I also asked to rent for 4 hours, they allowed me to keep it until they closed that day, for 6 hours! The first edger, after half hour of use had its blade shroud come loose. I took it back to them, they apologized, set me up with a new edger with a brand new blade. When i returned the edger at the end of the day they gave me 15% discount as an apology for the first edger's problem. I honestly cannot say that there are shops that put customer satisfaction as their foremost priority in this day and age. I am so glad I found this place. Guaranteed I will be telling all my friends and family to rent equipment from here. Keep up the good work guys!

I called using the Yelp page, which I think is the easiest way to contact them. I believe their number is incorrect if you simply google them. However, it is correct here! The woman I spoke with on the phone was personable and ensured we had our appointment made. We had John come in to fix our Dishwasher and Oven. He did an awesome job and everything was fixed in no time. I'm very glad that everything was sorted out all in one night. I was super worried that it would be something unfixable. It came out to be about $600 for both appliances to be fixed. Very reasonable when you consider the cost of replacement! I would definitely recommend GoTech to anyone!

He fully explained what caused the leak and what the repair would cost. As the part needed to be ordered he rescheduled the return visit. We had to reschedule once due to a problem on our end and Dennis was very accommodating. Dennis went above and beyond in following up and in accommodating our schedule in order to complete the repair. We were extremely happy with his service and would have no problem recommending GoTech to others! The are definitely now our go-to company for appliance repair.

Unfortunately, due to the worldwide meltdown in shipping and logistics, delivery was delayed. Initially, Dave provided support by facilitating forklift assistance from local businesses and giving some training time to our company VP Linda Williams. But when we received a call from Capital Industrial owner Marie Eade to report further delays, I was resigned to life without a forklift. Out of the blue and reflecting one-in-a-million customer support, Marie arranged a no-cost rental of a Capital Industrial forklift - even delivering the unit to our location at no charge - 2.5 hours distant from Calgary. I cannot express enough admiration and gratitude to Marie, Linda, Dave and all the other employees at Capital Industrial. They all reflect the top down attitude of true customer support in actions, not words. I will gladly pay slightly more for the higher quality and greater personal relationship with Capital Industrial over that of lower cost and lower quality items found at Uline, Amazon and at Canadian Tire. Many were negative and some of the positive ones almost seemed like they had their relatives write them. So, I took a chance on Fort Road Appliances and called them. I accurately described the problem with washer and the guy on the other end of the line was almost certain he knew what it was. (Another place I called had the guy telling me it could be the wiring, etc. He didn't have a clue!) I asked how much it would be and he said he could be here the next day. I got a two hour window and he was here 15 minutes into that time window. He got right to work, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I think he was here less than an hour. I paid what I was quoted and I wasn't going to have to worry about dirty clothes any longer. I paid cash, but I could have also paid by cheque. He didn't have debit and I'm not sure if he could take a credit card, so keep that in mind. The washing machine has operated flawlessly since. I won't hesitate to give Fort Road Appliances a call again should I need another repair. For obvious reasons, I hope I don't have to call them again! Appliance repair tips: - Do some research online before you call an appliance repair company. It's almost guaranteed that someone out there has had the same problem you've had and they've written about it online. In doing this you'll have a rough idea what the problem is, so if the guys on the other end of the phone don't sound like they've got a clue based on your accurate description of the problem, maybe take a pass on their services. Obviously it could be something else, but there's a good chance you can narrow down the range of possibilities. - Make sure to note the make and model number of your appliance when you call, as well as a thorough description of the problem. You'll want to make sure the repairman knows the key details so he can bring the right parts with him.

He claimed he fixed my dryer. He didn't. After it broke again, they suddenly decided it needed replacing. Then came the complete lack of communication -- over a week went by with no update until I had to chase them down. Scheduling was a joke. They refused to work around normal 9-5 jobs, then promised a weekend delivery before noon. Shockingly, they didn't show up on time. I had to call them at 11:40am just to remind them, only to be told to reschedule. They then promised to call Monday. They didn't. I had to call again Tuesday. Three weeks later, still no working dryer and nothing but broken promises, rude service, and zero accountability. If you enjoy being talked down to, ignored, and chasing a company to do the bare minimum, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.
