FIsh and Chips
Geralyn H.

Discovered M3 while perusing Yelp for a new fish-and-chips experience. We usually eat out every Friday at lunch and wanted to try something new. The venue is very nice: warm decor, comfprtable variety of table and bar seating. Short wait at the door for someone to offer to seat us. Longer wait at the table for a server to show and take drink orders. Pleasantly supprised at the lower cost of beers and wine. Even longer wait for a glass of wine and a draft to arrive. The Fish-and-Chips did turn out to be excellent - a light and crsipy batter over very fresh cod. Looked like home-made tartar sauce. Fries were good but might have benefitted from a little salt (and none available on the table). The clam chowder (which has several good reviews on Yelp) was only fair. No potatoes to speak of and carrots -- WHY? The Turkey Club was definitely not a club sandwich with three layers, but the turkey was tasty and the sandwich delicious; maybe a littel overpriced at $18. The menu has some very interesting selections, so we will return to try other dishes and hope that they are as good as the FIsh-and-Chips!

Beef stroganoff for dinner.

I just discovered M3 and went here the other night with a some friends for dinner. We were promptly greeted by a kind host who led us a nice booth. Our drink orders were taken quickly while we perused the menu. It's a huge menu so be prepared to take a minute or two to look at it. Our friends each ordered a dinner salad. The salads were so big they gave one of their salads to us to share. It was delicious and full of fresh vegetables. Then came my beef stroganoff. It was piping hot and came with a nice piece of garlic bread. Both were delicious. The serving size was so big I took half of it home with me. The ambience is nice and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The prices are extremely reasonable. I will definitely keep going back. I just wish I found out about it sooner!

First time to M3, based on a recommendation from a friend in our group. Casual setting for a professional dinner meet up. Kind and fast service. Expansive menu. I liked: - Artichoke appetizer - Shrimp and Grits Plenty of parking. Something for everyone. Solid restaurant away from the main Reno hub bub.

If you like salmon do not skip out on the house salad $6 add salmon $10. They also do an herb crusted salmon salad but grilled is the way I go. Interior is nice darker wood and brick walls with rustic accents. A few reserved spots for the restaurant otherwise you'll need to look around the complex for parking. Staff is friendly and artichoke is a solid appetizer. It was a working lunch meeting so no drinks but I would come back to check it out again.

Salmon Sandwich with Napa Slaw

Our daughter came home for the holidays and we took her here for her welcome back dinner. It is a family favorite! The restaurant and bar are festively decorated right now so it feels nice and cozy at this time of year! It was pretty busy but we were seated at a booth fairly quickly. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed - our drinks (glasses of wine and beer) took quite a long time to arrive at the table-- but we weren't in a hurry so it worked out fine. My daughter and I decided to split a couple dishes-- the Creamy Burrata & Charred Tomato Bruschetta Skillet and the Salmon Sandwich with Napa Slaw. Both met our expectations and were delicious! My husband decided to get the Rachael Sandwich with Clam Chowder and was happy with his order.

Loved this place, even if it's hard to find at night! Worth scouting out in daylight. It has a comfortable rustic decor-- brick and wood . Service is friendly and efficient, our party of 11 got water and menus quickly. Four of us ordered the prime rib stroganoff and were very happy with it. Others had fish and chips which, according to them, was okay but not exceptional. One had the flank steak and recommended it. Another ordered the largest house saladI've ever seen. Our waiter was on the spot for refills and removing dirty plates, always a key item for me. My only complaint was that they were out of the key lime pie I'd been looking forward to. I definitely will return and reserve my key lime pie when I arrive!

This gem is a bit secluded, but is perfect for intimate occasions. The interior is dimly lit for a romantic feel and there is plenty of space. M3 has some unique dishes that I don't see in many restaurants. For example is the stuffed risotto balls that is accompanied by a creamy orange sauce. The outside is crunchy while the inside is soft with some creaminess from the risotto. But they also have classic American fare such as pasta and steak. The grilled flank steak is easy to cut and not gummy like how some steaks can be. The cabernet reduction gorgonzola butter is drizzled on top and pairs beautifully with the steak. The mushroom rigatoni has a classic pasta taste, but the portion is large! I'm hoping that they have some seasonal offers because I think M3 would ace a truffle pasta dish. Can't wait to see what they come up with!

We come here a lot. Either for special occasions or just for a small family date. Today was aagnificent experience. We had a large party. And I know large parties can be super annoying. They were so patient with us as well as attentive. Always filling the water and trying to even sooth our baby. They tried first with a cherry. She didn't take. Then, tried with oyster crackers. Took she some. She is normally really good when we are out in public, but she wasn't herself today. They took our order. They chatted with us in between orders and pouring wine. Overall food is good, service is great and it feels very much like a family restaurant. Just can't rave enough about that. Of course, we will return and continue to try the vast array of food they have. Note to go early or make a reservation. They are busy every evening and get busier after 530pm.

