The Powerwall continually goes offline, with repeated attempts to reset its controller failing to fix the problem. Two years - and nothing but an expensive and unreliable result. I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. In my opinion, moving a customer's security camera without permission is a serious security concern. Xcel's website has a list of companies you should use I'll provide a list below. I was pleased to find that REenergizeCO did them all and were more than just an installer but on mission to increase energy efficiency. From start to finish communication was fantastic. They first did the insulation and we noticed a difference almost immediately. They also took care of submitting the Xcel rebate paperwork for it. The solar panels and EVSE came a bit later. Again, they took care of all the paperwork with Xcel. The system has been working without flaw since and saving us tons of money in this inflated energy cost environment. We had them out recently to detach and reset the panels for a roof replacement. They took the opportunity to slightly tweak the layout for better efficiency. Still the same commitment to quality!

Mike came out, took the time to really look at everything, and quickly identified the likely cause: my space heaters. Instead of pushing unnecessary repairs or trying to upsell me, he told me to wait until my new furnace was installed and see if the problem continued. That kind of honesty is rare. He easily could have convinced me to spend a lot of money on electrical work, and I probably would have agreed because I was stressed and frustrated. He was knowledgeable, straightforward, and clearly experienced. And he was 100% right...once the new furnace was installed and the space heaters were gone, the issue completely stopped. Whenever I got an issue in front of the right person, they took it seriously and got things moving. The system itself is working great. The one area that really needs improvement is project management. From my perspective it was largely absent--I received essentially no responses from my assigned PM, and even my request for a new one went unanswered. Issues that could have been handled earlier, including a requirement identified before construction, contributed to an inspection failure and months of delay in fully closing out the project. I also had to request a final walkthrough myself, which seems like something project management should have coordinated. What is bizarre is how strong the rest of the team was. Operations in particular did a great job stepping in when things needed attention, and the people actually doing the work and operational oversight were great. It felt like a lot of very capable people were working there and able to get around the project-management function. I'd recommend Photon Brothers. I'm happy with the finished product and everyone that I interacted with were excellent with the exception of the nonexistent project manager. My main suggestion would be to make sure there is clear, responsive project ownership from beginning to end, including a way to hand a project to someone else when that isn't happening.

With our installation, they did a fabulous job. They dealt with the county - which took several months to get the permit, which they warned us about up front. Then, they installed our solar panels and the critter guard, working with the county inspector as required. The master electrician who came to hook it up was great - clearly very knowledgeable. Make sure they provide you with a detailed quote including an itemized breakdown of materials and labor costs. Failure to demand this could be costly. 2.
