The young girl who did my pedicure was very nice. However, it might be the worst pedicure I have ever received. Not to mention, how slow she was. I am almost certain she pretended to do my cuticles. She went through the motions, but never actually cleaned them up. The polish is streaky, and I paid for a no chip. My nails were also uneven and not smooth, I had to file my toe nails when I got home, as well as peel away the no chip paint left around my toes on my skin. Unfortunately, I will never return, and I will not recommend this salon to anyone. Lastly, as I walked out, past the owner at the front, he didn't say a word. No "thank you", or "good bye"... and I was the last customer in the salon. read more

If I could give one star, I would. went in because I was in town for a dip mani and no chip pedi. I picked a color to match.. exact matching color. When it was finished, the color was so off, and they tried to tell me it was a manufacturer issue. Did not offer to remedy situation. Tried 4 different colors to try and match , and it didn't work. I asked them to take it off, I came for a matching set. she took the polish off my feet and asked if I wanted anything else... um yes, a matching mani pedi.... would never reccomend. took 2.5 hours out of my day off. I don't know where all these slanderous reviews are coming from but I got both a manicure and a pedicure and I couldn't be more pleased with the service, my technician was so nice to me and I felt very comfortable where I was at. I have been coming here for years and I must say the place is kind of falling part. Needs some serious cleaning, sprucing up. The constant chit chatting between technicians and complete avoidance of conversation with clients has really gotten out of control. I know most people, me included, usually go for pedicures to relax and not engage with anyone but a common hi, how are you, would be phenomenal. This was my first time ever to get a pedicure. Went with a friend who talked me into it. My friend had been many times for pedicures and to several places. She was UNDER impressed. Couple things right off the bat, the smell was very, very strong. They need to improve their ventilation. We told them there were two of us, but only one person came to take care of us. I sat for over an hour waiting while my friend got hers while several employees sat around in an empty shop. When we asked who was going to do mine, we kept getting the same response, "one minute, it will just be one minute". In all it took nearly 2 hours for two pedicures. In general it was nice, I would do it again, just not here. There are way too many options out there to settle for slow or inadequate service. Just a tip for the rest of you men out there..... don't hesitate to go with your lady for a pedicure. Its very relaxing, they do all the work and you get to spend a little quiet time with your lady. They are rude and it smells so heavy there , every time I get my nails done they stain FOR NO REASON I literally don't do anything for my nails to stain but every color I've had stained and they are overall con artists because I said before I want my acrylics off and I had a headache that day and I was watching tv next thing I know the acrylics are being put back on for a new set and I said oh I didn't want these and she said okay so what color and ignored what I wanted and overcharged me so I'm over it I'm done going there and they're rude even on the phone so that's a no go. I've been going here for years, and though like another reviewer mentioned they do not speak much English, I don't mind it at all. Their work is high quality. I can't find another salon like them and I've tried every one from Lockport to Oak Park. I usually get a Brazilian done there and the woman who owns the business does an absolutely fantastic job, never a spot left out, and she's quick and uses good wax and products. When they do my eyebrows they REALLY take their time with perfection, which I like. I also get pedicures done with the designs as well, which are always very beautiful and very well done. When my friends and I leave it looks like we just have lovely works of art decorating our toes. I messed up my toes once while leaving and they fixed them for free. I feel comfortable and welcome; I highly recommend this place. read more

Absolutely love coming here for Tiffany ! She does a phenomenal job every single time. She is the only one who knows how to do my nail shapes and gets them done nicely. Just ok. Price went up from $25 to $27 but they tell you when you pay along with a $2 file & buffer you MUST buy due to covid. Interestingly, they use the same pumice stone for the bottom of your feet on everybody. Doesn't make sense. So $4 not a big deal but they should tell you when you make your appointment. I went in before homecoming to get gel extensions and a pedicure. they looked fine, no problems there. a few days later I noticed air bubbles under a few nails. then 3 nails just popped off. even worse, they all fell off while doing every day activities. this morning I went back to have the rest removed. I read online that to remove gel nails, they're to be soaked in a solvent and practically wiped away. what did the nail tech do? trimmed the tips away and pried the rest of the nail off with another fake nail. it hurt like crazy and my nails still hurt after over an hour later. yet they charged me $8. I proceed to pay with my debit card, only to be told they can't run a debit card for less than $10. I don't even carry cash, do I had to tip $2 for something that hurt and made my nails look crappy. The employees barely speak English, the bathroom was dirty and didn't have any soap, not even an empty dispensor. The girl doing my nails nicked my cuticle twice causing it to bleed, she put some unknown blue stuff on it which stinged a lot and kept working. I doubt they use the disinfector enough as all tools should be autoclaved if they come into contact with blood, and the machine was not working while I was there and they were busy. I think I prefer a salon where they open a fresh set of tools in front of you. read more

This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to! The male staff member that performed my pedicure was unprofessional, rude and even pushed my foot aside. The place was filthy and they have the nerve to overcharge as well. I contracted a rash on my leg afterwards and I am now being treated by my Dermatologist. The Will County Health Department needs to investigate this establishment and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation as well. I have been to every nail salon in Lockport None have impressed me. M & T Nails has been my choice by default. Until yesterday. I got a pedicure (okay, not great) and then a fill in for acrylic nails. I have a huge CONCERN for how this situation was handled. The nail tech cut two cuticles with the grinder to where I was bleeding. It happens sometimes, that's not the issue. What she did next is my concern. She took no safety or hygenic measures. She even brushed my bleeding cuticles with the oil and returned the brush to the bottle. WHAT? If this is procedure, that bottle can contain the blood of previous customers and now that oil containing who knows what has been brushed on my open skin! Disgusting! I intend to notify the Will County Health Department. I will not return to this establishment and you shouldn't either. On a side not, and not nearly as important, the fill in was less than spectacular. My nails are pitted and oddly shaped. Terrible job. read more

I love this place!!! M&T nails has never failed me. I usually get a classic pedicure and no chip manicure but I've decided to go outside my circle and did a upgraded pedicure. I did a lavender pedicure and I loved it!! Well worth the money. I love that it came with hot stones AND the paraffin wax. My no chip always last longer than 2 weeks! Joyce and Sandy are amazing! The only down fall is it is always busy on the weekends and I always get told me it won't be a long wait but I always end up waiting for a while. I wish they would tell their customers how long the wait really is but other than that they really take their time and make you feel comfortable. read more

Went in for the first time today and I will NEVER return!!! I asked for gel nails which are more expensive. They put on tips and acrylic powder And called it gel nails. I didn't know this until I got home and talked to my friend and did my research. So I paid double for a service I did not receive. The salon was dirty as I was soaking my feet I should of left(yuck) I am home now and realize how sloppy my nails and feet look!! This place was filthy inside. The older lady doing my nails had no clue with what she was doing. She took a long time to file my nails and they still weren't straight( squared shape ) the left a huge gap between my cuticle and my nail to where the no chip didn't look like it was just done. This place is awful. Went in for a manicure 12/23/12. The guy doing it was very disinterested. He was taking the cuticle trimmer and making it look like he was trimming my cuticles when in actuality he was not. I said something and it did not get better. He was rushing because one of his "regulars" was waiting for him. He proceeded to polish my nails. The looked okay but chipped off almost completely the next day. Total waste of my time and my money.
