I have only been here once. It's your typical neighborhood bar and grill. They have flat screens and it's pretty chill, which I like! There food is just okay for a bar food. I ordered the fried pickles but what was a little disappointed. If I could give zero I would. Walked into and empty interior and just had the employee behind the bar stare at us and look away with no greeting or direction to sit ourselves or menus. Sat ourselves down. Two songs pass by and still no one acknowledged us plus the table next to us looked like they've been waiting to leave for a while, starring down the 2 employees behind the bar. We left with out anyone looking up. Not recommend. Sticky tables, horrible service, if you want to spend your money go to one of the fast food places down the street. read more

This is my watering hole. Best service, best price, best place. I walk in, there's my drink ready to go. I always go here to catch the Thursday, Sunday and Monday football games. Sometimes on Wednesday for Whiskey Wednesday ... then the occasional Friday for pre concert drinks. I try to stumble in on Tuesday as well. Long story short, it's a very friendly homey atmosphere. Ordered delivery via UberEATS & was not disappointed. Cajun-style catfish was very delicious. Provided lemons & tarter sauce. It was so good with & without the tarter! Nice sized filets (two). Fun place great staff and the owner is awesome, he will come and sit down and visit with anyone. Also for a bar the food is excellent and he is very proud of it. We have never had anything that we don't enjoy. We really enjoy the patio, we like to sit out there on Sunday afternoons when the weather is nice. Just north of i 635 on N MacArthur Blvd, Maccs Grill, "your neighborhood grill and bar," is a perfect hole in the wall for Irving's Las Collinas and Valley Ranch residents. It truly is clean, cheap and convenient. Beers are 2.50 of domestics, 3.50 for premium, and a a fair array of well and premium mixed drinks. Honestly the food is okay; not bad, not great. I take that back....keeping in mind that it is for the most part bar food, it's consistently good. The buffalo chicken sandwich and wraps are very tasty. But hands down, they have the best deal on fried pickles, fresh cut chips, and sweet potato fries out there (check out the menu.) The appetizers are a genuine bargain, great complement to a few beers and mixed drinks!!! The crowd is entertaining; very eclectic to say the least. I would recommend steering clear on karaoke night if that's not your thing, it gets.........different. Best part is, the girls almost always remember your drinks even if it's been several months since your last visit. This is a good place to go if you like a good variety of appetizers/bar food like me. Not only is it relatively cheap, but they give you a decent amount of food. The fried pickles and onion rings were really good. I would skip on the potato skins because they weren't good AND for the amount of money you pay, they only give you like 3-4 pieces which I think is a rip off. My fiance had honey BBQ wings which he said were alright and I had the cajun catfish, which was also decent. Overall, I would only come back for the fried pickles because I have random cravings for fried pickles. Maybe next time I'll try some wings. read more

Maacs is the "Cheers" of Valley Ranch! A little neighborhood bar where everybody, well, SOMEBODY knows your name. With a diverse group of regulars, it is not hard to see that there is something special about this place that keeps you coming back for more. There is a full bar with very reasonable drink prices. The food is made fresh and is very good! I suggest the chicken tenders (which you can order with the buffalo sauce...delish!). The patio can get a little smokey, but it is still a fun way to spend the evening. Tuesdays and Saturdays they have karaoke. The participation is high, so the entertainment is constant. If you aren't feeling the karaoke vibe that night, you can retreat to the patio where you can watch TV or listen to the music playing. The patio has heaters for the winter, fans for the summer and "sides" that can be brought down for rain. You will be protected from the elements outside. Masud is the owner, who you will see making his rounds from table to table. He might look grumpy, but he is a big teddy bear. The wait staff are awesome...especially Jen! Visited this place for lunch on a Saturday and had the bbq chicken sandwich. It was okay, the fries were a little too over salted. The margaritas weren't too bad either, but for the prices one can't complain too much. The one thing that was delicious were the zucchini fries! They're a must try. If you like a bar that reminds you of Cheers this is the place for you. The bartenders were really nice and it really felt like a neighborhood bar. I could tell there were a lot of regulars there. Love this place especially on a Saturday night when they have karaoke. The food is good but the "you're always a friend" vibe is the best! The owner is awesome and always talks to us. We LOVE this place. Came here one night with our kids, and have been hooked since. Now, my husband and I now come for weekly dates. Everything we've tried here is DELICIOUS. The wait staff now knows us as regulars, and brings us our drinks when we first sit down and asks if we want our "usual". I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. I walked in and sat at the bar and was greeted by good service. The beer selection is quite limited, but the place doesn't advertise itself as a beer garden so that's no big deal. The bartenders were pleasant and funny. To my happy surprise, they have outside seating. I transferred outside. As I sat down, there was a guy walking out a very intoxicated (attractive) female. Great drinks. Food selection is much larger than what you would expect from a smaller grill. The staff are hard working and the whole business runs like a well oiled machine. I like the patio and the Italian restaurant next door, Michaels, has a great set up because they are BYOB and you can have a bottle of wine or a beverage delivered across the patio. We went on a really busy Friday evening and the owner of Mac's came behind the bar and was expediting the food, cleaning glasses and helping out in general. Our whole experience was very pleasant. Super fresh and super yummy. I've been here at least four times, 3 during lunch times and once for dinner. They're busy during dinner time but not bad at all for lunch. I made a call in order for wings and when my order was delivered to me it was incorrect, so i called and spoke with Alicia who was very rude and argumentative. I asked to have my order corrected she stated she would have to charge me for it because she was sure of what i ordered, (mind you this is a bar with loud tv's music customers just noisy, so maybe she misheard) but instead of her coming to a resolution she wanted to be defensive. So i personally drove my order back to the location a request to have my order corrected again she attempted to charge me for a redo of 20 wing mixed lemon pepper and hot, didn't even offer to just give me lemon pepper seasoning for the hot wings i received. I also spoke with the cook he was very receptive, and was able to redo my order with hesitation. But the customer service at the small Maac's grill was very horrific I have been in Irving for 9 years and this is the first time I've had a issue with this location but they don't have to worry about my chump change in their establishment. This place is near my house so I'm glad I finally started to pay it some attention. The drinks are good and cheap I must say. The patio is nice and the crowd seems to be pretty good as well. Definitely a group that comes to watch sports and just hang out. The first time I went I hated the food as it just wasn't prepared correctly. The second time I was more specific about what I wanted and how I wanted it and it was actually pretty good. I'm looking forward to hanging out here more often.
