If you're an iced tea drinker, I highly recommend getting a spiced iced tea. I was skeptical at first, but it's actually just cinnamon iced tea and was lovely. I had the nachos with ground beef. The sauce was not a generic out of the can sauce. the chips were crisp and the ground beef was well seasoned. The only complaint I have if I have to have one is that the jalapeños were very thickly sliced and took over the entire flavor of any bite they were in; a smaller dice on them would've allowed for the jalapeños to be spread out over the entire nacho and not overwhelm the rest of the flavors. My companion had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and said they were both a solid burger and fries no complaints. Wheelchair accessibility: accessible parking across the street with a crosswalk; the front door is heavy so you're gonna either need help or be able to open a heavy door and there's actually two doors but plenty of room to maneuver between. the path of travel wasn't bad and there's wheelchair accessible seating in the back of the restaurant. There is no wheelchair accessible seating in the bar area. The bathroom door was light .The accessible stall in the women's bathroom had a grab bar, but there was not sufficient turning radius and the soap was up a little high.

The complimentory 1/2 loaf of baked bread with cheese, butter and garlic was addictive and quickly consumed. The food was average at best. While we were eating inside this nicely decorated establishment, a homeless person presented to our table twice asking us to give her food. It appeared that she was going to grab food off our table. I was finally able to waive down a waitress and inform of the situation. Finally, the kitchen staff and management were able to escort her out of the restaurant. Our experience at Ciao Mambo was indeed an adventure. The food needs some real attention for flavor, melding of combinations and more development. While the staff hustled all night, I feel that they need better kitchen support to vastly improve the dining experience at Ciao Mambo.

The person at the hostess stand, said that we could have the first table as you walk into the restaurant. But it is a six top. I asked her if we could have a smaller table and she said that she was taking turns with seating for the waiters. So I could wait until somebody else decided to come into the restaurant and then she could sit that family at the six top and then I could go to the other side and sit at a four top. Is this my problem? Does any of this make sense? Now here I am waiting for my food that I placed 40 minutes ago and my waitress has not stopped by once. She just walked by our table and never offered us refills. You would think that the empty beer bottle and glass at the end of the table would be a clue. So now the manager comes out and tells me that they had to have somebody prep the calzone dough and they are just now going to make it. What the heck is going on with this restaurant? Did she offer us refills on our drinks that were sitting at the end of the table empty? No. Did she offer to bring us an appetizer for our inconvenience? Then our waitress shows up for the first time since greeting us an hour ago and apologizes for the mistake. Proceeds to tell us that she rang it up right, but they made it wrong and I tell them about my experience with the hostess. She says she will send the manager out to talk with me. I have just found out that the hostess and the manager are the same person! First thing the manager does is apologize for greeting us at the host to stand the way she did. She then tells us that she is going to comp our whole bill. One beer, one soda, one calzone, and one small cheese pizza. I appreciate you paying for our bill. But I would be extremely grateful if I had my food after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting here. Did not have to pay for any of our meal. Thank you. Very kind. However, I went to enjoy a night out for pizza and beer. Too stressful. Not happy overall.
