We talked a bit about how I wear my makeup and answered many of my questions along the way in my mini makeover. I have never used MAC cosmetics before today. I will however be back. I went in only because I was just at the Apple store a few doors down and I remembered I needed foundation and eye shadow. I've been wanting to try " high end " cosmetics so took the opportunity since there was only one other person in the store. I was greeted warmly by Lauren. She seemed genuinely interested in making me look good without pressuring me to buy other products. She offered to apply 2 different foundations to see if I liked either of them. She was knowledgeable and friendly. I also looked good for the rest of the day ( thanks Lauren ). I will be back to try other products soon. read more

I had a voucher for a 60 minuet makeup application that I used for a wedding I was attending. I gave the makeup artist free reign in most of the deciding factors for the look. This is the first time I didn't come prepared bc I wanted to stray away from the typical dark smokey eye and nude lip I usually gravitate to. Also my dress was vibrant and not dark. Everything came together well and there is no complaints for the pallet colors chosen or quality of service. However, I would advise for a better experience to come with a few ideas of what kind of look you're aiming for. What I did not like was the concealer and foundations used on me. I'm not sure if it was the type chosen or if it didn't agree with my skin. My nose, upper lip, and chin area lost coverage almost right away. And the upper lip portion was streaking taking on a strong yellow color. As soon as I got home I had to touch it up with my personal liquid foundation and powder. The concealer under my eyes was streaky too & the eyeliner was very smudgy. The only two products I really enjoyed were the eyebrow pencil and the lipstick that lasted a very long time. Overall it's been a while since I've gotten my makeup done at MAC so I definitely didn't want to pass up giving it another go. I'm not sure that I would choose Mac again for an event, but rather Sephora. read more

The location has ample street parking for a quick pop in for an array of beautiful shades of the color spectrum for your makeup fix. All the products are neatly displayed, easy to find, and try on the product. The make up artists here are friendly and know their stuff. Love that they are willing to help you find the perfect shade of color that you need and zero pressure to buy anything. I came in for a free 15 minute mini makeover for the new Fruity Juicy line. I picked the colors I wanted to test and the M.U.A. did a mini makeover, something out of my comfort zone, but totally happy with. I wasn't going to buy anything, but fell in love with the new lipstick "Love at first bite". Definitely a super cute addition to Downtown Naperville! read more

I can't believe I waited so long to visit the Naperville MAC store! The makeup artists in Naperville were wonderful hosts for our Yelp holiday happenings! I walked-in without an appointment and was out of the store in under an hour. The staff was super friendly and helped me create the perfect date night look. Although I suggest making an appointment for weekend glam sessions I won't hesitate to stop in at the Naperville store before my next event! read more

