What I love about her is the fact that she took her time checking my hair, how to achieve the color I want and the haircut I was aiming for. She was an exceptional colorist, a friend, and felt like family. There was a lovely memorial at the salon. I have included a picture of her station where loving photos adorn the wall. The owner of the salon, Ofeer, is a phenomenal stylist and has a heart of gold. At Yelp we support local businesses and this is just the kind of business we want to support. Yvonne answers the phone and greets you with a warm smile. She is wonderful as she schedules appointments and makes sure clients are happy and satisfied. Mila is a sweetheart. She gives great shampoos. As she massages your scalp you feel so relaxed and pampered. I don't want to leave her chair. Before Barbara passed away, she recommended that I try Angie for my styling needs. I have been going to Angie for the past 3 months. She is sweet, caring, and does a great job. I am happy that I have continued to go to Zohra. The staff is top notch and each works hard to please their clients. It was really hard coming back and not seeing Barbara. I had warned them about this beforehand, but no one ever seems to really take me seriously LOL. In order to not damage my hair Jane took an entire 5 hrs! working on it, and was very patient the entire time. This was both a pro and a con - pro in that my hair did not come out fried, as it often can, but con in that 5 hrs is a really long time to be spending sitting in a hair salon! They made sure I had water and a bathroom break, which was very considerate. Jane seemed very knowledgeable and specifically did different treatments for the parts of my hair that hadn't been permed before vs those that had. The top layer took very well. The cons: Again, 5 hrs... I very much appreciate them not wanting to fry my hair, but maybe a little speeding up could have been done? Also, while the top layer permed well, the bottom didn't really take - see photos. Also, just FYI, but there is no validated parking. It wasn't terrible to pay the garage, but just something to be aware of. Overall I really appreciated all the time and patience they took, to specially alter treatments for different parts of my hair, and try to not damage it. If there is some kind of middle ground to be able to do the perm and have it take completely in all the hair, and with less time, that would be ideal.
