Love m2 Wines! I recently visited m2 for a hosted visit, and my party and I enjoyed a seated tasting and tour of the estate vineyard. When we arrived, we were greeted and taken care of by Cindy, who was a fabulous host! We had a reservation for two and seated on the red couches. The tasting room is stunning, and the architecture is very sleek and modern. The lighting is also perfect for pictures, and m2 has space available to rent out if you're planning a special event! The wines were excellent, and my favorites were the 2023 Sparkling Rose and 2020 Patina Blend, which uses three varietals sourced from the surrounding vineyard. The Syrah had some residual, and I later learned that it's characteristic of the grape. It's definitely an acquired taste and something I appreciated learning more about on our tour with cellarmaster, Reno. Reno was an expert and gave us a lot of insight into the winemaking process. Thank you, m2 Wines, for the hospitality and experience! I can't wait to open my bottles of 2020 Patina Blend soon.

One of our favorite wineries. We dropped in as a party of 7 on Saturday for our 4pm reservation. $15 tasting fee for 5 wines and waived with a bottle purchase. But we did get to try a few extra wines off menu. Mostly fruity tasting wines and have some flavor. Denise was nice and generous. The red blends that were off menu were pretty good so we all bought one to waive our tasting. You can also bring food and snacks. They have both outdoor and indoor seatings. Dogs are allowed. They had live music too.

Once every two months my best friend and I like to get together for a wine day adventure, with our favorite being sparkling wines! This place was recommended to us by our favorite Sommelier at Michael David Winery. The grounds are really nice and a few times we have seen parties or what appear to be professional photos done here. They only offered one type of sparkling wine varietal while we were there. It had a nice flavor but our only mutual comment was the sparkling wasn't served that cold which diminished from the experience. But we still took bottle home to chill and have stopped in from time to time to visit. It's still a place I would recommend adding to your list to check out, especially for the sparkling!

An absolute gem. I was out celebrating my birthday and we had asked the previous place we went to for a recommendation and this was a good one! Easy to find, plenty of parking and a beautiful winery. The service was excellent and I loved the wines. We also got cheese and crackers and the cheeses were DELIGHTFUL! I tried the brie and the goat cheese which both paired beautifully with the wines. I met a man who was also celebrating his birthday and we did a little cheers to each other. The vibe is amazing and the friendliness exudes from every corner. The best part is the perfect golden hour photo ops! Definitely coming back to M2, you've gained a fan for life!

Stopped in the first weekend of June 2024 and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. First of all, they returned my call that I had left earlier in the week and answered all my questions. They made me reservations for a party of 4. When we arrived, our table was inside, ready for us when we arrived even though we were about 10 minutes late. The friendly hostess quickly started our pours and started from whites to reds. She threw in at least 2-3 extra tastings, which included their famous Purple Squirrel! As my boss loves squirrels, I will definitely be back for a bottle for her birthday gift. The wine is excellent here , we enjoyed several of the pours. They allowed outside food in the tastingroom , so we were able to nibble on crackers and cheese as well as purchase some of their olives & lavender cheese. The open-air tasting room is very comfortable on a nice afternoon. However, in the dead of summer, it may get pretty steamy, especially when tasting. The ambiance is comfortable and stylish. Finally, I am a sucker for professional and polite service, and we definitely were catered to here. We did end up buying 6 bottles amongst us and had a great time at M2 Winery. I highly recommend it !

5 stars! This winery was a nice lovely relief after trying two others in Lodi; M2 had a lovely staff who were so welcoming and nice! My friend and I wanted to do a flight and a staff member recommended us using the flasks which was cool so we can pour our flight at our own pace as she would check in and talk to us about each wine! Plus the property is gorgeous!

The patio needs to be upgraded, obviously!! This looks like it belongs in a frat house!

Booked a reservation online for a Friday tasting. Great space and covered open area . We were able to enjoy sitting outside while enjoying a tasting. I ended up really enjoying the sparkling rose and got a bottle and they were able to comp my tasting . Great place to come by and bring some food and enjoy some wine. It wasn't busy when we were there which was nice to enjoy having the place mostly to ourselves. The service was great and the people who work there were very nice and accommodating. They allow well behaved kids and pets . Great as we were able to bring our 5 yr old along. We found that other wineries nearby do not allow kids.