Capellini Pomodori, delicious
Linda F.

A small place and hidden behind trees in the shopping center, M3 is worth seeking out. There are no prices on the website menu, so I didn't know what to expect. But I was very pleasantly surprised. All the entrees were very reasonably priced, between mid teens to mid 20's. I had the Capellini Pomodori, pasta with fresh basil, fresh tomatoes and toasted pine nuts tossed with olive oil, white wine and loads of garlic. It's a simple dish, but very well made, delicious. The glass of rosé, The Pale, a vin de France, was crisp and delightful with the pasta. That was definitely a bottle that had just been opened. Our server was attentive but not at all pushy. We had a lovely dining experience with friends, 6 entrees, 10 drinks and we each paid just under $50, all in. Not bad for a nice night out

Cheers!

First, we showed up on a Friday evening around 7pm, and was told there was a 25 min wait. We said no problem and went for a little walk. We even walked all the way to another restaurant called The Shore to see the menu and then decided to try the pizza place. It is a huge restaurant with an inside bar and outdoor patio with lots of seating. The outside looks amazing, but the inside was cramped and super stuffy and hot. We tried to order some drinks inside but the bartender was super busy and then a server came up and basically told us to wait until we got seated before ordering drinks. After another 10-15 min, we finally got seated. I looked around, and there were a lot of people sitting and waiting for food at tables. The waitress was nice, and we ordered our food right away. After waiting an extraordinarily long time with no food or service, we waved the waitress over and she went to check on our order. Came back and said it would be 10 more minutes. Can she offer us some nuts and olives? We were starving so we ate all that was given to us. Finally, our food came out! We only ordered marinara pasta with chicken&mushrooms (since the meatballs were already gone) and one Cherrypicker pizza. The homemade pasta tasted good, but chicken and mushroom was skimpy. Then the pizza had great crust, but the middle was soggy and wet probably from the cherry tomatoes. It took us about 2 hours to get fed that night. I think many other people had the same level of service that night. The place has potential, but I think they need more staff.

When you walk into the restaurant you walk down the center of the building between two dining areas which makes it feel more like a takeout place rather than formal dining. I also agree with another review I read that said this Italian food didn't taste particularly special. Everything we tried tasted like something that your standard grocery store/home cook could make. Even the chicken Parmesan was disappointing! I was especially disappointed because we came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and the waiter didn't even have any recommendations of wine pairings to go with the different entrées. The bread that was served at the table had little burnt pieces of garlic and was flavorless. The oil and balsamic blend provided had little balsamic in it and every time I dipped my bread I usually got only oil and no balsamic. The outdoor patio was nice until the loud noise from a car wash(?) turned in every 5-10minutes. In short, lesson learned, never try a new restaurant for a special occasion even if it's rumored to be related to a restaurant you love.

Having worked in many kitchens, the kitchen staff was extremely professional (open kitchen)... and WOW! They cranked out, quite literally, the best pasta I've ever had in my life! We arrived at 5 pm as soon as they opened, and three people were there waiting outside..they headed to the bar, we headed inside the restaurant. They gave us a nice table of two in the back and the music was amazing with a serious old school feel...I think finding a restaurant that still embraces the past is getting harder to find these days. Our waitress brought some fresh bread to the table as we ordered two beers from the menu. I noticed that this Yelp does not have wine listings anywhere, so I snapped some photos for wine lovers to get an idea on selection and price point. I admit that I looked at the actual menu and already knew what I wanted before I stepped foot in the restaurant....ricotta filled ravioli in a butter sage sauce....yes please! Hub thought he was going to get the fettuccini, but at the last moment went for the spaghetti bolognese. Both our dishes arrived and they looked amazing...Hub was taken by surprise that two meatballs were on his dish...I guess we didn't read the details, but the sauce was still heartily filled with meat...and he ended up eating the meatballs anyway. Both of us cleaned our dishes. As we got the final bill, we applauded the waitress with how much we liked it, and she informed us that the owner was back there doing all the cooking. By the time we left, nearly the whole restaurant was full by 6pm....on a Tuesday...Wow!

The starter minestrone was too salty, beany, and garlicky; the garlic bread was way too buttery and salty; and the main courses (polenta with prawns--more like shrimp--and linguine with clams--seemingly canned clams) were both overly garlicky, salty or otherwise problematic: not enough pasta, huge wedges of garlicky polenta, etc. Happy to give them another try and update my review, as the menu had some really good variety, including some nice healthy-sounding dishes like grilled eggplant and cioppino, and the desert menu had some nice -sounding options.
