The word gross best describes this nail salon. I'm new to Lockport and have been there twice and will not be going back. The pedicure bowl was dirty, the floors are disgusting, everything is unkept and dusty. On top of worrying about a staph infection the entire time I was there, my pedicure chipped in 2 days. Honestly, disregard whatever review you may have read about this place. This is a GREAT salon and they do EXCELLENT work! My friend, her mom, and sister have been going to this salon for years and I am now a client as well. I mean just look at my nails! Hot right the staff is friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and the vibe is super chill. Andy did my nails and he was quick, precise, and did a great job. Not to mention he had me laughing my entire visit! I told him I wanted to do something cool on my middle finger, and he freestyled this design and I am very pleased with the results. 10/10 would recommend. A+. High marks. If you are still doubting going to this salon, quit playing yourself and get to City Nails ASAP. You'd be doing yourself a favor. read more

Because I work with my hands I tend to treat myself to a manicure weekly so, decided to try this place out last week. I have never been so disappointed in a manicure. The nail tech who did my nails was very nice but that is about all that she had going for her. I explained I wanted my nails very short, she hardly trimmed them. I asked her to trim them more and again barely took anything off. She filed them and buffed them poorly leaving them jagged. Annoyed I asked to see the buffer and attempted to even them out myself. During this time another (very rude) tech came over and stood over me. Eventually she asked what was wrong and I explained my nails needed more buffing. She just walked away. The tech continued to poorly do my manicure skipping steps and barely cleaning any of the skin from around my nails. She put a tiny bit of lotion on rubbed it in (no massage? Isn't that the best part?!) when she was done with that she rubbed my nails with acetone or whatever they use and just immediately started painting them! No washing! Just truly disappointed. The whole time the tech was doing my nails the rude tech was laughing (insanely loud/rudely) about something she was looking at on her phone. She kept taking selfies of herself. At one point she started shouting about some attractive guys that walked by. She even sat down in a chair in the middle of the room and started face timing someone! How totally unprofessional! Between the quality and service I will never ever consider returning!!! read more

Stopped in for the first time since I was around the area and was due for a pedicure. Always give places the benefit of the doubt...but this place is TERRRRRIBLE. One of the worst pedicures I've ever gotten. Asked for square got round tie nails. My dry skin was left on my toes around the cuticles which made it look so sloppy like if I did my nails myself!! Asked them to fix it but at that point I was already very unsatisfied. Will never return again. read more

I visited on a Monday. There was 1 other customer getting acrylic nails. I went in for a no chip. Throughout my manicure, the nail tech was preoccupied with other clients who walked in. I'm usually very forgiving of this, because they had few staff on and it's important to greet each person however she ended up smudging my thumb because she was hurrying. When I asked her to redo the nail she filed off the smudge and just applied a layer over the other polish. The nail was far from nice looking. Now, 1 week later my nails are peeling off. I've never had a no chip mani that lasted less than 2 weeks, let alone 1 week. Don't waste your $30 on a mani here. read more

My daughter got her nails done by a male, while waiting for her nails to dry her became impatient for payment. He asked where the money was she pointed to her back pocket. He then proceeded to reach in and take it out of her pocket himself!! He claims she gave him permission to take the money out, my daughter never gave him permission to do this. If you go to this nail salon make sure to pre-pay or have your money easily accessible so they don't have to touch you anywhere on your body! read more

How does this place have ANY business?! They did such a terrible job on my friends full set. They were uneven unfiled and she hasn't even had them for 12 hours and 1 popped completely off. The Polish was allllllllllll over her fingers. It looks like you hired a bunch of sweat shop children to do shitty work. Employees were fighting, or not working. Just a terrible place. I would never get my nails done here again. They are thieves. read more

Everyone was very nice and overall my nails look good. I am not one to usually complain, but there were a few things I did not enjoy about my experience. I have gotten several no chips from a lot of places, and there were several steps skipped or done in a way that I did not care for. I already had a no chip on, so I needed it taken off before a new one was put on. Usually when I get a no chip taken off (excuse my lack of technical terms here), the top layer is kind of shaven off with the electrical tool. Then the rest is chipped off after my nails have been soaked in acetone. This time, my whole no chip was being taken off with the electrical tool/shaver. It was shaved so close to my skin/nails that it was hitting nerves and it was very painful. I've never expected a manicure to be painful. My nails were also filed VERY roughly, which was also a little painful, and my nails did not end up smooth at all. There was cotton stuck in my nails from not being buffed properly and it just got painted over. I basically had to refile all of my nails when I got home because there were chunks taken off the top and they were very jagged and sharp. read more