Been a wine club member here forever... when they were in the old place. Wine never disappoints, service is great, and a terrific new location, too. This place is the tops! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I drink wine but I am by far not an expert. The tasting was robust and inexpensive. We had our fill and the atmosphere was very trendy. It's as if in the middle of nowhere you find an oasis. When we come back to California we know where we will be headed too! We just wish that you guys were stocked nationally. Hopefully soon! read more

If you are coming to Lodi, drop on by m2. Down to earth, good wine, excellent location. I recommend the old vine zin, then go on up to El Dorado or Amador to give those a try. Great examples of what region can do to/for the end bottle. read more

3 stars mostly for the quality/taste of some of their varietals. Some interesting blends but generally not up my palette's alley. Regardless, beautiful huge modern tasting room which overlooks the new vines. Woman working the tasting room was super friendly and attentive, even let us try a wine or two from the reserve tasting list. read more

This place is stunning! We walked in and were completely taken back about how beautiful the big doors, windows and walls were. The lady working yesterday was so sweet and helpful. One of the best, if not absolute best, winery in the Lodi area. Winemaker knows what he's doing! They primarily get grapes from Lodi area and Amador County, so specialties are Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Tasting room is very cool and spacious. I recommend bringing lunch or snacks to enjoy with your wine outside on pretty patio. Tasting room staff do an excellent job. read more

m2 is a new(ish) winery with a very modern looking tasting facility. The wines were all very good and well priced. The services was friendly, if not immensely knowledgeable ( our server was pretty new). Well worth a stop if you are headed up (or down) the 99, and a must stop if you are in Lodi specifically for wine tasting. read more

Best wines in Lodi hands down. Amazing people in the tasting room, especially Eric the assistant winemaker. We are club members and rave about the wines to all our friends, family and strangers. To me Lodi is the next Napa. This place has a great vibe, high alcohol wines, which if you have not gathered is the only way to go for amazing wine. All went wines are consistently amazing. Super friendly right off the road great place to stop on way through the valley. Bring your dog in, they have treats. They even sell homemade treats to take with you. Your dog will love you. And yes the wine is good! read more

This is definitely a must for anyone looking to check out a great Lodi winery! The staff is amazing. The wine is FABULOUS! I can't even say one of their wines is my favorite because the old vin zin is delicious...the dessert wind is epic, and the white table wine is exquisite. However it's not just wine that makes this a MUST! This winery is gorgeous!!! The staff leaves you feeling like you are one of the family. M2 Is truly a great winery!!!! I went wine tasting in Lodi last weekend and this was one of my favorite places we visited. Being from Sacramento I have been wine tasting in Lodi quite a few times but for some reason I had never tried m2. Well I am glad I finally did. I went with my girlfriend and 7 of my closest family members in from Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and the Bay Area. We all really enjoyed the wine, the staff, and the brand new tasting room. The wine was very good and fairly priced. I think everyone in our party of 9 bought bottles and a couple of us are now m2 wine club members. The staff was very friendly. We met the owner and wine maker. Everyone was super friendly. The new tasting room is amazing! I wish I would have taken some pictures... The ceilings are 20-30 feet high and the massive doors open up to make an outdoor tasting room on beautiful sunny days. It's a really awesome space to sit and sip wines. I highly recommend stopping by m2 if you are out in Lodi wine tasting. read more

So.. We went here because a few people recommended it and to be honest the wine wasn't good. It was mediocre at best. In addition, I'm not sure why m2 thinks it's wines are worth the value of $10 tasting per person, when the wine really isn't that good. Additionally, any other winery in Lodi waives this fee if a couple purchases a bottle -we aren't in Napa after all. Basically, the wine isn't worth the cost of the tasting. I personally think that anyone who "likes" this place does so because they are infatuated with the modern architecture but not the actual wine. My vote is for oak farm and Jess's grove - much better! And if you really want the CA wine experience go to el dorado county or amador county. Tastings are free - wines are great and sell themselves (without the tastings)! read more

We were in Lodi for only a day and thus could only choose a couple wineries to check out. M2 made it onto the list and we were very pleased with our decision. Denise did a fantastic job walking us through our tasting and answering our questions about the vineyard and fermentation facility. You can really tell that Denise loves her job and it showed throughout our entire time at M2. On top of that, the wine is delectable! read more

First time to M2. Celebrated an engagement party there. One of 3 that we chose to go to! The customer service is outstanding, we were greeted with smiles and our group was taken care of completely. We started walking around and ran into the owner and founder of the winery and he graciously gave us a tour, had us test some wines in the back room and explained how they do things. It was fun, the wine is excellent and the location and look of this winery is unique and you feel so at home when you are there. Definitely recommend this winery and we will definitely go back! This is, hands down, my favorite winery in Lodi to date. The reds are consistently big and bold, with lots of fruit and layered complexity. Totally drinkable with or without food. Bonus that the wonderful staff is friendly and knowledgeable! We are always treated like family when we go. read more

