RestoPros was the team that did this for us. Kamran has repaired flood damage three times for us from water seeping through our basement walkout…read moredoors. He has always been responsive and brings the proper tools for the job. He pulled our carpet back, removed the soaked padding, tested for degree of water saturation in the concrete and used fans, dehumidifier and an air scrubber for mildew. He left the equipment for several days. When he came back he re-tested, installed new padding and pulled the carpet back into place. He installs new tack strips if needed. Lessons learned - it's best if you can remove as much water as possible before he gets there. Use a wet/dry shop vac or rug shampoo unit you can rent from a grocery store. This last flooding event occurred while we were away for Labor Day and the water saturated our concrete. Even then, Kamran resolved our issue and prevented the spread of mildew. There is no noticeable smell.
