I came in for a wash and set with curlers, and I added in for a haircut. I wasn't sure how to book that I wanted layers and the trim for my dead my time in the salon, I spoke to three different people and told different three people. I wanted a trim for my dead ends and long layers added in. The woman in the picture I specified that to her as well. She asked me if I wanted a haircut and I said trim for the dead ends. I even demonstrated an inch or two with my hand on how much I wanted to cut off. She said OK while she was cutting my hair off the pieces that fell down to the ground with more than an inch or two as I specified. However, when I was done, and I brought all my hair to the front half of my hair was gone This woman did not ask me if I wanted a big chop and how long I wanted my hair if I wanted a haircut, I would've specified how long I wanted my haircut? And I can't understand what type of stylist will just cut off whatever I'm out of here they want on someone's head I believe she knew what she was doing because if I wanted to cut that much off to begin with, I cut it off in such a small increments where it wasn't noticeable? I didn't say anything in the salon because she had already cut my hair off and I was visibly upset and I had just wanted to leave at that point. Whoever this woman is has cut my hair so short she has a room in the progress that I've been growing my hair in the last four years. I left me in tears all of New Year's Eve because this is not what I wanted. However, I still tipped which was stupid in my part truthfully bc it's gonna take me 1-2 YEARS TO GROW MY HAIR BACK but I tipped because she's working on the holiday and the blowout itself was OK even though I didn't get the curlers and set like I booked for At the point that I noticed she had cut off as much as she did and when I noticed I no longer cared for the curlers or rolled or wanted to be there I wanted wanted to get out the quickest way I could. I made an appointment for 10am on 5/29 and we arrived early (9:15am) and this salon was already open with approximately 5-6 people (good sign). The ladies working were friendly and we were waiting for about 15 minutes. A friendly woman washed my daughter's hair and two others started blowing my daughter's very long and wavy hair. I let them trick me into doing a regular moisturizing treatment which was dumb When it came to the wash and go - as sweet as the stylist was, she did not properly apply the product to my hair. Basically slapped it on and left me looking busted. I had to tell her to add water to my hair before adding the mousse/gel combo. She didn't bother smoothing or raking the product properly. She said to diffusing would be better even after I told her my hair won't dry with that....it didn't even matter bc she diffused with no curls in site. I wish I took pictures of what my head looked like leaving the salon vs my wash n gos at home or at my other salon. Almost $200 later - I found myself at home redoing my wash n go which looks perfect after having to wash my hair all over again. Due to COVID, they take temperature upon entry and hand sanitize everyone walking in. There are plastic dividers between each chair and everyone is required to wear a face mask. My stylist, Win, was really detailed and actually cut off the amount I wanted and not a gazillion inches more. My hair is super thick, so I was also able to get it lightly layered. Highly recommend for a cheap and good hair cut.
