My sister Lafawn recommended I try this nail salon while in Lexington visiting for Thanksgiving. The salon was clean & very relaxing. They were welcoming and I felt at home while Family Fued was played on tv. The prices were reasonable and they did an amazing job on my nails and feet! I usually don't have issues with this nail place. My nail lady is out of town no biggie so another tech did my nails I complained to him in the beginning process that I normally do gel-x he goes to explain that acrylic nails were better for The shape I wanted ok cool cause I had acrylic before. but then as he proceed I wasn't happy with the shape or size of the nail I explained that numerous of times and was told don't worry about he could tell I was upset and didn't care. these nails are ugly and big and very disappointed. Hubby and I went here for pedicures, and I ended up getting my nails done as well. It was the day before Mother's Day, and yes they were very busy, but we never felt rushed, they provide complementary beverages, while in the shop which was very pleasant, the staff was all very friendly and professional, Salon was very clean, and a very welcoming and relaxing environment. *GAVE ME AN INFECTION BECAUSE TECH CUT ME* I visited this nail salon last week and got a pedicure with gel polish and then a gel manicure. Both of my big toes were sore through the week after receiving this pedicure as when I was receiving the pedicure, the nail tech cutdown into the sides of my big toes on both sides and on both feet, causing pain to me on the spot. By the weekend, my left toe was better and no longer sore. My right toe was still sore but I just assumed it was because of the way she cut down into the side and did not think anymore about it. By Monday night the toe was more sore and noticeably red. I decided to give it some more time as I was not sure was was going on as I have never had this happen before. Throughout the day Tuesday, my toe got progressively worse and by Tuesday night I could not put weight on my big toe without excruciating pain. By this point, the toe was very swollen on the right side, extremely red and shiny looking. I took immediate notice to this and was afraid it was infected. Wednesday morning, I went to the doctor regarding my toe and my fears were confirmed, it was infected. The doctor examined my toe and advised me the nail tech had cut down way too far into the skin alongside my toenail with a device that was obviously not sterile and caused an infection in the side of my toe. The doctor gave me treatment instructions and a prescription of very strong antibiotics. I did visit M'laley salon today and requested a refund for my pedicure only, I showed them the doctor note, photos of my toe (they asked to see my toe and I denied that request given the damage they had already caused and being it was covered with a bandaid) and the charge on my bank account proving their salon is where I received the pedicure. They denied my request to be refunded for my pedicure and were EXTREMELY rude to me. I will never be back here and will tell everyone about my AWFUL experience at this unsanitary place. read more
