The person who did my hair, was the owner, and she wasn't outright rude or anything like that. She just seemed like she did not want to be there. She barely talked, barely smiled, and when she did it felt force. When I went to the trial, at first I thought it was just the day and she had other things going on, but then when he wedding came I got that same feeling again. Like i said, she was not rude at all but I just can't give more than 3 stars cause I feel like the owner of a business should be more friendly with clients. I don't know if it was just me and maybe I'm not her typical client or if it's like this with all clients. I don't regret using them. They were in my price range and nothing effected my wedding day, but if I had I higher budget I would go with someone a little more friendly. I'd just rather have had someone who I felt wanted to be there instead of feeling like she just wanted to get it over with. Jennifer is definitely current on the trends and she can replicate a look almost flawlessly. I looked throughout the Triangle for a stylist who would travel to my Virginia wedding and do make-up AND hair (different styles for everyone!) for 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 1 grandma, and me at an affordable rate. Jennifer definitely met those requirements and my expectations. She was on-site and ready to go and kept close to the schedule; she got a little delayed with the last two appointments, but those included my flustered mother-in-law and my equally flustered grandmother, so I can understand why! When I met with Jennifer for a trial, she put Mom and me at ease with friendly chit-chat and she checked in for feedback as we went through each step of the makeover. Her calm and positive energy didn't waver on the big day and I really think her unfailing patience under pressure made her one of the more outstanding vendors I worked with. I set up my session back when my life was normal, back before my husbands cancer diagnosis. But how…read moreeasily life can take a turn and within weeks it was doctors appointments, chemo and scans. So I went back and forth on rescheduling. But I knew a part of me wanted so feel normal for a little bit. I kept my date and was excited before I got in. Once I got inside a) it's beautiful, the space just screams sexy and relax! B) the atmosphere that Karen creates there is so positive and energetic! I was starting to get excited, had my makeup done and looked amazing same with my hair! Then on to picking out the outfit an getting ready to start! Any anxiety or fear disappeared! I felt finally like the woman I had been before kids, before cancer. Karen made sure to help me look my best and feel my best with each photo. After the shoot we got to see the pictures and WOW! I have never been so happy to see my pictures taken. I felt so empowered and ready to take on the world. I hope to do it again as it's the funnest self car thing I've ever done for myself!
