and she told me the price but I did not understand. So I asked again the price and she kept on repeating $4.99.. $4.99... $4.99. I asked her if she was okay and she was very rude. I asked for her supervisor or owner's number and she told me that the owner is in Korea and she cannot give any information. She also threatened me that she was going to call cop and I asked her I will wait till cop arrives. After sometimes, she ask me to leave. I have never faced this type of customer service and not sure how they run a business like this. Very poor service and I will never recommend this to anyone. read more

Big mistake of going to this place. Gave my new dress brought 3 months back. The label clearly says "dry cleaning" only. Don't know what they hell they did to my dress. The whole dress is routined. When I spoke to the front lady about my dress, extremely rude and no respect for the customers. Was not ready to help me out in any way. She suggested to go to the store and return the dress, saying it's store's fault. Seriously !!!! Spoke to the owner gave $20 instead of $46.00 the actual amount of the dress. Did not return the laundry $ and claimed that she can fix my dress as she does very good alterations. So after 2 months I went to pick up my dress and still the same, returned my dress without alteration, didn't pay the actual money that I paid for the dress. I think 1 star is also too much for them. Not sure where those with the bad reviews went, but it sure wasn't this cleaners, the ladies here are always polite, courteous and helpful. Great service, they even hem pants for a reasonable fee. Worst customer service ever.... I gave my suit for dry cleaning and informed her that it is important to have it cleaned nicely because I was going to take it for a business trip. She said yes to everything in that "stupid" fake smile she always gives her customers and charged me more(close to $15) I was in a hurry n did not care about the price nor did I check my suit while picking it up. Later, I found out that the buttons were sewn wrongly( they did not match the button holes). When I took that back she gave me one of her "I don't care" looks and showed me some attitude and started shouting when I asked for an explanation. Later, she just went inside saying nothing. I asked for her manager and she did not care. A customer showed up by that time and when I demanded an explanation she asked me not to shout just to show off in front of that other customer. I was getting my clothes dry cleaned by them for more than 2 1/2 years now and all that never mattered to her. She was not even ready to accept her mistake and take care of it. I joined yelp just so I could give this place a negative review. I am a waitress and pride myself on my manners to anyone I deal with on a daily basis. I picked up my clothes and she told me 13.50 (for 3 mens shirts and an apron) which is a few dollars more than I expected. I askee her if she could make sure that was correct and she said I justwork here I dont make the prices and I said I uunderstandbut it seems a bit high. I am not questioning the prices, just the amount I was charged it seems high. She started shouting at my and I asked her if she was alright that I wasnt mad I am just making sure that I am paying for the right thing. What they don't tell you is they jack up the original price. 4.99 for a shirt. I called the owner and asked her, "how much do you charge to dry clean pants?" She said, "2.79". Okay, I said, because you charged me too much. You charged me 4.99. She then tells me the price goes up for four items or more but I get a 40 percent off discount. SCAM ARTISTS. Very rude ... have no sense of customer service ... they are not getting any more of my money

I just moved to town so I figured I'll pick something close by. People on facebook recommended MacArthur cleaners. The lady at the place was nice enough, she decided to shortened my name on her own accord, after she has seen me once, dry cleaning service was fine. I also had some clothes to alter, and that didn't go so well. The zipper I had replaced fell apart the day after, and the dress they hemmed is still to long, even tho I wore the lowest gym shoe I could find. I guess if you need something done right , find a real tailor. Not going back again read more

I dropped off a pair of boots just for a polish and shine last week. I was told they would be ready for pick up the following Tuesday. Which is totally fine because I knew that they outsourced that part of their business. Today I stopped off to pick them up, they looked, "okay". I felt that I could have done a better job but it was all about the convenience of someone else doing it. My bill was $22. (mind you, I was told when asked how much this would cost, over $10, she wasn't sure and I said, that was fine) I asked how polishing and shining the toes of a pair of boots would come to that and I was told that they went ahead and replaced the heels. sigh...I never asked for the heels to be replaced. The worker then told me that the boot repair outsource called and asked her if they could replace the heels...she told them to go ahead and do it. Shouldn't that be up to the owner of the boots? To make a longer story less long, I said I did not ask for the heels to be replaced. She then so told me $15 and the heels would be free then. Are you kidding me? I was in shock and I had my grandson with me so I paid for it and told her I would not be back. (I could have said much more and feel so stupid now for not) $15 to shine boot toes but it would have only been an additional $7 to have the heels replaced??? That makes no sense to me and nothing is free. They chose what they wanted to charge me and then told me that they were out money. Ignorant people don't seem to get it that keeping a loyal long term customer means more in the long run than a few extra dollars in the moment. I'm so irritated that this happened but I suppose I need to be like Elsa in Frozen and just let it go. read more
