I take public transport everywhere I travel and I travel frequently. Orlando's LYNX is the worst I've experienced and I have experienced the Chicago CTA of Bob Newhart fame. LYNX is very unreliable. I got the week long pass and have only been able to take 4 rides because buses run so rarely and are never on time. A number of times I waited over an hour and a half which means 3 buses failed to show up. The drivers are unable to help an out of towner find connections or they just don't care to. I had a driver who was rude in two languages to 4 tourists from Europe. Two drivers looked at me and didn't stop. The buses are clean maybe because they don't pick up a lot of riders. read more

I wanted to give a shout out to Rosie, my bus driver for 311 and 42 during my visit in Orlando. She was very cordial and friendly! She also communicated well when it came to letting everyone on bus 311 that we would need to change to bus 42 due to a problem with the bus. We had a day in Orlando, and were directed to the Lynx transportation system to get around. The driver was great, and did a lot to help us, since our original direction (from those outside the Lynx system) was not as helpful as we wished. Lynx is a system which does well for what it is, getting from one known destination to another, especially if commuting for your job. This system does not do well for those of us spending time and finding places to go to spend time during a very long (7-hour) layover. Take it for what it is, and take the time to research the routes and destinations. read more

I take the bus and train, or walk and bike whenever possible. I prefer to leave my car parked in my driveway as much as possible. That being said, I have waited 4 different times for Lynx bus #40 outbound at the Division Ave and Church St stop, all waiting for the 2149 hour bus on Saturday nights. All 4 times that particular bus at the time period never showed up. On one occasion, we had 17 people at the bus stop waiting for that same bus to go to SODO. There were no alerts on the Lynx site and the tracker kept saying the bus was arriving and/delayed up to 5 minutes. The bus never showed. The following bus, at 2249 hours did show, according to a friend who stayed behind and waited. The rest of us, on all 4 occasions walked home. Three other times, including last night, April 6, 2025, several people and my wife and I waited for bus #11 on Orange Ave at Jackson St, twice for the 2148 hour bus and once for the 2048 hour bus. Same story, bus #11 never showed. No alerts, and tracker said it was arriving, but never did. I know for a fact, all of the buses never arrived, because all 7 times, we walked home using the same route, Division Ave for 40, and Orange Ave for #11. The bus never passed us as we walked home each time. I am okay with a bus reroute or canceled, but notify us on the website or app. It would also be nice to have a number to call dispatch during bus operating hours we can call when this happens to find out why or when or where we can catch thevbus if it does not intend on showing up at a scheduled stop. I do have an inquiry in at Lynx, but I have not received any answers or explanations. This is very poor bus service and even worse customer service. I really wish Sunrail ran on weekends and later. Lynx Access bus service is the worst. Every week there is a screw up with a round-trip that is on a subscription. Either she has been removed from the schedule or.they are not showing her for puck up. Not one person including Mgmt could provide a reason why this happens every single week. I now have to call every single morning to confirm a round-trip pickup. That the purpose of a subscription so I do not have to call for pick up and drop off at the same demand pick up every day. Customer service socks along with mgmt. Then the final straw on Thursday January 18th. Pick up was at 730 am my mother did not arrive yo her destination until 2 hours later. No call from Lynx Access to inform me my mother was 2 hours late. I had to receive a call from the facility where she was supposed to have been but didn't arrive until 10:11. When I called to see why as of this day I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM MGMT OR RECEIVE A CALL BACK AS TO WHY THIS HAPPEN!!!!! THIS TYPE OF SERVICE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. If you have to.use Lynx good luck because their customer service, the managers. Teak leads and reps are the worst ever!!! Seek other means of transportation because Lynx is not dependable! Busses frequently drive right past you, drivers have no idea where they are going on the route and just blindly follow directions (i.e. if you ask, "does this bus go down john young?" they can't answer cause they don't know.). Busses are frequently extremely late or extremely early, bus drivers frequently have a bad attitude and try to exert what little power they think they have over innocent bystanders (saw a bus driver try to kick a man off the bus for quietly cursing in his own private conversation with his friend. I personally held the bus, that came very early, for an elder woman walking with a cane who was literally 10 steps away. The bus driver told me I should just worry about myself and get on the bus. Keep in mind he could see with his own eyes this elderly woman trying to rush to get on the bus.) If your bus stop is also a school bus stop then you'd better find a new stop because they will routinely drive past you with the excuse of "I thought you were a student." Yes, I am a student with no bookbag waving down the city bus. (Thats sarcasm.) Also, students ride the public bus as well to reach school. So if i was a student, youve just made me late for school. BEWARE! I was initially quoted a price and put down a $200 deposit. Two days prior to pickup, I got a call from "Junior" claiming that he had 2 carriers each wanting $300 more than my contracted price. He said he was confident he could get one of them down to the agreed price. The following day he called back and said he could only get them down $100 and that it would cost an additional $200. I told him I had a contract and he said that amount was "pending driver availability"! At this point I had no choice but to pay the additional $200! The carrier was fine and actually got the car down earlier than expected. From reading other remarks it appears that $200 is the popular amount for increasing quote amounts. Stay Away! read more

Sometimes the bus gets to the stop early and sometimes it gets there extremely late. I agree that the experience of using the transport system as a commuter can be very different from my experience as a traveller looking for a connection to and from the airport, and my verdict is that I'd take it again if only because there is no other option for affordable public transport. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere because the 11 bus we took got in a minor accident, then we realised were on the wrong bus. We waited for the same bus to the Orlando airport but two buses that run every 30 minutes were a no show, and we ended up wasting more than one hour at the bus stop. Luckily we were early for our flight, but otherwise would have missed our flight. When the bus finally came, it was an easy 10-minute ride to the airport, although the driver was helpful but not friendly. I have noticed a problem with the ( bus 26) bus drivers allowing a couple to be a bull to have access on the bus cause the woman is in a wheel chair which I question the need. Is not allowing the driver to secure the chair, the man will sit on the counter behind the driver and would yell at guest to take the back door and act like they control the bus. I am sorry this is unacceptable. I am unhappy to see there are runs that dont show up on time for passengers and some times they will cancel a run. They had a bus tracker app that they discontinued which is sad. They claim to have free wifi on there buses and some buses dont have it. An some routes should have better frequency so passengers dont wait and wait for hours. They need alot of work to improve there service and be better. I'm a daily rider on Lynx 300 to Disney Springs/ TTC. It's necessary for me to utilize this route to get to and from work every day. However, there is the far too frequent problem with buses not just running late, but not showing up at all. I understand that there are staffing issues, but it's unacceptable to standing at the station for well over an hour for a bus that's supposed to arrive every 30 minutes and get ZERO communication from Lynx. I try to ride the bus to and from work 6 days a week but it's very hard to do when SCHEDULED ROUTES don't bother to show up. I have complained to Lynx online on several occasions. They have not replied or bothered to try and rectify this inconvenient situation. I have limited funds as it is but being late to work every other day is not helping. Now I hear you are adding new routes to make it easier for people but if problems with your current SCHEDULED ROUTES are being ignored and continue to occur then what's the use in adding to the chaos that is not being fixed.
