Don't let the older male do acrylic because when he did it on me i asked for a nude or pink acrylic or nude gel on top with a black french tip, and he gave me clear acrylic black french tip with matte top coat, but he might have not understood what i asked for. This used to be the best place to get my nails done. Tommy always made you feel very welcomed and appreciated. Now that Tommy has taken a break and Nina is in charge things have gone haywire. They've become money hungry and you can't relax because you're being rushed. They don't have enough employees for as much business as they get. As soon as you walk in and tell them what you want, you're being told to pick a color and it'll be five minutes. That is not always true. Then if people are constantly coming in they rush you; instead of telling them to come back another time. And listen to your client. This is supposed to be a relaxing moment for a woman. I know that they are not fluent in English but that speaking in their own language, holding full conversations, may not be talking about me but I don't know that! The last of my complaints is again this is a spa experience and a place for women to relax. Open on Sundays half a day for parents that want to bring their kids. read more

I went in for a pedicure and acrylic full set . The pedicure was nice up until the lady knicked my cuticle and made it bleed. It wasn't painful so I just ignored it. But then she did my full set.... not only did she knick two fingers and made them bleed, she did it with the dremel!! She was also going to put the wrong color polish on my mail even though i wanted the same color she did on my toes. She also missed a spot on my real nail with the acrylic and decided to file my real nail down to the bed and now the nail looks unnaturally shaped. Thought I'd give this place a try, and I regret it. I paid $110 for no chip pedicure and no chip acrylic full set, wasn't worth it! read more

I was having new tires installed around the corner so I decided to give this place a try and get a no chip manicure. I've had enough manis and pedis to know that this was by far, the worst no chip I've ever received. It may look ok and I can't speak to how it will hold up but my cuticles aren't completely cleaned up and he did zero lotion on my fingers and around my cuticles where I needed it most given that it's the dead of winter in chicago. My hands are still dry as can be!! Plus I love a little hand massage and I got nothing! Save yourself $35 and find a better nail salon!! read more

If I could give secret nails 10 stars I would. I've been getting my nails done by the owners for longer than the salon has been opened and I absolutely adore them. The salon is clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and my dip manicures last a month sometimes! I get the lavender pedicure each time and it is amazing. You get a sea salt massage, a lotion massage, and paraffin wax on your feet all for $40. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from and always take their time and do their best. read more

Their equipment is unclean and they do not listen to a word you say when you tell them you do not want your ingrown toenails cut down so that they become even more painful and grow infected. Horrible place! It's been a while. but I was here and they splashed nail polish on my Coach bag. I told them and expected an apology, maybe a discount ... Instead they insisted I must have done it myself as they looked for smudges or flaws on my fingernails. Even after seeing none they insisted it wasnt there fault when it was obvious that it was a splash.. It was a struggle just to get them to help me TRY to get it off with nail polish remover ....never went back!!! This happened because they painted my nails while getting a pedi with my arm/hand just hanging there.... Talk about uncomfortable. I have been here 3 times over the past 3 months and can say that the salon is clean and the people are very welcoming, friendly, efficient, and do a great job! I brought my daughter with me on my last visit and she loved the creative designs on her fingers and toes. I have yet to find a nail place that I have loved in this area, but this location had to be the worst of them all. I originally thought that maybe my nail tech was having an off day, but when my friend also received the same horrible service I knew something was off. To begin, we had 2 mani appointments set for 6 pm. I arrived a little bit earlier, and even after stating multiple times I wanted to wait for my friend they were persistent about me starting before she arrived because they were going to get busy. I was able to stall for the most part but got a roll of the eyes from the tech as well as a huff and she walked to the back while saying something and pulled out her phone. When my friend arrived and we were ready to start, the tech looked at me angrily like I was bugging her and said "oh you're ready now?" I had my nails perfectly filed and ready to go, they just needed a quick cuticle clean up and no-chip polish. In the 16 years I have gotten manicures I have never been cut so badly to the point of bleeding, which she didn't care. The final total came to $35 to have my cuticles cut, no-chip polish and a dab of lotion on my hands. I asked why I wasn't being charged the $25 for just the polish because that is basically what I received. When I think of having a manicure I assume that they massage with lotion or oil your hands and arms, but nope not this place. Chicago prices for hole in the wall work. I highly recommend not coming to this location as this was just my experience, my friend had similar with a different technician. They wouldn't even give me a discount for cutting almost every one of my cuticles and making me bleed. FYI, they didn't get busy! 1 person walked in as she was finishing me up and they didn't have to wait at all! read more

