I was in the area on a random Wednesday morning and decided to stop in for a manicure and pedicure. I didn't have an appointment, so I was a walk-in. It was extremely crowded for a weekday morning, but I decided to wait. A male nail tech greeted me and said the wait would be about 25 minutes. I picked the colors I preferred and took a seat. The wait was about 30 minutes, just like I was told. The front area of the salon felt cramped because it was so crowded, but it was reasonably comfortable and quiet. Most of the customers appeared to be middle-aged housewife types and/or college-aged kids. All the nail techs were polite, but most of them didn't seem eager to engage with customers, which is fine. Anyway, the male tech that initially greeted me eventually told me I could go to the back. A sweet young lady ended up working with me. I don't recall her name, but she appeared to be younger. She did a nice job on my nails. She did my pedicure first, and when it was time to do my manicure, we couldn't find the color I'd selected. Someone had picked it up and walked off with it, so I ended up having to pick another color. The nail tools that were used were sterilized, and the salon appeared to be clean. The manicure and pedicure cost $55, which is fairly reasonable. I didn't have any cash on me, so I was able to tip my nail tech via Zelle. I tip generously when the service is good, so I sent her $20. The young lady took her time, and the service didn't feel rushed, which was appreciated. I'd definitely return to TLC Nails in the future. read more

Nail technicians do not listen. I ask for my natural finger nails to be trimmed down a little and the tech cut them vs. trimming them. He cut them way too short. The lady who did my pedicure shaped my toe nails round when I asked for them to be square then she sent a man to polish my nails and he did a very sloppy job. When I brought it up he told me that the surface of my nails was the issue with his sloppiness. He didn't even try to fix it. I had to walk out. Worst service ever. read more

I can't even begin to imagine how someone could leave a bad review for TLC Nails. I have been coming here since they opened and even after moving downtown, I still make the hour trip out to come here. I'll admit I can be particular about how my nails are done, but they always exceed my expectations. Since coming here, my standards have been set so high that everywhere else is just disappointing. Very disappointed, been going here for almost 2 years. Last weekend scheduled a appointment for removal of nails and a new set, nails were growing out it was close to 3 months since my last set was put on. I was told by owner that I get my nails removed to soon, I felt embarrassed by his comments, my real nails were very long splitting away from the tips that is why I wanted them removed. The male technician who did my nails rushed threw the procedure as he had someplace else to go, filed my real nails down so hard I had scabs around 3 fingers, he maneuvered my hands and fingers very ruff, he seemed mad threw the whole procedure. I was so shocked and put back by his and the manager's attitude. I will not go back again if you cannot treat your clients with respect and dignity then you lost 3 clients. I started coming here when it opened a few years ago since it's near my house and I can honestly say that I love it here! They are always really nice and get the job done well. Also, their wax services are good as well. When you get a pedi, you can choose a variety of different options that you want (ex. Lavender pedicure or hot stone) and they give you such nice massages!! This salon is filled with the most rude and un accommodating people. Staff is very rude on the phone. I requested a certain person and they say nope , sorry not available. I say ok thanks! There was never an offer to put me with someone else or schedule for a different day. I have given this place a pass thinking the first time was just a bad day/timing. But it never changes. I went in for a dip and a pedicure for me and my daughter. This place does have friendly service. I fell they could've done a better job on my nails. Each time I type a letter with my thumb it feels awkward. It's just a round nail that resembles a ball. It's irritating the crap out of me. As for my pedicure; it could've been better. Cuticles weren't pushed back and he cut my toe nails on an angle. Ehhh. I won't be back. I am still trying to find a really nice nail salon. Any suggestions anyone? Well, I just have to repeat how amazing TLC is! I have been coming here since they opened along with my daughter, sister, niece, friends, etc.! I do have a bit of a drive but it is so worth it. My latest find here is the $60 pedicure! Ladies, it is worth every penny! I normally get the $45 milk and honey or lavender one, but then I tried THIS! I go here often but it's because there aren't many good nail salons. I have been cut many times& given wonky acrylics. But they are usually very kind and on occasion do a really good job. I often question how sanitary it is... the acrylic nail tools look like they have never been cleaned. Also the workers do not wear mask or gloves. read more

So I am in the middle of my first pedicure here. I had the no chip done three weeks ago that lasted the longest of any no chip I've ever had. Great choices of color for no chip. It was relaxing. Very comfortable, well done and I was super satisfied with everything. Recently wasn't getting great service with LA or Lee nails down the street and decided to give these guys a chance. I truly hope their level of services doesn't decline after being open for a while like those two did. Anyways... TLC nails is amazing! I have gotten my nails done by Zoey for years and when I found out she opened her own place I was ecstatic! I brought my bridal party of 7+ girls and said I wanted to set up a table with snacks. They brought in extra people to accommodate my group and had us all out of there no joke within 2 hours. Most places just try to cram groups in with walk ins and this was not the case--Zoey had people working specifically for our group and then had people to handle walk in clients.They were even kind enough to set up a beautiful table with flowers for my finger foods and provided the girls with water as well. They were helpful getting my girls a plate when they were getting serviced as well. Every bridesmaid was beyond pleased with their nails and toes AND the pricing!