Another update! If you have an event, stop into MAC and let the professionals adorn your eyes. I had an art event the other evening and earlier in the day, I popped into MAC to see if I could get some eye make up inspo. Nancy suggested glitter and although I was hesitant, I thought this particular event would be perfect for something different! Nancy knew I like to keep a neutral/minimal look and calmed my fears of possibly looking like a hooker. I went back later in the day in that evening's attire and she picked out a glitter colour and ever so gently and kindly applied it. You guys. I never wear glitter. I don't even wear mascara most days. Nancy was able to somehow keep my "natural" make up look WITH glitter. I'm actually inspired and excited to go back to her for future events! I'm impressed and thankful for a unique look without going overboard. The cherry on top is that at no point in the evening did I ever feel like I wanted to wash it off my face! It never got in my eyes and I received compliments on it all evening. Nancy, you're awesome. MAC Naperville is my favorite MAC location it's not as crazy busy as Oakbrook or Woodfield. sometimes I've left MAC because I couldn't get assistance, but that has never been the case at the Naperville MAC. I only purchase MAC makeup and have been doing so for 15 years, I love their products, especially the foundation. The staff is always wonderful here, they are incredibly friendly and helpful. The previous time I went they were having problems with their systems on a Saturday or Sunday and the line was insanely slow. I didn't get her name, a Latina MUA that was trying to check me out in line handled this situation very well. she apologized to everyone in line and kept us all busy trying on new make up while they troubleshooted. This made the wait in the line go by a little faster and allowed us to experiment with make up we've never tried before. Today I went in and I found Madalyn. WOW!! She is amazing and totally changed my life! I have explained before my skin type, skin problems, and the make up results I want on my face. I have had tons of mini make up sessions with make up artists at MAC over the years, but I have never had an experience like the one I had today. Madalyn is truly skilled and extremely knowledgeable, I finally was able to achieve what I wanted and explained (and demonstrated) how to apply the products. She is now my go to MUA and I will look for her when I return. She made magic happen today and I couldn't be happier. After months of battling cancer, I found out I was in remission and could return back to work. I was very excited yet felt intimidated. I had lost my hair, eyebrows, and eye lashes. As I was taking a walk with my kids in downtown Naperville , I decided to stop by the MAC store to purchase eye lashes because I hated not having any. I ran into a gentleman his name was Kevin. Kevin was such an amazing employee/person. I was Initially intimidate by all the mirrors and beautiful makeup. But, Kevin not only recommended the perfect lashes, but filled in my eyebrows, put make up on that helped with discoloration and yellowness of my skin. Recommend perfect lipsticks colors and blush. He was so calm, kind, patient, and sincere. He did not push products. He just was helping me feel confident, he helped me feel beautiful again, he helped me find me after I had though I lost myself with this battle. To top it off, I had 3 of my kids with me and customers were in and out of the store he still took care of everything and continued to make me feel important. I left the store tearful. My kids complemented me on my new look and I felt "alive" again. I would highly recommend Kevin. I will be returning to that store for sure. I was not much of a MAC customer but this store had won a devoted customer. read more

I had booked a make-over with Chasity (spelling?) and she was awesome! She was very friendly and really knows her stuff. As she chose colors and products for me, she explained why and how to use the products. I felt like it was like a tutorial and make-up lesson at the same time as just getting my make-up done. Kevin is the epitome of a true artist!! I was beyond lucky to have him do my makeup for a wedding a few weeks ago. I called the day before to set up an appointment - Lauren was incredibly helpful over the phone, and she made my day by remembering me. She was so sweet and excited for my appointment - also told me I was in very skilled hands with Kevin. He made me look and feel more beautiful than I did in my own wedding day! I've been a fan of MAC for years...I recently attended a Yelp Elite event and received a card for free make up application. I scheduled an appointment, and ended up having to cancel and re-schedule. I did it the same day...I felt bad, but my plans got canceled and I wasn't going to waste a make up application! The girl who answered the phone was very nice about it and it wasn't a problem at all...I got a call the next day to confirm my appointment well in advance, which was for the following Saturday, but again ... no biggie, I confirmed. I scored parking right across the street on a Saturday afternoon and really lucked out in downtown Naperville! Cruz did my make up and did a wonderful job!!! She let me watch from another mirror and explained some what what she did and answered my questions as in ...what do I use a highlighter for? We had a good conversation during the process, she's lovely! I didn't get any big sales pitch after which I'm always dreading but made a purchase anyway as I wanted a good brow pencil. I was VERY happy with my experience here, I even suggested the place to my friend who I went out to dinner with that night. The staff here are all great. I will absolutely consider this place for future make up appointments. read more

After attending the Elite event, I was eager to come back for a full makeover using the complimentary card that we were given. I entered early (10 min before my appt at 11 am) and noticed the store manager with a customer. Told me someone would be right with me and the MUA came out a little after 11 am to greet me. No biggie! Lauren G. who took care of my face did an awesome job, HOWEVER - when making my appointment over the phone earlier that week, I was told the MUA wouldn't leave and would give me full attention. Well, that wasn't so. Lauren had to constantly stop my make-up application to tend to customers that walked in. Mind you, there was at least 2 other people in the back, store manager included, who could have taken care of the customers. I was told this process would be about an hour long and had she not have to constantly stop, I wouldn't have been late for my photoshoot. My photographer waited 30 min for me! Unacceptable! Its not Lauren's fault, but I blame the store manager for being understaffed when you know an appointment is coming in to be serviced. Will I try them again? Maybe, but the experience HAS to get better! read more

WOW! I've have never really been a "yelper", but after my first experience here it was great! My wife sent me a list of products to purchase since I was in the area.
