Never ever again for the New Lenox location. Over the past few years living right down the block, I have tried multiple times because we really want the location to work, especially since it's so close to home and it seems rather mom and pop. Now that my daughter is at the age that she can walk down and get her nails done with her friends. I want to be able to let her but after what she had done yesterday and after my stressing my disappointment and upset, I have to be done. My daughter's nails look like she has legit dirt sealed underneath her clear acrylic. For some reason, the technician that she had refused to use a colored or tinted acrylic. ABSOLUTE NO!! My nails have never looked worse! I asked for royal blue French tip. and the french is all lopsided. You can see my real nail underneath! And there's a random odd line across all my fingers by my cuticle. These have to be the worst nails I've ever gotten EVER!! And not to mention they are rough! Want a foot fungus, this is your place. UNSANITARY AND USES REUSED NAIL TOOLS. I came here a couple weeks ago for a classic pedicure and that was my first mistake. I would come here all the time for a cheap no chip manicure and wouldn't complain with the occasional nicks and unprofessional manner to save a buck. However, this is an exact example of what happens when you try to save money. I know have two nail funguses, one on each big toe. I consistently had acrylic nail breakage here. I stopped coming here for that reason.

This place was very clean, very friendly. Me and my friend went in for pedicures. We only had to wait about 15 minutes. But it took us about that long to decide what color to get. Lol Personally it was the best pedicure I got for the price. I'm giving 4 stars because the paint job was not the best. Usually anywhere else I go a basic pedicure runs around $35 without a tip. Their basic pedicure was $28 for a soak, file, shape, lotion leg massage, hot stones and paraffin. Of course obviously the painting of your toes as well. My friend had a much better person that I did. She couldn't stop raving. But, she also got an attractive guy to work on her feet and massage her legs. Lol My girl seemed like she was in a rush. However, I will 100% go back to this place. It's worth it for the price. I can always repaint my toes or do touch ups at home without having to do all the work they did, myself. I highly recommend. I Love this place!!! Most places have you pick from several different pedicure deals, and are always trying to talk yo up in price. Not here, here you just get a top notch Deluxe pedi. You get an awesome leg massage, Hot Rocks, prior to Covid you also got hot wax, all for one price, which is lower than most places and you get everything.. So relaxing.. They did an Amazing job setting up for the new Guidelines, with plastic shower curtains surrounding the client while they get their nails done.. Great job Hanancy!! read more

This is the first time out since i had my baby and i wanted to treat myself and get my nails done. I had to get a babysitter and I went to go get my nails done. I just wanted to get a regular manicure the technician who did my nails was half a$$ing it and rushing when the place wasn't even busy and it looks like I did my nails at home. They looked streaky and on top of it she got nail polish on my skin around the nail. She said she was done and told me to sit under the light and didn't even take off the nail polish on my skin until I had to ask her too. I love coming to Hanacy! Always a first class, excellent manicure. For myself, I like pink and white gel. My daughter loves the no-chip and says it will last at least two weeks or more. The staff is wonderful and provide personalized service to each client Though this is only my third time here, it's only because I live in Florida. We came here because the salon supported the New Lenox Library fundraiser and I wanted to support them in kind. My daughter and I got mini pedis and gel manis. The staff were welcoming and friendly; and the mini pedi was fantastic! I really felt taken care of here as opposed to some other places in town who run you through like an assembly line. Back to Hanancy's today- I hope that Megan will always be there to care for my Mani's and Pedi's as she is so cheerful and talented. I was preparing for foot surgery this week and as Megan massaged, I noticed that she must have been very well trained; she skillfully massages my feet without any disturbance to the neroma. It's always such a pleasant experience going to Hanancy's and today was no exception. Back today for acrylic nails (11 April 11) Everyone seemed so happy to see me. They even noticed that I had colored my hair and I didn't change the color by much, my hubby hadn't noticed. Since I had had foot surgery the brought up a chair for me to put my foot on, brought me water as I was really tired coming from the dr in Chicago, and they wanted to know all about