I have been having a little bit of trouble finding the right pieces to finish off my apartment that I had recently moved in to. I had looked online at the basketweave pouf and I wanted to call the store to make sure that I was taking a trip in hopes of it being in stock. So when I had called the store during my lunch break at work, Stephanie was the one that assisted me over the phone and I could tell that she was quite busy and multitasking at the same time. Nevertheless, she remained absolutely professional and extremely courteous and patient with me as I asked her about whether or not they had the basketweave pouf in stock and where I could find the SKU number on the website because I had trouble finding it and was guided with such care and respect. I had gotten to the store just under 15 minutes until they closed and apologized that I came in so late because I had a migraine. Kari, one of the other workers at the store, was an absolute dream to work with, and Stephanie was sweet enough to be able to also place the color of the pouf that I had taken interest in on hold for me. I ended up purchasing a decorative pillow and a swivel Ottoman chair and I was extremely thankful to Kari because she was able to look at the collage that I had created and answer all my design questions with incredible ease. This is an incredibly hard-working team at pottery barn and I cannot wait to come back and shop more. The environment was incredibly professional, the price point and value of the product was excellent, and the entire staff was lovely and accommodating and now I'll be coming back in the future to look at artwork, accessories and other décor items. read more

I had a good experience in the store with one of the employees, but she accidentally chose the wrong fabric when she ordered my sofa and the manager of the Ponce City Market store was very rude on the phone. I chose to purchase my sofa at Pottery Barn because I believed the customer service experience would be different. However, the mistake that was made isn't being addressed in a way that makes this experience any better than any other. I read a few other reviews that have also shared my experience. One such one reads, "furniture quality is pretty good, but dealing with any of their employees in-person or online will make you lose what little faith you may still have had in humanity. They cannot issue refunds. They cannot locate orders." This sums up my experience. They are not good with people and with business operations. I ordered my daughter's bed back in April. Projected delivery was September. They charged my credit card fully in July, but then pushed back the delivery date to October. October came and went, and now the delivery date is between November 9-30th. This is not a custom or special item. I tried contacting customer service and I have gotten ZERO reply. The only saving grace (and reason for 2 stars vs 1) is that I also ordered my son's bed in June, fully charged in August- a CUSTOM ITEM! but it was actually delivered in October... After reading several other review of the same problems, I am about to dispute with my credit card company this charge and see what they can do. PB should not be collecting a full payment for an item that is not ready & scheduled to be delivered. read more

Be sure to check quality and warranty of anything bought here that is a William Sonoma product. Warranty for those products are very very short and engineering and quality of those products are not good. I purchased a paper toilet holder, and it keeps falling off the wall. When I contacted the company I found out they couldn't do anything for me, the warranty was only 30 days, and they couldn't tell me the manufacturer; they just suggested that I order a new holder!!! This is the second product I have purchased that has proved to be very poor and that has a extremely short warranty. read more

I just approve her spending. This store is terrific with a great selection and a great staff. Deborah has been amazing in helping us decorate our new home. She has a good eye, and her personal touch in bringing items to our home to try has made the process easy. Complimentary design service, btw. Compare that to the snotty attitude we got at Restoration Hardware... "We won't come to your home unless you're going to spend $15K", the RH biatch said snarkily. How did she know we weren't going to spend that much? Oh well, we did, and RH's loss is PB's big gain - and ours too. WARM AND INVITING! Pottery barn is that store that immediately relaxes you upon entering. Regardless of location, you will find the store always on trend and beautifully decorated. I just love getting inspired by the staging of the various rooms. My taste runs a little different because I like darker pieces and they tend to use much lighter tones. I am looking forward to my son taking some of the existing furniture when he moves into his own space so that I can make room for more intimate pieces. At this time, I will be lightening things up so it is helpful to visit different stores and gather some ideas. Some of the displays were reflective of what I hope to accomplish in my own home. The farm table with benches and upholstered seating is a major trend right now and just reminds me of Kansas as they had several with distressed wood. They always have the best comforters and delicious linens. As fall approaches, I am always looking for ways to change and refresh my decor which can easily be done with new pillows, beautiful candles, art and other accessories like lamps, leather chairs and tables. When I was walking around the showrooms, I was thinking about the fact that people have often told me that my home looks very comfortable and that is exactly what I want to achieve in decorating. I bought $5000 in furniture from Pottery Barn, I was told delivery was free and I get 10% cashback if I applied for the pottery barn card. I thought wow what a great deal so I got the card I purchased a furniture and when they rang it up they charge me at $250 "processing fee" I find this inordinately dishonest. Now granted I'll get $500 cash back for the furniture but I won't really because they charge me $250 entirely made up fees. I'll let that slide because I was still gonna get $250 then I went online to purchase one item that was &299 with 20% off. After they add a tax and everything somehow it was still $280 and I realize it was because they charge me, wait for it, a $29 processing fee. What the heck is this about? So the 10% that I get back with my credit card you charge me up front with a processing fee. This is dishonest and as soon as I get my furniture, I'm canceling this card and I doubt I'll ever shop at pottery barn again. I don't like shady sneaky dealings. just say it's 5% cashback on the credit card and don't charge your stupid fee. Don't lure us in with 10% cashback and then make up a charge to get half your money back. Not cool at all. Plus their "design" staff was basically a lady who sent me a bunch of screenshots of her idea of a lamp a sofa and an end table. It was really a joke and a waste of time. read more

I ordered a new slipcover for PB Sectional in April. Part of it arrived in July. The two bottom cushions were to large for the inserts. PB Customer Service and store manager Jessica worked out a great resolution for me. I took them to my local workroom. They re-made them for a perfect fit. It was a seamless process. So disappointed in my PB Comfort roll arm sofa and DO NOT recommend. I have had this sofa for 3 years and it looks absolutely terrible. The cushions have already been replaced once and do not hold up at all - they are sunken in and have no form. It is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I own and so disappointing for pottery barn furniture. read more

The staff at the Roswell location is excellent. Customer service is 5 star. This rating is for the quality of the chaise lounge I purchased 18 months ago. It broke in half. We are a household of two, both weighing under 165 lbs. Pottery Barn sells it as having a hardwood frame. I don't consider layered plywood equal to hardwood. My sales person and her regional manager consider this unacceptable, as do I. I asked for some sort of store credit but they have to work through the manufacturer who doesn't seem interested in helping. The warranty on PB furniture is one year. My purpose for writing this review is to let people know they may not be getting the quality they think they are buying. I understand buyer beware, but it's not acceptable to rip through the upholstery and batting to check the frame construction. Again, nothing against the team, I really like them. I've purchased 5 pieces of furniture from PB over the past two years. The other pieces are in a second home and haven't had daily use. read more

After reporting to PB that I received a defective product which was also mis-advertised, I discovered that PB provides no means for rating its products and just continues to market them. In our case, we received a Sutton drawer unit for insertion into a custom built closet system. It was advertised as white but came cream colored. Because our system had a custom opening for the unit, we considered sanding and painting it whit but the drawer slides are cheap and dysfunctional, opening only 60%. They are so thin that we could not replace them with fully functional slides. The unit had to be returned and we had to rebuild that section. PB knows that this product is intended for custom installation but fails to warn of these unacceptable conditions. read more

I am a very easily pleased person, never have I felt the need to write a review. However, I spent upwards of 20 minutes waiting as the only person in line to ask one question. Was not once asked if I needed anything prior to that. Finally when I was helped, the woman who helped me was short rude and anything less than helpful.
