He also asked for my preferences when it came to fragrances and truly delivered, plus I feel like every time he comes he leaves a little pleasant surprise. I haven't had any issues with scheduling because my schedule is flexible and he always makes sure to communicate with me for any changes. Tried to book a deep cleaning as I've heard this person does an amazing job... And was so into the details that my friend was discussing the work days later. When I asked her for the contact information, she warned me that this person was very specific and too much for her and her husband and I should have listened. She was too nice to tell me that this person is kind of unhinged and may treat you unprofessionally. Totally on me that I had reached out about booking and then didn't get back to them for a while. I had no pressure on placing the booking so thought it wasn't a big deal. I thought we could just proceed as normal at their convenience for scheduling and then I got an odd message that felt like it was mocking me for saying I was busy. When I stated that felt a little mean spirited, they then proceeded to write multiple paragraph responses and send me a voice note saying that everyone has hard things happening in their life and then I had no excuse for not "locking in" and booking with him quickly. It was really weird for a service oriented business when I've been very polite up to that point. I totally believe in treating Service people with respect, especially someone who's going to take care of a space that's intimate and important to me, but no matter how good he is I just can't justify feeling so stressed about interacting with someone. I've been using Lyptus for about six months, and I'm genuinely obsessed; I often joke that I would give up everything else in my budget before I gave up Lyptus. They're so much more than a cleaning service; it's more like a full home refresh. I'm so particular about the aesthetics of my studio apartment, and I give the Lyptus team free rein because I trust them completely to clean, creatively organize, and style the space. I have never, not once, been disappointed, if anything they keep raising the bar with each visit. To give an example- I have a Frida Kahlo/Diego Rivera art book on my coffee table that features a lot of calla lilies in paintings; on top of displaying it in a cool way on my table, Lyptus started bringing calla lilies to my cleanings and making these gorgeous floral arrangements. Their attention to detail is out of this world, no nook or cranny is ever left untouched, they listen when I have special requests (like a window focus, etc), and they're easy and fun to communicate with. The homecare services that Lyptus provides feels more like having your very own personal assistant / cleaning / spa / design guru swoop into your home and make magic happen. They follow any directives on specific areas of focus, but TRULY shine when given the trust to have creative liberties. Every time we come home after a Lyptus Day (as we call it), feels like coming home to a new space. I allow them to have free rein because their subtle decor arrangements keep my tiny NY apt feeling new and draws the eyes and focus to pieces we forget we even have. When I come home after the apartment is always sparkling clean and there is always a unique creative added twist, whether that be flower arrangement, Eucalyptus in the shower, a drawer unexpectedly rearranged, and that familiar Lyptus original scent. I have read all previous reviews and yes, I can imagine most are true. With anyone who is top in their field, you can expect a bit of temperamentally. We came back and the place is absolutely transformed - Justin was able to get out spots and stains that I had given up on long ago, and every surface and floor was sparkling clean. I especially appreciated his eye for organization and design; he shuffled around some things in the office proactively that look a lot better now than they did before. The team is responsive, transparent on pricing, and professional. Each and every time I have returned home it feels like I'm walking into a brand new apartment - it's spotless, and we are often welcomed with lovely floral arrangements and candles. Spotless is also not an over exaggeration, I'm consistently impressed with hard to clean areas such as kitchen/bathrooms.
