Anna was wonderful. She greeted me when I stepped in the store and she told me she would be around if I needed any assistance. I picked up the loose leaves and biscuits and Anna upon knowing they were meant as a birthday gift, offered to gift wrapped them for me. The items were packed in a box and very nicely wrapped. I basically bought what I love and I was so glad the birthday boy really loved the items from Fortnum & Mason too. It is hard to know anyone who would appreciate something or anything from F&M as much as I do. I would add another star if this store carries more Fortnum & Mason items, hint hint: those shortbread ;)

North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, GA (706) 216-5211 (this is the outlet location) I prefer this store because of the sales associate's down to Earth approach to their merchandise. Not everyone (myself included) is knowledgeable about most of the items that W-S sells. I do think most people need some education before they will plop $350 on a German made sauce pan no matter how gorgeous it might look. This is where I think this particular store in The Avenue gets it right. They educate the consumer first and then let you decide. For example do you know why a person would use a stainless steel sauce pan as opposed to a non-stick? I didn't when I came here. I just thought it was a personal preference...apparently it's more than that...its about what you're cooking...but that's what's great about this store is that the folks here will explain all of this stuff to you without any pretentious snobbiness or judgement. In fact many years ago I bought my first big girl chef's knife here after I spent 20 minutes with a very nice sales person. (I previously had been using a $8 knife that I thought I bought from a street vendor.) I still use it everyday and it still cut like I bought it just the other day...so that old saying you get what you pay for is true in this case. You really do get what you pay for here at Williams-Sonoma.

NEW AT AVALON! While…read moreexploring the new shops in Avalon I had to stop in and explore the new Williams Sonoma store which has only been open for three weeks. I am assuming that it is the former North Point Store that simply relocated in to an expanded space. It is absolutely beautiful and this store has a special home department that featured a sofa and swatches that you might find in an upholstery shop. What's up with that? Perhaps they are expanding their brand. Awesome! I really love browsing and looking at all of the cookware, utensils, appliances, table linens and more. Now that Mother's Day is just around the corner they will be featuring several items such as the Vitamix mixer (on sale now), so it is time to start dropping hints. I really love just standing in the gadget department and staring at all of the new items that are now taking the place of the multi-functional spoon. Amazing! How did we ever make it without them? I am always tempted to purchase something more but the reality is that I prefer to prepare my ingredients and food by hand and keep it simple. It is time for me to look at replacing my cookware but I always feel so overwhelmed with the different types and brands that I will have to come in and consult after doing the research. I am curious as to what they use in their test kitchen and would want to see a demo. I do hope that they will make it a point of doing just that as it would be helpful in the decision-making process. This is the perfect store for dressing your table from head to toe especially if you plan on hosting mom for Mother's Day. For those special occasions, I like a touch of gold from the flatware to the napkin rings and water goblets. Brass is also a beautiful accent for any table and Williams Sonoma has plenty of it, just don't forget the brass cleaner. Also if you know someone who loves to cook a gift certificate from this store would make a great birthday or special occasion gift. This is the type of store that I like to visit during the opening hour when all is quiet and I can really "chat up" the associates and find out more about the store and what they have to offer. Today was a bit busy so I will certainly have to make time to visit again in the future.

It's odd to have such an attitude when your company and store and retail in general could use the sales. I was told to keep checking back for restock...not a let me call you when it comes in? The stores have put away most all product that is not Christmas. Christmas items are not necessarily what you give to family and friends since they ask for other everyday items! Employees just stand and say hi. Questions confuse them. I've notice managers and dms also respond rather harshly sometimes so I guess it's passed down? Funny how crowded the store can be but no one leaves with a bag!

I had looked online at the basketweave pouf and I wanted to call the store to make sure that I was taking a trip in hopes of it being in stock. So when I had called the store during my lunch break at work, Stephanie was the one that assisted me over the phone and I could tell that she was quite busy and multitasking at the same time. Nevertheless, she remained absolutely professional and extremely courteous and patient with me as I asked her about whether or not they had the basketweave pouf in stock and where I could find the SKU number on the website because I had trouble finding it and was guided with such care and respect. I had gotten to the store just under 15 minutes until they closed and apologized that I came in so late because I had a migraine. Kari, one of the other workers at the store, was an absolute dream to work with, and Stephanie was sweet enough to be able to also place the color of the pouf that I had taken interest in on hold for me. I ended up purchasing a decorative pillow and a swivel Ottoman chair and I was extremely thankful to Kari because she was able to look at the collage that I had created and answer all my design questions with incredible ease. This is an incredibly hard-working team at pottery barn and I cannot wait to come back and shop more. The environment was incredibly professional, the price point and value of the product was excellent, and the entire staff was lovely and accommodating and now I'll be coming back in the future to look at artwork, accessories and other décor items.

I chose to purchase my sofa at Pottery Barn because I believed the customer service experience would be different. However, the mistake that was made isn't being addressed in a way that makes this experience any better than any other. I read a few other reviews that have also shared my experience. One such one reads, "furniture quality is pretty good, but dealing with any of their employees in-person or online will make you lose what little faith you may still have had in humanity. They cannot issue refunds. They cannot locate orders." This sums up my experience. They are not good with people and with business operations. It is unfortunate and I would not recommend them.

I think customers fail to see this is a very…read moretraditional business model - the company maintains parts inventories but hand assembles most items as purchased. This IS NOT a mass produced Amazon-like manufacturing and distribution operation. You will not get your products next day nor can you buy off the floor in the store. This simply isn't that type of business. I visit the store regularly (it's beside my gym) to browse. Always cool to see new designs. I remodeled my bathroom and decided to splurge a little and get all lighting and hardware through Rejuvenation. Kaye at the store was super helpful and provided a lot of good feedback on my project in general. I ordered four fixtures and cabinet hardware. Kaye was very upfront - 2 to 5 weeks delivery. Certain parts are in limited supply due to the pandemic, so times can vary. It all depends on whether the specific screws, bolts, wires, canopies, shades, etc. needed to build the specific lights you've ordered are on hand at the plant. My lights came in two weeks and a day. That was sooner than I expected. Could I have gotten fixtures more quickly from Amazon or another online retailer? Sure. Could I have gotten less expensive lights? Sure. But nothing like the lights I got from Rejuvenation......these lights are super heavy and substantial, beautiful, and meticulously crafted. And I realized how different of an operation this is when I received the lights. It was clear a person had hand packed my purchases like Christmas gifts to ensure safe delivery. No precast styrofoam or bubble wrap. These folks are literally building your purchase products for you. They are not pulling items off a shelf in a warehouse. That's rare these days.