I have visited twice now with out of town. We have found the staff to be happy, personable, and eager to get to know us and our interest in wine. The setting is also great. Free Wine Tasting/Friendly Staff…read more What first drew me to Dancing Coyote was their name--sounding whimsical and Southwestern. When we drove up to their site, I wasn't really sure where it was located as the existing buildings looked like old industrial buildings, not your standard winery and tasting room. My partner and I guessed it had been a granary--it was built in 1868 right next to the raIlroad tracks, and was later converted into a winery in the early 1900s. Back then that initial winery became famous for their Port, and also made vinegar and brandy. We sat at the tables outside. I asked the server if anyone was living in the tall granary tower because we had noticed that the windows looked like they were fitted with stained glass. She answered with a chuckle, that only ghosts live there. Dancing Coyote has an interesting history. It is family run, and they have been farming the Delta region for five generations. They grow and harvest the grapes. They also do the crushing, aging and handcrafting the final product. The winemaker uses natural wild yeast that derives from the surfaces of the grapes to actually ferment the products on the flight that we tasted - they were really good and yummy on their own natural merits with a bright finish. Of course, I had to run around and experience this winery's own unique brand with my own eyes and camera in hand. There were several fig trees in which I found a perfectly ripe fig to eat. There was was this orange stuff "growing" on some of the outside walls that I had to touch, and then scratch my head because I couldn't figure out what it was. Near the fig trees, hidden from the eyes of most.of the two-leggeds that visit the winery, is a diagram painted on a rather large propane tank. Who painted it? Was it a human that "dances with coyotes"? I tried and tried to duplicate the dance that the artist painted on the tank. The trickster that painted that mural is probably laughing at the thought of people trying to follow the dance diagram. Their flights were FREE!!! There were four different wines included: 3 whites and 1 red. I usually prefer drinking red over white, however, there was something uncommon with their white wines--a certain kind of freshness/aliveness. I really liked how it felt in my mouth. After tasting those wines she brought three more wines for us to taste. We fell in love with their 2016 Loureiro - a Portuguese varietal. They had a special for $48 for a case, and we snatched it up in a heartbeat. The whole layout is kind of confusing. There are not marked parking spots, and the tasting room isn't the cute wood and glass building, but inside an unmarked garage space. Which has no windows and is truly unfortunate given how gorgeous the rest of the property is. For a Saturday, there wasn't a bottle open for us to taste--the wine room attendant had to open every single one and even had my partner open bottles for her to speed things along; had he not helped, we would've been there over an hour to try the tasting line up. And again, the space is dark and uninviting. You are tucked into the corner of their production space. They need windows so badly as to not make it feel like you're in someone's garage. The wine is pretty good for the most part. The Zin and Syrah were their best offerings and I took a bottle of each home. Unlikely that we'll return though. There are far better options available in the area. Overall a pretty middling experience.

Getting our own private 18-passenger bus for just the three of us was the cherry on top! Jesse met us at our 3rd winery with lunch from Papapavlo's... it was so good, and the carbs were appreciated after two winery stops. Nicole had maps on the bus, and I was so excited to discover how many Lodi wineries are dog-friendly -- denoted by paw prints on the map legend. Now that I know Coche Vino will happily accommodate my doggo on the bus, I am one thousand percent scheduling another tour to bring him along! I would have appreciated a little more communication around the itinerary ahead of our tour. We were asked about our wine preferences, but we didn't receive any winery suggestions and our confirmed itinerary didn't arrive until 6pm the night before our tour. As a Type A planner, it would have done me well to collaborate a bit more on the perfect day together. That said, where they took us was spot-on (Lucas, Michael David, m2, and Heritage Oak) and now I have some baseline knowledge of the Lodi Appellation to proactively make suggestions for the next tour. We had such a nice time, and Coche Vino delivers something really special.

Our guide was fantastic, walking us through each wine with genuine enthusiasm and sharing fascinating insights about Lodi's sustainability standards and M2's eco-friendly practices. The 2021 Soucie Vineyard Zinfandel stole the show for me--peppery, robust, and impeccably balanced. It was a perfect match for the Mediterranean spread we'd brought along. The Tannat I sampled last time around was equally outstanding, showcasing the winery's commitment to quality across their portfolio. M2 is a great spot with a very interesting, eye-catching building that immediately grabs your attention. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly throughout our visit. We opted for bottle service instead of a tasting and ordered their sparkling rosé and a red wine -- both were delicious. The winery is dog- and kid-friendly, which made the experience even better for our group. There's a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a spacious bar area if you prefer to sit inside. M2 Wines offers some of the best rich, bold wines crafted in Lodi. My tasting experience included several wines made by the winemaker, who occasionally visits the tasting room. We had a fantastic experience at M2 Winery in Lodi! The wine was truly excellent--each pour during the tasting was thoughtfully selected and showcased the depth and quality of their offerings. Girlfriends and myself went after meeting "owner" (not listed on website as owner) Jesse James and he gave me a card. Just so happened that he was there the day we came. It was disturbing how creepy this man is. He has no concept of personal space, don't touch unless given permission, and does not understand social cues for "not interested." Watching how he interacts with other female patrons was just as gross. I do not know who this man is and how he came about to have business cards, but it is not good for business. read more
