I visited Spa Rockaway for the first time today! I called to book a same day appointment with Sandy because I noticed she had great reviews. I was quickly accommodated by the lovely receptionist, I think her name started with a T but I could be wrong. I was lucky to meet her in person when I showed up for my appointment. She was super kind and even offered me tea! I met with Sandra (Sandy) for my Deep Muscle Meltdown massage. As I entered the back where the massage room are located I was pleased with the aesthetics and I already began to feel relaxed while also excited for the service. Upon entering the massage room I noticed how clean it was and Sandy made me feel comfortable right away by showing me where I can place my clothes, how I should lie on the bed, and she asked just the right questions to know exactly what I was looking for in my experience today. Sandy is also super knowledgeable and shared with me exactly what areas she would be targeting after she learned about my daily activities through her targeted questions. When my massage was over I didn't want to leave! I was treated so well that I booked my next appointment before I left. Sandy is officially my masseuse at Spa Rockaway! After receiving a recommendation from a friend, my husband and I booked massages at Spa Rockaway for our anniversary. Even though I called last minute, they accommodated us and even offered to call us back if there were any cancellations so that we could get in at an earlier time. The neighborhood isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, so I was a bit hesitant in terms of what to expect from a spa there. However, I was pleasantly surprised immediately after walking in the front door. The customer service was excellent. We were welcomed with a genuinely friendly greeting upon arrival. My masseuse was extremely attentive to my needs and helped me fall into complete relaxation. I felt like a human blob of jelly after leaving, which was an accomplishment because I have a hard time relaxing. It was wonderful to walk out of there feeling so refreshed and then to sit on the beach listening to the waves. Spa Rockaway made me feel incredible. I'm so happy we decided to get a massage for an anniversary treat. I will definitely be back and would suggest that you give them a try! read more

I am a regular customer to Spa Rockaway and love every experience I have there which keeps me coming back for more!! The atmosphere and environment at Spa Rockaway is very relaxing, warming and inviting. Everyone who works there shows so much dedication and professionalism, which makes your own experience that much more pleasing. Any worker that I received a treatment with has taken there time and spread their love and knowledge for what they are practicing. I always have positive vibes (after a massage) and good results (after a facial) whenever I leave them. Personally, I have struggled with acne for the last 6 years and not even doctors have been able to calm my skin down. I've tried spas all throughout the city for facials (overpriced and lacking in product quality and commitment with their clients), different dermatologist, and dietary changes. My next step was accutane (very severe and harsh medication) to try and get rid of my acne. The owner Pat was confident and determined that with her techniques and help I wouldn't need to take medication. Ever since, I've been going to her monthly for different facial treatments that the spa offers and have nothing but amazing results. Each treatment from the LED Phototherapy facial, Oxygen treatment, Microdermabrasion, and the Venus Viva skin resurfacing, all have played their own special part in how much my skin has improved till this day! A little disappointing ... time was cut short and feet/quads were not massaged during a full body, as well as hip which I specified was an issue in the beginning! I asked the woman after I was dressed and paying if they deduct 5 mins for undressing and 5 for redressing as they do at some spas (it was my first time there) and was told no it should have been the full time hands on, so it was too late at that point to even continue, and there was no clock in the room for me to know during the session. LaTonya was friendly and helpful when I called. They were able to accommodate me for a same day appointment. I was intrigued by the Reiki Healing and decided to try that and a one hour massage. Jamie gave me the most relaxing and thorough massage and the Reiki healing was absolutely peaceful! I felt so light during my appointment, I decided I would buy a package before I left so I could come back regularly - something I've never done before. Jamie is a gem and was on target with everything - her energy, talent, choice of essential oils, perfect amount of pressure, and her light, caring personality!
