It feels similar to Sephora, there are testers for everything and makeup stations to try stuff on. The prices are a fraction of what I'd pay at the other company, which is a huge win for me. Thank you NYX for being cruelty free, affordable, and good quality. You have a loyal customer with me. My last shopping experience at this location is why I am writing this review. Elicia is an asset to this company. I came in with a list of makeup I needed and it usually takes me awhile trying to figure out what would be best for me. Elicia finished with a customer and immediately approached me with a kind manner. Seeing that she had pretty makeup, I asked her opinion about one of the products on my list. She walked me around the store showing me the products she thought would be best for me and gave me tips on how to make my eyes pop, my lipstick to stick, among other things. She even carried my basket for me. By the end of the transaction, I felt like I had just gone shopping with a girlfriend. And it only took about 10 minutes! The one bummer was they were out of a mascara I wanted, but Elicia made the experience so great, I look forward to going back in to buy more. In these dark times our country is going through, it means a lot when an ordinary daily transaction has a moment of connection. Elicia, helped me feel better, which is the ultimate goal of customer service.

The customer service can be hit or miss. Sometimes, The customer service reps can go above and beyond and other times they can flat out ignore you and be rude. The salon's owner greeted me and helped me pick out a good pinky nude for my mani and set me up in a spa chair. A nail tech named Kim did my pedi and Jay did my mani. They were both so sweet and kind, on top of making my nails look extraordinary. They both shaped my nails after I had foolishly clipped them super short a few days ago, and Jay really took her time to save my cuticles and layer my gel color so it would look great. I had such a great time chatting with them both, and they told me that clients have been respectful regarding the salon's COVID policies--which is great to hear. For those who don't know, my mother had recently been hospitalized prior to Thanksgiving due to an illness she had contracted. The doctor had told her that her immune system may be compromised for about 3 months even though she is on the road to cure, so my mom has taken precautionary measures & wears a medical mask to protect herself from breathing in any contaminants. So back to my experience.. we were finishing our mall visit at the E.L.F store, & as we are walking in, the only sales associate in the store (who I've come to learn is named Jasmine) looks up & SCREAMS across the entire store "ARE YOU SICK??? ... EXCUSE ME ARE YOU SICK???" My mom & I were honestly taken back, to the point where my jaw dropped. My mom replied "Excuse me? No, I'm wearing it to protect myself from YOU", to which the associate answers with a nervous laugh followed by "Oh, 'tis the season... I thought you were sick & she (me) May be sick too since she's hanging out with you.. everyone's sick." Do people not THINK before they SPEAK??? I've never been so turned off by a sales associate. Why do you feel the need to scream it across the store & draw attention to my mom? As if the stares throughout the mall weren't enough -- Think I'm wrong? Walk through a public place with a medical mask & take in the nasty stares you get. Bottom line is my mom could've been terminally ill (God forbid) or had anything going on, & this sales associate felt the need to try & belittle her publicly. & if my mom would've answered yes, she was sick? Was she going to deny my mom service because of a damn face mask?? The kicker is, she hardly even offered us any help, but the people who walked in after us practically had their asses kissed by this associate. Moral of the story, someone's health is not the topic of discussion across a public store. You never know what people are going through. 'Tis the season for some fucking manners. My 14 year old daughter also had her makeup done, Alyssa did her makeup, and it was also fantastic. Very natural looking, she loved it!