This was a horrible experience for many reasons. The staff speaks to each other in Vietnamese and ignores customers. Customers use cell phones loudly in pedi chairs with no one stopping them. This place is amazing. Have yet to have a bad experience I have been going for about a little over a year now. I have neuropathy in my legs and this is the first place in years that has not treated me like a I have a disease. I have no feeling in my right foot and my right leg is red and from no circulation. I am only 37. I have had several different techs and none of them make me feel uncomfortable! I have now had my sisters go there who go more often then I do. They remember about you. When I did go in they asked about my sisters heart surgery. I love this place. So friendly. Don't listen to those old comments. It is not like that any more. read more

One of the worst nail salon experiences I have ever had. Not only did she use non-sterile equipment to remove an ingrown toenail that she did not ask me if I wanted removed. But they ground my nails so badly that I had cuts and bleeding on almost all of my fingers and my fingers were sore for almost a week afterwards. I had brought in my own bottle of OPI DS extravagance nail polish for my pedicure. She told me I did not want to use my nail polish that I should use their gel polish because it would last longer and set my nail polish next to her on the table. After numerous attempts to dry the nail polish on my toes and having the dryers not work she moved me to a different table and another dryer only to have my nails smudged repeatedly. Then they moved me to the manicure table where my fingers nails were ground so roughly that I had cuts and bleeding on almost all of my fingers. After the gel nails were applied my fingers were tender and sore for at least a week afterwards. I was going out of town the following day. I realized at that time that the girl doing my pedicure never returned my unopened, unused bottle of expensive nail polish. I called the store only to be told they did not carry that nail polish, did not have my nail polish, and did not know where my nail polish was. I was then told that I could drive all the way back out to New Lenox to look through all of their nail polish to see if I could find the nail polish in their store. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone it was a very upsetting and disturbing experience to say the least. I also lost a $10 bottle of nail polish to someone working in their store as it was sitting right next to her on her table where her equipment was when I left the store. read more

This place is horrible. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I came in and the person at the desk asked me what I was getting. I responded saying a full set. I sat and watched 2 people come in and get serviced before me. I went back to the guy and said did he know how much longer I would have to wait. His response was what are you getting again...didn't even know what I was getting, so I probably would have been waiting a lot longer if I didn't say anything. So then finally a woman starts working on my hands. After putting on every 2 nails she would go do something else; running other people's foot baths, etc. So finally after she got all 10 nails on she placed out the acrylic. I was like i want them cut down, I didn't want the length of the entire fake nail they put on at first. She replied I always put the acrylic on and then cut down. I thought that was weird because I think it would be harder to cut once the nail got hard. I let her do it her way. All while she is doing MY nails she is talking to EVERYONE else worried about what they need and want. So after she put the acrylic on she cut the first nail down to the nub. Every shop I went to never puts the acrylic on first and also they cut a little and ask do you want it shorter. She probably wasn't paying attention to my nail when she was cutting. I was like hey that's super short. She said you wanted them short. I wanted them cut down from the original length of the full nail. I kid you not with her cutting this nail it was shorter than my actual real nail. So of course since she put the acrylic on the nails were already hard. I was so upset and frustrated that I just let her finish and said I would never come back. All my nails are now shorter than my real nails and these are supposed to be fake acrylic nails. If I wanted that I could have just got an overlay on my real nails. If she paid more attention to my nails and what I was telling her maybe they would have turned out better. I have never done a review on here but after this experience I had to. I don't want ANYONE to have to deal with this. I understand they run a business but I'm a paying customer just like everyone else and she really was not focusing on my nails at all. read more
