I stop by here for tool help and knife sharpening because unlike the big box stores, I know the employees here actually care. I came in with an electric sander that was probably older than me and no clue as to what to buy to make it work. Lorenzo walked me through the entire selection and pointed me towards the right products. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive stuff, just the stuff that I needed. As a mom on a budget, I can't tell you how much I appreciate his kindness. He spent so much time helping me, and walking me through the process of using the sander itself, I feel so much more confident about my project than I did when I first came in. Absolutely disgusting behavior from the female manager. Spent 15 minutes in line while she obviously couldn't keep up with the line all by herself. As well as answering phones (super unorganized), and when I pointed that out she proceeded to repeat that she was the manager and there was nothing one could do. This is a fairly small Ace Hardware. The isles are narrow but they always have what I need. All of the employees I've encountered are friendly and steer you toward the area you need or even escort you directly to the item. I'm always in an out fast because of the customer service and they make keys quickly. Small but loaded with excellent customer service! read more

I don't know the employee the two customers spoke to who was rude to them, but that was years ago and I was at Ace recently for the first time and the two employees we spoke to were friendly and helpful. We walked in and the cashier noticed we were just looking around. She asked if she could help us. Then, after looking in the suggested area, we found another employee who gave us recommendations on products and where else we might be able to find what we needed. He was pretty knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I would definitely go back if I needed more advice when choosing yard supplies. No, they don't have everything, but they have friendly staff who are happy to help. read more

I used to like this ACE because of its small size, in spite of their being more expensive on almost every item, but no more. The management is rude and arrogant and their staff is badly trained. I attempted to get a product cut to size, but it was cut wrong twice. The manager tried to tell me the measurement was as close as they could get (off by 1/8") and I had to accept it. I knew it could be done better at other stores, so the manager then told me to go to someone's else's store if I didn't like it. I walked out and they lost my business forever. Fantastic store and staff. Moved to the area 7 years ago, needed a bunch of stuff for the house. Went back over and over, thought they were going to charge me rent for coming so often. Like the other reviewer, I would shop this Ace even with their higher prices because I wanted to give a locally owned business my business. But I will no longer shop there. I asked if I could get a rain check for an item they were featuring in their sale flyer that was out of stock. This was an item they carry on a regular basis. The arrogant man told me sure, I can get a rain check but I have to pay for the item first. I never heard of paying for something first to get a rain check. I left and will not return. I know that them losing my business won't make a bit of difference to them and certainly won't affect their bottom line, but I will do my best to pass the word. read more
