Puni is an absolute lifesaver and amazing stylist!!! After a scheduling misunderstanding this past Saturday afternoon, she stayed after her last clients to give me the blowout I had scheduled. Not only was that so incredibly nice for her to do, the blowout itself was outstanding. Michael did a good job with the haircut. However it was a challenge to get the new client special that's still listed on the website. He was gonna charge me full price until I asked for the discount. There was also another 10% email discount that I didn't even mention, since I barely got the first one. He said he wasn't in charge of the website. Went in to get partial highlights like I've been doing for years now. Recently moved and this place had a groupon and good reviews. I left and it doesn't look like anything was even done to my hair... Over $100 later... Maybe they do things differently here but usually when I get my hair done, I can't see my roots for another few weeks. But here are my roots about 24 hours... NOT RIGHT. Michael is amazing. I bought a living social voucher for 2 blowouts, and went in for the first one today. The salon is very clean and comfortable. Michael sprayed my hair with Moroccan oil before blow drying it, which made it smell amazing. When he was finished, my hair looked great. It's not like me to write more than one review, but I got the Keratin treatment here on 1/18/13 and after reading about Jennifer's experience, I had to share my own. I bought the Living Social deal for it. Michael and his associate Mario put in the Keratin after discussing the different options (this was my first treatment). There weren't any problems. I hate getting my hair cut. It seems every stylist I go to has no clue how to style and cut my extremely curly hair. I went to see Liz and after explaining what I wanted and showing her a picture she informed me Balayage would be the best bet, so we went for it. For some reason after the procedure my hair was the exact same color- it didn't take. So she offered to try foils instead, which worked perfectly. After ~10 years of having my natural hair color, I decided to try balayage. I was scared and nervous, but Liz Song did a GREAT job on my hair, as well with the cut and blow dry. I did have a few freak out moments and thought about dying my hair all black again, but after about 30 min, calmed down and realized how good it looked. The color is both subtle and sophisticated. GORGEOUS color, cut, and conditioning treatment by Liz Song. I came in with multiple colors in my overly stressed, damaged hair, ranging from auburn to brown to black. I told Liz I wanted silver hair with dimensions, eventually, but would like to go as light as possible this session. Gave her a bit of history about my hair which included Japanese straightening treatments every 3-4 months, and to this, she advised that she would try to get my hair as light as possible with as little damage as possible. We decided on a conditioning treatment after everything's done. We had open communication every step of the way. After lightening, she noticed the colors pulled very well and shared what could be possible at this point. She showed me a picture of an ashy (gray) brown color and I loved it. It came out beautifully! And OMG the conditioning treatment was SUPERB! Such a difference in my hair from when I walked in. The cut was quick and easy. THANK YOU, Liz! I will be back! read more

I don't want the world to find out my secret because then I'll have to wait months for an appointment but here goes. I love Michael. I found him a few years ago and had Keratin done and it's just amazing the differences with him. First, he gets it done rather quickly - under 2 hours as opposed to other places where I've spent as much as 5 hours in a chair. And just because he's time efficient doesn't mean you get a sloppy job, quite the opposite. He really spends time getting every single little wayward hair ironed down so that you can have the next several months frizz-free. He has another person in the salon, Mario, and he's just as careful with the same attention to detail. I've also had cuts at the salon and that also came with outstanding results. I bought the groupon deal and had Mario do my keratin. I loved it! I have been having keratin treatment for a very, very long time. Mario was careful and attentive to details. I have long hair with tight curls and he took his time. My hair was very soft, healthy and shiny after. The GK product they use doesn't get my hair as straight as others. But it is a great treatment that makes my hair manageable, my curls looser and much easier to handle. I loved Mario, I have been to many other places in the area. I got my hair done last week by M studio. My hair looks okay but the customer service was horrific. The stylist was 20 minutes late to start my hair, ordered a pizza with her co-workers and couldn't even be bothered to finish my hair. She just asked if I wanted some finishing products. After I paid, she couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye. She was clearly more interested in eating pizza than dealing with customers. I won't be going back. read more

I booked an appointment at M Studio because I was attending a graduation over the weekend. I guess it was a little brave of me to get a haircut at a place I had never been to right before an event, but I did not regret it. I'm very picky with my haircut and I don't mind pay top dollars for good service but I came here because I'm tried from BS from the fancy salon. Liz really listened to what I wanted ... a blend of color helping to maintain a pretty and healthy look, with hard to cover gray roots.