the surgery. I really love these ladies. These Chinese ladies are so nice and they all speak English and were sharing recipes with me today, too. Their prices are still very in tack. I had the chip-less polished acrylic nails at $32.00 and they also gave me a hand massage! I'm so grateful to have found them!!! Even if I have to go out of my way, they are so very worth it. What I love about Hanancy Nails is that I get the best of both worlds: a nice environment with great service for inexpensive prices! I just moved to the area about 3 months ago and tried a different place first. It was an OK experience, and the woman was kinda pushy and annoying. Then I found Hanancy. These women are very sweet but allow you to just relax if you prefer. I don't always feel like chatting when I'm getting my nails done - it is usually time "away" for me. This place I genuinely liked until today.. I had such a bad experience there and now don't want to go back. I asked for a design and I ended up not liking it. I am going on a vacation in a couple days so obviously wanted my nails to look good. Most people would not complain, but I decided to be a bigger person and complain. I have never received such bad customer service ever. The sweet guy told me they would redo them and I would get something else instead. The lady that did my nails ran over and told me "they were busy" so they couldn't redo my nails. I am a paying customer and would like to have my nails done the way I want. It was so disrespectful. They were not busy at the time either. I asked her multiple times as well to just take the color off and paint them instead and she kept telling me "no" until I firmly said I wanted them just painted. This place is horrible. They so everything super fast and miss out on all the important details pedicures are some super quick. They don't spend much time on buffing or massaging but let you sit there wrapped in wax and towels while they work on someone else. The fill ins are never consistent, nails different sizes, thickness, they crack in days or lift off natural nail. When they color or add clear coat it is never over entire nail so there are always bare spots. Got a fill in and color 2 days ago and my nails turned light brown, and both my girls nail polishes fell off on chunks. I went in to have them fix and she said she can't guarantee polish, even if 1 day later, and that I had to do something to make my nails brown that it isn't her fault. So I asked to have her attempt to clean and recoat with clear once dried the clear had air bubbles and black specs (which had happened to me when I got my original set French manicure) and she blamed me that my nails were dirty? How I'd that possible if you just washed and filled in and painted the set? Whatever I am so over this place. My family all had gone there but stopped due to service and I was the only one that decided to stay to help the local business but not anymore done wasting my money and time...on to the next. I get no chip about every 2 weeks, I've been to many local salons and this place literally doesn't chip! Im pretty rough on my nails and usually end up cracking them if they get too long BUT the no chip stays true. Okay so I gave this nail salon quite a few chances in hopes it would redeem itself. First off, the tools they use when doing nails never seem to be sanitized. I asked Gene if they sanitize their tools and she just laughed while rushing to get my nails done. Ladies, if we take the time and spend the money to get them done, why should it be rushed? Also while I have gotten my nails done, the person doing mine will stop and say 1 min while they start someone else's. It's beyond frustrating. First time here, nice atmosphere, nice nail polish selection. Went to sit in my chair to get a pedicure & right from the beginning the girl cut my toe with those sharp little cutters. I knew it from the beginning because she was rough with it. Then she puts alcohol on it & tries to finish it up while my toe is bleeding & throbbing. She still wants me to stick my foot in the water. I was like no way. Then her boss some big butch lady that works the front desk tried to come in & finish the job as if that was going to make it better. I asked her to stop & just paint my nails, I was in pain & didn't want to finish the pedicure with an open cut. So she painted my nails, horribly, & sent me on my way! Seriously the worst experience ever I will never come back or give any recommendations! I called two hours prior asked to make an appointment for three manis and two pedis at 12:30 the lady said ok and hung up on me, didn't ask for my name or anything. Ok so my friends and I get there at 12:30 they put us in a chair where I waited for over 45 minutes and my friend waits for over an hour and a half. The whole time I am getting my pedicures the ladies keep moaning and groaning about what people want and making everyone getting serviced uncomfortable.
